Original post has been updated regarding starlight parcels but wanted to also add that during this time we also investigated the issue with the Simril Helper bonus Light of Simril. Unfortunately that issue requires a more complex fix and we cannot address it yet. After the holidays we will be taking a further look at this issue.

Am I the only one having much the same things with the little daily fortune cookie thingies as people seem to be having with parcels? Most days that I open the fortune after the dude by the telescope gives me a fortune, the fortune just disappears from my inventory with no noticeable effect - no message, no change in inventory, no change in currencies listed under Riches.
Same here, I've got some scroll of fate (Very few), but most days nothing, nada, 0 Not even lore
The only issue here is failure to understand how the fortunes work.
Some but not all of the possible fortunes come paired with a Scroll of Fate. Fortune X will always come with Scroll Y, type of thing.
If you have received a specific fortune before, you can't get the lore entry for it again. You will get the corresponding Scroll *if* it's a fortune that comes with one.
You don't get anything else from fortunes. The Lights and Star are granted when you turn in the quest.
Wow I am shocked, actual compensation for those affected. Good job you guys actually came through for once. Anticipating all my parcels I used to be in my inventory tomorrow tho..

Note that the updates go bottom to top in order they were posted. the 4pm update was the day Julia made this thread, the 3:22 is the day after (and hence a date was added). Therefore the 3:22pm note on the 21st would override the 4pm note (which was added on the 20th).
Due to the PC maintenance happening tomorrow, the fix will roll out to PC right after the 7-9am maintenance. Console is still set for midnight. During the fix roll out, all players will be kicked out momentarily. In-game messaging will notify players of the shutdown.
As previously stated, as soon as the fix is implemented, we will begin crediting players for any opened starlight parcels.

Opened. You could go ahead and open any parcels you may have obtained but haven't opened yet but since the fix isn't live, you won't get the third item.

This fix was a pretty big group effort that had to be put together in a way that would be both timely and wouldn't require a full new build or certification. That means that information is often outdated and requires clarification.

While it would certainly be an impressive windfall to get double parcels if you haven't actually opened any yet, anyone who hasn't *opened* parcels doesn't really deserve to be compensated for a bug that never affected them, now do they?
They are saying to open what you currently have, I stopped opening them, but I only have a couple let so no big deal, not going to log just to open a few more. There is a chance that the unopened one will still not function as expected but I doubt anyone is sitting on more than a few per character. The reality is the third reward is not going to make or break you on a few parcels. Be glad they are replacing the previously opened ones, that is an honorable thing to do and it is probably a fair amount of scripting to scour the logs to find who needs what and put it there, so I for one appreciate the effort.

Julia, would you say we should open the parcels we have now, before the MT? I hadn't been opening mine as the gifts stack to 10 and dealing with bag space before a 2xEnchants Weekend... Is it the loot table thats bugged or the parcels themselves?
This bit is kind of important to clarify, otherwise people like me are potentially going to have bugged gifts later.
Are you kidding me? so now instead of getting useless novelty items we get mostly blue rare regular USELESS equipment? WTF? You guys are seriously just trying to drive everyone away from the game, 10 gifts opened AFTER fix and all I got was 10 different blue unidentified items....FU too.
On the first day of the Winter Festival I spent (the purchases on zen are on record through PayPal) roughly $45 and put it all into the parcels. I'm curious to know what my compensation will be and if my information is needed to verify, email me through my arc accounts email.
Bad rng is bad rng. You are at least getting the items you weren't getting with your bad rng before. I got 10 epic companions, both gond mounts, a forgehammer, and a throne of the lion with 140 bought parcels. I'm excited to get my refunded parcels and do it again.
I would accept the amount of the parcels bought with zen, if i bought 40 then i would like 40 of them back. Or 60 then i would like 60 of them back. I do not want refund in Zen .

zkorinn, you should open them. You'll get credit for the ones you opened. We'll be sending out Starlight Parcels over the course of 12/22, but there are a LOT to send, so it'll take some time, probably most of the day. You should be getting one Starlight Parcel for each one you opened between 12/15 (when the festival started) and when your shard gets the fix applied (midnight an hour or so ago for Xbox and PS4, at the start of the maintenance tomorrow for Dragon and Drider).
