Shorter characters such as halflings and dwarves seem to be at a real disadvantage in the sahha volley event match, I personally run a human but it seemed that in the 2 matches I ran today the dragonborn and human characters were the only ones getting most of the volleys, just an observation.
Thanks for the report nightranger! Sounds like those humans and dragonborn just got a little more practice in before the match. The hitboxes for the abilities are independent of the player model. We're not actually doing anything based on your character's height.
3 hours farming, over 2000 vollies. 30ish mitral tickets. You guys just need to farm more. Exchange your ad, get some balls, juggle them with your mates
30 mithral tickets 3 hrs, ur cahnce for epic loot? write here when ya get one epic mount, btw most of us play around 2 hrs a day to have fun not to grind. But good luck, hope ya score some good loot farming this event.
Sahha could be made much better if they simply added nets or forcefields around the pitch to prevent the balls from going out-of-bounds, then the game would be a lot of fun without half the time spent resetting!
I really want to get the fashion outfit, all three pieces, which costs a total of 880 copper tickets... going by the reports on this thread I might as well give up that idea if copper tickets are as rare as they seem!
After playing a good number of Sahha games I have a total of 6 copper tickets... and I need to spend 3x 48 tickets to learn the other 3 Sahha skills? On top of the 880 I need for the fashion items?

If you take a moment to read the previous posts before replying, you'll see that the developers stated most tickets will come from the friendly volley parties, not the competitive matches.
1059 volleys. Only 143 copper so far 88 silver by comparison and 17 mithril. From what I've observed, silver drops are either outpacing (or pacing) copper. It's only too bad that all the petals that I'm getting aren't copper tickets instead...
Hmm. Copper is slightly outpacing silver and both are grossly outpacing mithril (which I suppose shouldn't be surprising). That said, it looks like the copper drop rate (for me, at least) is about 13.5%. If I extrapolate this, then:

I do realise that, however, tickets do indeed drop from Sahha games, I was just commenting on how few actually do drop is all, which as the dev pointed out was intended. I disagree with that decision, I think that if the low copper ticket drop rate is working as intended then they should have added other methods for us to get them, other than the Zen Store!
If the low copper ticket drop rate is not intended then I hope they fix it soon! I participated in a volley party with 5 players and we managed a total of 367 volleys... I only received 44 copper, 8 silver, and 0 mithril tickets total!

It would also be a lot better if there was any kind of instructions or perhaps a way to practice. In my two games of Sahha so far (and I really have no motivation to play more at the moment) my takeaway is that you should not try to hit the ball because it's [slightly] more effective to stand in front of it so when an opposing player hits it it will bounce off of you. It's also incredibly difficult to follow the ball through the air once it's close to you (like if it goes over your head), so there's that too.

Go to the pitch in the public festival area and grab a Sahha ball from one of the many crates of balls around the field, bring a friend and practise away!
Don't know if the mount is bound, would love to know....also my volley counter doesn't go up from playing the 5v5 game......but I was able to get 2000 volleys and 20 purple tickets in about 2-3 hours with 3 of us using 30-40 balls....just by standing in a corner and hitting the ball up and down.....two people can actually stand on top of each other and you eat two drops at once.....didn't get a mount with the purples....but managed to get 25 brutals with the silver tickets
lol so apparently they're only giving one ball per day from the daily quest.
So 23 balls for the whole festival or ~3450 volleys max. Considering how the first couple of parties I was in went I doubt most people will even hit that many.

702 volleys and ONLY 2 mithril. My curent chance to find a mithril is then 2/(700-300) = 0,5% Chance to find legendary stuff = 0,5% Overall chance = 0,25% No thank you...keep on opening lockboxes.

The real issue here isnt the fluffy chance at a mithril, its that coppers should drop like ten x the rate for players and silver at 5x more rate to make this at all worth doing.
They really , really messed up on the coppers at least.. everyone shouldve been able to get whatever fashions they wanted for a couple of toons at least.
Wowzers on this.. really really bad math on someones part.
i stopped using the saha balls and wait, if there will come a fix to the copper droprate. the STO summerevent had a similar issue last year (not enough tikis dropping from the hunting quest) or 2 years ago, and it got fixed within a week by increasing the droprate. i wouldnt bet on it, but like now, it feels like a waste of time
edit: i just got mats for crafting one ball today, and no zen store voucher or mats for a second ball.. is this intended, and do we get the one ball from crafting only? i believed, that there will be a free voucher every day

if you got the materials to craft a sahha ball from the daily quest then that is your free one. This year they make you work for your free stuff

Trouble is, the game itself is basically five-a-side football. I hate, loathe and despise football so there is no way I am going to spend/waste any more of my time playing it throughout the Summer Festival. One game was much more than enough
I pretty much agree. Spent about an hour in the fest, playing one match and don't see me going back any time soon.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

So 30-40 balls, around 3000-4000 zen spent and 3 hours of boring clicking, for 25 r7 brutals? no thanks (or was 10-14 balls per person?). You even can get unlucky with mithral ticket drops, some people getting 20 tickets out from 2000 volleys but others can get 10 or less because is rng.
I'm just going to play with the free 2 or 3 balls per day and that would be even worse than farming ad or rp in game but at least would be something different and healthy and just would take around 20 min per day for 2 matches at most, and would open the few mithrals the last day not expecting more than some silver ticket rewards and few tradebars.
Unfortunately, after the first day where you get 3 balls, the daily quest rewards either 1 ball for playing a match, or the material to craft one ball via crafting. That is all. 1 ball per day after the first day.
So far as I know there is no other way to gain the crafting materials other than the daily quest!

Really? haven't played today, so i guess would be 10 min instead 20 min of this event for me per day, i guess more time for ad or rp farm.
I want the top and bottom part of the fashion and at least one body paint. And I was so excited I used 3 free sahha ticket-balls and spent 400 zen on four more. I got 42 copper tickets and a huge amount of fireworks (218 to be exact). If I knew my 400 zen would only give 42 copper ticket out of the 880 I need to have for at least a full fashion, I would've just upgrade an enchantment to rank 11 instead. I'm not even going to try to farm the volley game because 10 mins for petals and more firework is an insult.
