Oh totally forgot to include those, like entering trial of traps (the one whit the unskipable cutscenes) only to get a player who is running like mad from mobs just to save 20 s of combat ignoring that other players may actually try to enjoy the new content or are at a low level... then after waiting more time on the campfire than if he had helped with mobs he starts calling them idiots..... in fact this is the cool way to do it, even seen some guides... "run infront of the idiots".
edit: previois post removed due to "trolling" e g. calculating percents of bots to the previously listened number of total players and making conclusions of how many players are such. But i am sure eveeyone can do that using /who mage waternode zone.... i agree that the comment that most of the rp-zones are filled with players who's every second sentance is "drinks Whisky" should not have drawn conclusions about those players's age thou.

Design flaws bring out the worst in people, im avoiding places where i might run into ninjas, sometimes i try to help people but mostly i just get trashed not playing my HR "the proper way" i dont pug or lfg dungeons anymore, cesspool, u only get blamed for your mistakes no one gives advice or take it when given, to sum it up "best" advice ive had was "fk off noob" very uplifting
Ive stayed away from respens alltogether, cos there are players who want to have a good enjoyable experince and "fun". At this point im do frustrated that i might spoil it for some players.
I tried it, no thank you, because this game cannot implement proper level scaling content for all players im skipping these kind of "fillers" still run SCAs for comps and stuff but this kind of content is pure nonsense for overall gaming.
I miss long dungeon runs and rewarding content.
but glad some people are enjoying the game and so i dont want to spoil it for them.

I guess in a way it is a "fun" look at the mentality of some people. I really like the folks in IWD that draw the demons from the HE either away from the HE so it stalls or into the PVP area so they can fight you. This is where I guess I am at a loss.. I cant for the life of me understand how thinking "hey watch this.. I am going to make these people mad" is any fun. Maybe it is me that is wrong so I will check this by going Atlanta (i live in Georgia.. simple redneck here) and start yelling racial slurs.. That should make a group of people mad. Wonder what a group of angry people in "real life" will do? They will surely think it is fun to.. be sure to look for me on the evening news as the top headline.. "idiot who incites beat down now recovering in hospital"
I believe that I am getting too old to play online games in general. My level of frustration with the quality of people that end up playing online games seems to never end. Simple things that make no sense to me make me wonder what in the world is going on with our society as a whole. A simple example is the person who waits until you kill the Thayans and then swoops in while you are killing the last guy and takes the wizard bag. Not much of offense but a general HAMSTER bag move for sure. When you thank that person for their stupidity they simply respond "nooob" and then "get ignored".. wow.. if I were a betting man, I would say that was the classic work of a kid and if he/her were mine they would be missing part of their body or be sleeping softly in a shallow grave. What drives people to be this way.. is it too much work to be polite and courteous to others? How about those people you pick up 2-3 times because they cannot live through a demonic fight and then they call you names? Where is the logic in this? Sorry for the rant.. have more fun picking on this post but just thought I would vent for a few.
Douchbags have been douchbaggin since the beginning of time. I noticed it in Ultima Online, Everquest, CoH, AC, AO, MxO, AoC, you name it.
The difference here and now is that with all the other problems that the game has it's the straw that broke the camel's back. I would just yell some nonsense at him in zone or say chat and just move on. I yelled at a guy who did something similar the other day, I think I typed something along the lines of, "STOP SCARING ALL THE FISH AWAY!" and then just changed zone instances. Considering it was in the Well of Dragons, I'm sure if he even was paying any attention it caused a moment or two of head scratching before he continued doing whatever it was that was annoying me at the time.
It's just people, cant hit em in the head with a brick, so may as well just move on.
is being ninja'd all that prevalent. I haven't done dailies etc. for a while but I think in my time levelling 3 toons up to 70 I've only been ninja'd 2 or 3 times.
It has always been prevalent in MMOs. It's just that as time goes on we become less and less tolerant of it
What kids today are taught in America - it has to do with age and the 'Me Generation' and "Wealth Redistribution" which is mandatorily redistributed from you and me to 'Them'.
In my experience, this is the most accurate reason to describe the type of behaviour we see in MMO's today. In fact a lot of the kids aren't taught anything, but are left to their own devices in front of the PC with little-to-no moderation. It leads to bad behaviour and bad etiquette in gaming. They want everything now with the least effort to obtain it.

I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!
If someone can get the objective, because can, what do you expect? At least people only steal your objective, not back stab kill, then loot you, like it takes place in some open world PvP games.
Currently the people who are going around the door in the beholder event dungeon are upsetting me. You are so impatient that you can't wait 5 seconds? So now they end up waiting a much longer time before I get in the circle to group up at the beholder. Because karma.
Okay, what is the harm doing that? Everybody else can be in position to kick the small guys without going all the way back to the circle. It did nothing about getting loot of the beholder. Mind you that I don't do that with PUG. However, with private party, it is faster for everyone. i.e. we only need to send one guy to talk to the NPC and all others can stay with a small guy.

For OP, I just don't like to compete with others for getting bags in WoD. I only do that when next to nobody is around. Otherwise, I just move to another instance. It is not because there may be thief but I just prefer to get all the bags ASAP without waiting.

@kreatyve, how the heck do you know the whole group is on it? Why punish random people for the behavior of one? We all have time constraints and this is pretty maddening to me .. when 1 person doesn't get into the circle.

It was my understanding that if we feel someone is breaking the rules we report them and move on.

Not just the anarchy zones or arenas, but competing for loot, nodes, who gets what first, who levels fastest, who finishes their new armor set quickest, are ALL pvp functions. The modern noob player doesn't understand this. They think that the tacked on anarchy zones are what pvp is all about, so they are happy and the game makers don't fix anything. But because of the way these zones were implemented, griefing with no consequences, we created a culture of immature little weenies running around thinking they are impervious to repercussions.
However, the whole reason to be full-time pvp is so that when some weeny decides to grab your loot, or call you names you can plant him on his HAMSTER. This is what the alignment system is all about in DnD. The more you grief people, the more your alignment goes bad thus restricting where you can go, what you can do and as a result you have an incentive not to be an HAMSTER hat. Conversely, if you take the high road most the time, your rep gets better and you get more recognition.
If a nit grabs your loot and you kick his butt, he has the option to complain to the authorities, but it may not be in his/her best interests. As can you, if you are not in a position to kick his HAMSTER as in level 40's stealing from level 20's etc.
The next major step in MMORPGs will be a true pvp system with consequences, and a full implementation of alignments, reputations and everything related.

I've encountered an OP who wouldn't get into the circle before going around and killing every enemy and topping the paingiver board, only to lose it again after the boss fight. For some stupid reasons pugs still think paingiver gives them a higher chance at drops. Another one of many reasons where overuse of group circles in short event skirmishes can be frustrating.
Again, wasting everyone else's time for selfish personal reasons is simply narrow minded and immature, because they feel they can since everyone else is obligated to wait for them.

Going around the door actually speeds it up for everyone especially if someone is waiting right there when the last vent is opened, cause everyone is already spread out to knock out the deep gnomes and doesn't have to re-distribute out. Because grinding out cut scenes over and over is fun right lets make it all take longer?

I can relate it to a similar overreaction to punish everyone else due to a personal annoyance.

How is it not? There is already a system to deal with people who you feel are breaking the rules. It is, after all, Cryptic's call. Not up to individual players. Holding up the entire group because you feel they deserve punitive retribution is the very definition of vigilante justice.
I used to have a guild mate that loved to pug for a T2 dungeon to only go and dance at each boss fight. He would do this to see how long it took for the group to kick him. I could not for the life of me understand what was fun about doing that. Sad thing is that cat was a grown man.. The more I think about this whole thing, the more I believe my personality and upbringing are keeping me from enjoying parts of the game. I think today I take my 4k GWF to Blacklake and quick kill mobs and then spam "nooob" to all the low level toons.. on the surface this seems like it wouldn't be fun but who knows.. lol
