Yeah I agree and after digging around its cryptics provider that is actually at fault, not saying theres no fault on cryptic, its clear they need to step on their provider and get some answers since their scapegoat has been called out and proven wrong. All other "layer 3" services function just fine.
Its also worth pointing out that the EA game service was also affected by the layer 3 but corrected itself early in the AM and has been pristine since. The only provider of any kind that I can find still hiding behind this layer 3 thing is Neverwinter. Either way why a boston company isn't working with comcast on services is beyond me, kinda tells you they went with the bottom dollar internet provider.

They aren't a boston company, they are based in NorCal. Whether the server we all play through is in boston or not, remains to be seen.

I live in the NW, have Comcast, have a higher end PC, was playing fine before the patch but now can't even play without server connection pauses every 30 secs which often disconnect. Nothing is smooth, lots of rubberbanding ... that is if I make it in to play without hours of load screen patching. We can blame servers or service providers but how relevant is it that this problem is since the last patch? Could there be issues with the patch?

The last three days I have had bouts where it takes 30 min or more just to log in through the NW launcher. Anyone else having problems with the launcher as well?

I am not going to get mad, I just hope there will be resolution and hopefully this will be prevented in the future. I personally wish I had fiber where I live, Comcast is one of the worse companies in the world. I really can't blame Crytic for this since Comcast has resources that would trump any game studio. Maybe even all of them combined. Since many people I communicate with out of the country are gaming just fine, and other ISP's in the country, logical troubleshooting does point to Comcast. In my experience of working as a network technician for longer than I care to mention Comcast has been horrid at accepting blame until they have a complete outtage and then just gives every customer worse customer service than any company I have dealt with. Try and ask them for even a one day discount for their outtage periods and then come back here and complain. Also, the tiers on connectivity via TCP/IP are very possibly the main culprit. Take a basic course at a Community College in Network+ and you will learn how complex issues become as the tier level rises.

Well then it's an open and shut case huh? I guess everything is just peachy keen, nevermind the fact that your paying customers are unable to play YOUR game. Yeah we can all play other games just fine though, I guess it's no big deal for us to go ahead and play those games and spend money on those games. Seriously whether it's Arc's fault or not there are paying customers that are unable to play THIS game for some reason, I'd like to think you guys would take it a little more seriously than this. I play one game at a time, that's just the kind of gamer that I am, and if your game doesn't work for me then I will spend my recreation time playing another game, and I highly doubt I'll be buying zen if I'm not playing Neverwinter. This is not intended as a threat to quit, more of a reality check.
TLDR: YOUR game does not work for me, every other game I own works fine. Fix it please.

Neverwinter Module 6: The only MMO expansion in the history of MMO's to remove more content than it added.
So, I'm able to log in now by using the Europe Proxy Server. However, there are still issues. The game loads for characters currently located in Protector's Enclave, but does not load (Server not responding) for my GWF who is currently in Mt Hotenow. So, different servers for different locations in the game apparently, some working some not?

Also the gateway is nonfunctional at times constantly disconnecting me and making me relog in while playing swordcoast adventures and trying to manage all my professions are also difficult from the gateway with it taking upwards of 3 minutes to change things out at best or recieving a disconnect message and relogging. Streaming HBO works beautifully and I mention that because according to layer 3's site they host HBO's streaming content. This isn't a comcast thing nor an ISP issue, its Neverwinter only and neverwinters supplier of bandwidth is shafting them.

Safe to say if you are in one of these areas it will take time for them to resolve their connectivity. If you can't play this game and are willing to get super upset, then you need to chill. This happens. Taking it out on a forum moderator helps nobody. The development team are well aware by now and will compensate us. Find a book. Play another video game. Go for a walk. Making someone's job miserable when they literally have their hands tied is borderline sadism.

Heh, thanks @kominatcha - I understand folks' frustration though, especially now with the Tech team not finding any issues on their end. I'm hoping now that the tracert info being sent to them will help them find if such an issue is indeed there or at least hope to hear back again that they still cannot find an issue and what to suggest to folks still having these issues. For right now, all I can think of is that these folks may want to flush their DNS and/or reboot their Modems, for barring that I can only then think it is an Network/Provider issue if there is no Server issue.
But how can it be our ISP if people 3000 miles away are reporting the exact same thing and 99.99999% of the internet to me is completely alright and the only issues are your game and your website?
I am having the same problem but I am an XB1 player. I have comcast as my provider in Maryland. I do not know how to do a tracer via xb1 though. I have been on the phone with comcast all day and they keep hanging up on me or putting me on hold for hours.They say it is xbox and that xbox needs to do port forwarding...bunch of bs!!

I hope this helps. I'm over in the Augusta, GA area. EDIT: Also I ran into problems last night at around 0300EST before I went to bed and woke up at 1600EST to find the problem still persisting. Right now it is 0137EST and the problem still continues.
I decided to verify the game files and it said 2 files were not validated so it would download new ones and now my launcher is not loading and I'm sitting watching the patcher patch itself as slow as my old 90's dialup connection. It gets to about the 20.HAMSTER mb mark and then loses connection, reacquires said connection and restarts the download fresh.

Handy site for keeping track of pings and tracerouts. This is my most current result. I am not going to get mad, I just hope there will be resolution and hopefully this will be prevented in the future. I personally wish I had fiber where I live, Comcast is one of the worse companies in the world. I really can't blame Crytic for this since Comcast has resources that would trump any game studio. Maybe even all of them combined. Since many people I communicate with out of the country are gaming just fine, and other ISP's in the country, logical troubleshooting does point to Comcast. In my experience of working as a network technician for longer than I care to mention Comcast has been horrid at accepting blame until they have a complete outtage and then just gives every customer worse customer service than any company I have dealt with. Try and ask them for even a one day discount for their outtage periods and then come back here and complain. Also, the tiers on connectivity via TCP/IP are very possibly the main culprit. Take a basic course at a Community College in Network+ and you will learn how complex issues become as the tier level rises.
TLDR: YOUR game does not work for me, every other game I own works fine. Fix it please.

Also the gateway is nonfunctional at times constantly disconnecting me and making me relog in while playing swordcoast adventures and trying to manage all my professions are also difficult from the gateway with it taking upwards of 3 minutes to change things out at best or recieving a disconnect message and relogging. Streaming HBO works beautifully and I mention that because according to layer 3's site they host HBO's streaming content. This isn't a comcast thing nor an ISP issue, its Neverwinter only and neverwinters supplier of bandwidth is shafting them.
Another handy tool for isolating level 3 communication issues. Safe to say if you are in one of these areas it will take time for them to resolve their connectivity. If you can't play this game and are willing to get super upset, then you need to chill. This happens. Taking it out on a forum moderator helps nobody. The development team are well aware by now and will compensate us. Find a book. Play another video game. Go for a walk. Making someone's job miserable when they literally have their hands tied is borderline sadism.
