Ok I think I concede that cryptic is indeed in boston, and I understand now that my ISP is redirecting me to Denver. What is worth noting is that the Internet is fine up until I reach Crytpics gateway connection. As of right now I am completely unable to connect to anything related to Cryptic Studios with constant time outs on the site, the forums, and the game.

FYI... more are being affected by this. Half of my guild either cant get on at all, or the lag is so bad once they do they are warping all over the place.
Neverwinter gateway has officially stopped responding and I can't even play the adventure game, which before this happened, was already extremely laggy...yeah thats right the dice game was lagging lol. Now the site is down to me 404.
I'm in the Midwest using Comcast as my provider and I can't even get the launcher to fully load. I understand that it's apparently a Level3 issue, but being that this has been happening over a period of several days, why hasn't the issue been resolved?
I work in IT for a large eCommerce company. When we have an issue with an upstream provider, especially one that affects customers accessing our services, it's escalated so fast that any outage is usually resolved in a matter of hours not days. IMO, the issue isn't with Level3, their just an easy scapegoat for whatever the real problem is.
At this rate, I have a feeling something else is going on.. since it's only getting worse and worse.
Right now I've resorted to using the EU proxy in the launcher. At least I can get into the game and play. Not the best ping and still some lag spikes, but hey, at least I can play this game...
I noticed the same issue as of 8/28 during the evening. I am in the Midwest using Comcast as well. I can stream videos fine but I can barely log onto Neverwinter, let alone stay online for any amount of time. The problem has seem to be getting worse. I am not seeing any mention of problems on their Twitter page.
Well, hopefully Cryptic does something about this if it doesn't fix itself. Either that or a large portion of US players are screwed and will just quit the game as it's unplayable atm.
This is pretty disappointing from an IT perspective I guess. I had assumed this company would have HA and site resiliency for it's sole method of revenue...
The hop before the problem is a cryptic server, the end hop is a cryptic server... unless the switch to level 3 for the single server between those points it's not level 3.
The fact that this issue is being completely ignored is grating.
This ISN'T "Level3" and it isn't Comcast...if it WAS, then we'd ALSO be having problems doing anything else on our internet, or playing other company's games. WE'RE NOT. We're ONLY having problems on CRYPTIC'S games and CRYPTIC'S server!!! It is YOUR PROBLEM!
Not true, that isn't how the internet works. When it was at its worst, I had no issues connecting to some MMOs but could not connect at all to others. I had no issues connecting to some sites, but could not connect to others. I suggest to research more on just how the internet functions.
Something happened at 9:00 pm EDT - the traces to patch server boston all cleared up; logged in all was normal and lag was as if it never existed... BUT WILL IT HOLD???

Not ignored, at all. I've responded earlier and even made a sticky about it, just sad some gloss over posts over some strange notion that the Community Team's word has no weight. In any case, the Tech Team has been alerted to the issues but there's been no word back that there are any server issues. When we do hear from them, we'll post about it.

Nope. Ten minutes ago I started getting mega lag-spikes (a minute at a time of SNR), then DC. Tried half a dozen times since to log in again to only get "Disconnected from server" over and over again. Whatever the problem is, it is not resolved.

Here's a thought ... instead of sounding like a broken record by repeating the same thing over and over again, why not just stop and when you actually have something official to report back, let us know. It has nothing to do with your word not having any weight. We've heard what you had to say already and now we request to "speak to a supervisor", so to speak. That's just the way it goes sometimes.

I am sorry you don't like what I have to relay. Please feel free to file a Support Ticket then if you wish to speak to a Game Master, for that is how you go about speaking to someone else not on the Community Team.
The issue is certainly internal to cryptic, i'll just keep saying it regardless of what the Mod states. The internal hop that is timing out for EVERYONE would just be high latency if it were an issue with the level3 pipe, not a complete timeout. Also it would be affecting everyone, not just comcast folk.
Something changed on the Cryptic end with DNS or some connectivity route to the comcast pipe is my guess.
Here's the thing... thousands of people on Comcast obviously can't play the game. Calling Comcast is obviously not going to do anything... Comcast is one of the biggest providers in the US and you lose money by us not getting to play. I would "instead of telling us it's Comcast or another network provider to blame" as a corporation, contact said failing router owner etc... and tell them it's causing you lost revenue. You think any single one of us is going to be heard? Nope.
I wish the sto team would at least give us a response...

As for any updates to the current issues, all I know is that the server issues from the past few days and up to this point have not been entirely Cryptic's fault. From what I can make out on commentary, there's currently issues out of Cryptic's control causing issues on Cryptic's Network that cannot be resolved properly until the aforementioned issues out of their control are resolved. Prior to today, it's been the Level3 issues affecting so much of the World and then on into today it was the remaining Boston area Level3 issues and whatever else is causing issues.
Everything was working before the event started.I'm missing out on doing guild activities and the double ad,I regret buying the feywild pack since I cannot play.I definatly will NOT put anymore money into this game.
hey Zeb, then cryptic should have a huge banner on arc/front page letting people know! I however, just said goodbye to everyone and uninstalled. Not that another paying player matters in the grand scheme of things.. but enough is enough. GL all !
