    well just got my free 300 zen to respec so i am downloading the game again for i moved to tera for the last three weeks , so gonna give it another shot

    I can tell you that this bug only affects SOME characters. On my main account, my TR is perfectly fine. I did not use the free respect right away and had no trouble manipulating boons/feats/powers, either before or after the free respec.

    However, my CW on the same account cannot save additional feats/powers - they won't "stick." And I have not used the free respect yet. Not sure if using that will make a difference. But my CW is the only character that appears to be bugged. Strange.

    Bugged characters:
    • Brought a power up to rank 4 before they were level 70 and/or before they had spent 70 power points
    • Did this before May 23 (the May 23 patch made this impossible to do)
    • Did not have enough power points spent to "legitimize" the rank 4 powers when they hit level 70. If the character had 70 power points + 1 additional power point spent for every rank 4 they had, they un-bugged as soon as they hit 70.

    A full re-spec that resets your Powers will un-bug your character. If you don't have one, open a support ticket on the issue.

    I just wanna say, I had this problem on one of my characters and after only one and a half day, support send me 300 zen to buy a respec token! Everything is fixed now and I am very pleased with the customer support! :)

    1. The description on the 4th rank still reads "65 points spend and level 65".

    A suggestion for future patches in that department, please issue a full respec with any changes!

    2. I used the 1 full free respec from module 6, and 2 full paid respecs on my main character, and i still got stuck.

    3. On level 65, i had 72 points into my powers, i could not use any ability, power, feat or boon point after that patch. And on level 70 i had 7 more points i could not use.

    My character did not just magically unbug itself with reaching level 70.

    4. While i could now use all of my points after another full respec granted from the support, i still don't know what will happen, when i collect another power or feat point...
    I do believe in killing the messenger...

    I put in tickets Day 2 of Mod6 when I immediately noticed multiple characters unable to commit Ability/Power/Feat points.

    I also notice today there is no mention of this bug being fixed in the patch notes.

    Still waiting for devs to fix most of my account...

    Just got an answer from the support, about the 2 (one token, one paid) full respecs i wasted to get my character back into a playable shape... no refund.

    I can only urge anyone with this problem, to wait for a respec from the support, since you won't get any refund, if you try to fix that problem on your own.

    I upgraded three powers to rank 4 when module 6 came out - my GF was at level 60 at that time. I read that reaching level 70 will sort out this bug, so I just patiently leveled my character to 70.
    Now, he is at level 70 and he has 82 spent points (plus 5 waiting), but he still cannot use use those points.
    So, at least in some cases, it is not true that the bug will be solved automatically by reaching level 70.

    I submited a bug report from within the game.

    #1. A Respec fixes what points you currently have, it doesn't fix any earned after the respec. Just wait at this point.
    #2. They have issued server wide respecs after correcting this issue before. I'm sure once they've corrected the code they will again.
    #3. MANY of the new changes are long over due and undeniable improvments since inception.(If you stuck out the other mod relases, this one is the first that really added player suggestions to the content. 10 man GG? awesome. 4 ranks of encounters? awesome. Enchantment changes and lvl raise? awesome. Sneak peak of PVP competition awards? awesome. New class? awesome.)
    #4. They are giving the NW community the much need attention it has lacked on and off. They were modifying live server while running. That's risky practice that normally doesn't happen(I wouldn't have left it live to change anything.) That validates the commitment to try and fix the issues.

    NOW, with that said:
    #1. You guys fixed dungeons before respecs. You KNOW you have the whole community riding your rears on the bigger player issues.
    #2. Sending a few players a respec is a complete waste of the man power resource. You KNOW you'll issue another respec once its corrected. You've done so twice before when points wouldn't commit.
    #3. Thank you for finally taking so much player input. Many of the changes are absolute wins. I won't rehash each one, but dungeon parties have been far more fun having everyone have to play their prospective roles in combat. I can feel it on every class and in every party. Once the other issues are corrected, NW will be far more fun for all players new and old.

    Scott? When will foundry return? You guys addressed my question on twitch a few months ago with Akro about foundry content becoming player created dungeons with actual award chests and true bosses. Ultimately offering us all endless new dungeons to play. The response was that it was in the works and had lots of issues to make it happen without leaving exploit doors wide open. I really hope this wasn't forgotten. With a more sophisticated foundry authoring tool, many tabletop dungeon masters could begin to bring in old printed campaigns; but players want a chance to earn a real reward. The foundry chests yielding garbage loot has been one of the few huge reasons more people do not do or enjoy foundry. The player base will simply out work your design team in dungeon creation if allowed. I hope it's been happening, and hope it's huge.

    This is an awesome post and is a great example of the kind of message we should be getting from Cryptic/PWE.

    As far as the foundry being unchained as you describe....what that would do for this game defies description. Just loads and loads of potential there.

    l have this issue also. Have used my free respec already and I am not going to pay for one.
    Please fix this or say that you can not fix it so I can delete my lvl 70 and redo him.

    Just contact the support via ingame ticket or through the support website. You'll have to add you character details to the ticket, and screenshots of the bugged power/feat/boons page, and then they will issue a full respec.

    Do not buy a respec, since you will not receive any refund for it!

    Hey guys,

    For the Feats and Power Points bug, our developers have stated that only players who have not used their free Respec have this issue. The issue can be resolved by using the free Respec.

    It was only my characters who HAD used their freespec that had the issue. None of the ones I didn't respec had it. So, your developers are dead wrong.

    Luckily for me, I had respec tokens in the bank from the winter event. I saved them specifically for game breaking things that I needed to respec around.

    Well...NO! I used my free respect AND a retraining token and i cant set my Powerpoints.....again! Would be great when this ever get fixed....and a new respect, free or as token would be also nice!

    I also used just the forced respec.
    Still no bugfix after more than two weeks...

    Still no bugfix after more than two weeks...

    I've been putting in tickets every day on ~10 of my broken characters. Since Day2 Mod6. Every. Day. I couldn't participate in the 2x Exp event with any of my main characters, and it looks like the same thing for 2x RP event.

    I'm not even frustrated anymore, I'm dissapointed with the whole development team, including their managers.

    ... did you update your ticket in your account support section? I got a automated response at first, and i had to paractically rewrite the whole ticket again, but then i got my respec.

    People on /zone are telling me I need to submit screenshots... which doesn't make any sense. Certainly the developers can run a simply database query to verify the broken state of the characters, and then another simple database query to update the invalid record. I'm not submitting screenshots as proof when the proof lies within the database records of every bugged account. Plus I don't see a way to submit screenshots when using Request GM Help or Report Bug.

    There is no way I would have ever bought Zen had I known this is how I would be treated as a paying customer.

    Again, I'm severely disappointed with the developers and their managers for putting out such a defective product and refusing to stand behind their shoddy work.

    By the way, don't beat on the OP too much. I had not used my free respec on my CW that was bugged. Once I used it, I had no problems changing and saving the feats, boons, and powers.

    So, it worked for me! :)

    i used zen to purchase two full respecs, that cleared it , after i hit 70.

    these were tokens, not purchased AD btw.

    YEs its <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, which is why ive closed my wallet for awhile, im pretty flustered at the company at this point, they just pile it on sometimes dont they?

    Ok 4 days ago I sent a ticket to support to see what will happen. Answer came 2 days ago and after some talk to them and sent few screen shots from ingame I got 300 ZEN to buy new token and respec. I did respec again with token and everything works nice no problems distributing points to level 4 etc. Also few people from my guild did the same thing and they also recived 300 ZEN after 2 days to buy new respec token. So guys try sending the ticket and see what happens.

    amazing.. still no update.

    why not just pass out a round of free respecs for all? if that fixes it... it's not like you can stack them, you can only have 1...

    Is this a thing now, we need to send in tickets to get money to debug our characters now?

    I used my free respec and i have the respec/feat/boon/power/ability bug. I submitted a bug report and asked the customer service if i could get another respec, since my character is unplayable right now. My report went out to the customer service, almost 5 days ago and still have not received a reply. (checked my e-mail inbox daily, it's still labelled as 'unresolved')

    Furthermore, the bug is not related to the free respec, at all. It is caused by the latest patch regarding rank 4 powers. We used to be able to pick up rank 4 powers pre lvl 70, due to a bug. Now that the said powers have been locked to lvl 70, we who happen to have rank 4 powers are not able to respec our characters with AD (feat/boon respec), anymore. The game gives us an error message and does not let us distribute our feat points/boons/etc., because an AD respec is not enough, in order to get rid of the bugged rank 4 powers. I believe, that only a full respec could fix the issue... and this isn't even a 100% solution for every affected character, since i've read about people still being unable to distribute their feats/boons/etc., due the the '70 points spent' - requirement on the rank 4 powers and not having 70 power points unlocked.

    I don't even mind the 96000 AD that i've lost, i just would like to be able to play my character again.

    That is a different bug. The bug he is talking about is the one where you cannot put a 4th pip into a power at all.
    Your issue is from using it pre level 70. And you have to submit a support ticket, not a bug report. I learned that the hard way.

    When submitting the support ticket, be sure to take a screenshot of your empty feat and boon trays. The GM's will want to see that.

    When you do that, they will send you 300 zen for a respec. BUY the respec, do not spend the zen on anything else, of course. (They're going to tell you that too)

    but what about the feats themselve?
    as i am informed lots of them are bugged themselve not working at rank 4 but annihalting the buff completely?

    Some rank 4s are bugged, yes. Those are separate issues.

    Hello,

    I am having commitment issues...
    LV 64TR .. used my free respect and it was fine until I made a level up from 63 to 64 and now, I cannot commit a paragon feat.
    Sent a GM request help ticket.

    Anything else I aught to do? Don't feel like buying multiple respecs to try and get that one paragon point in there ... especially since I'm not sure that it won't happen again at my next level increase..
