Thanks for the safe wishes, let me second that! Just got back from Christmas dinner at dad's house and came *this* close to hitting a deer on the way home. I've never been so glad that there wasn't oncoming traffic -- I had to slam on the brakes and swerve around (and the car I chose to drive tonight doesn't have ABS). Dumb young deer thought my lane was a good hangout spot, I guess.
