So long as you can do decent damage, and are able to move well, the battle against the beholder is not too bad. I had to do a lot of kiting with the two characters I tried it with, my GF and my DC. Mostly the old use my encounters/ run around until they reset, re-use.

Thanks! That is good news for me as I don't have much game time to gear up my 2nd toon. :o

Uh? Kiting with a GF? The beholder hits for how much?

I found the beholder not that challenging with my DC....in fact, I would not have complained if the fight had been more challenging, but I haven't tried it with my GF yet - and my other characters don't yet qualify....working on that these days.
    Hoping for improvements...

I just thought the entire quest seemed to be just thrown together , i really like the maps it takes place on , being able to revisit the starter area like Dragon bridge and whatnot but the enemies seemed to have been just randomly chosen , the weak Beholder was a real letdown although I understand that it has to be easily killable but it seems strange to fight that in module 3 then you go up against the Beholder in the Dwarf valley Heroic encounter and that swats you for about for 20k to 30k crits lol seems strange .

2 is fine because everyone gets 2 free character slots.

Though I do hope it is not a new trend. I do not won't expansion 4 to say "4 characters needed"

Why are people saying they don't want another character because they don't like any other class than the one they are playing, no one is stopping you from making a character of the same class you already play?
Unless there's a hidden rule somewhere that you need two DIFFERENT classes to unlock that quest, which would be quite a downer for me, as I'm just about to get my second rogue to 10k gs lmao

No one is FORCING you to have more than one character, just like no one is FORCING you to buy things from the Zen store.

Can't believe this thread has 10 pages.

It's funny how lvling a 2nd char is unfair (it takes like 1 week for a casual player) but isn't unfair to run CN like 500 times if you want AD for a VT artifact i.e. Class artifacts are free, only taking your time but other artifacts takes time and a lot of AD. Plus there are many, many artifacts that doesn't require a 2nd character, geez.

While I agree that ignorance is definitely not an excuse, it would have been nice if we had known the requirements for these artifacts before the xp event started. That way people would have had the choice to level a new character or not. It's a bit lame to reveal this after the xp event.

They said when the release date would be for mod 3, and what was required for the artifacts over a month ago

Well when the double xp weekend started we already knew mod 3 was close to comeing out and that a weekend like this has not happened before hand... I only had one char before that was a DC then without even knowing the requirements I decided to take advantage of this weekend and make a GF and now I'm glad I did :)

I don't see why you are complaining about this.... It's a free artifact afterall and it makes things interesting learning two different class play styles. I was getting bored with one char after all so change is nice sometimes :)
