NW Outage (3/21/14) [Resolved!]

Is anyone else having this problem? I got kicked out and now I try to login to the game and sometimes it works but tells me the connection timed out and takes me back to the log in screen, or it definitely won't work and take me back there again.

    A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Friday morning 20 miles from Coalinga, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:17 a.m. PDT at a depth of 5.6 miles.

    According to the USGS, the epicenter was 21 miles from King City, Calif., 29 miles from Greenfield, Calif., 35 miles from Avenal, Calif., and 171 miles from Sacramento.

    Server is back up for me now.
    EDIT: but I have a huuuge lag and rubberbanding.

    I keep getting the red light in server status, so no dice for me. Will keep annoying other human beings in the forums, and yelling at the clouds as any old dwarf must do.

    a 3.4 "earthquake"? is that high in there? in here that's hardly considered a tremor...
    but I guess things are different over there. could that be the cause?

    no, but maybe there is some safety protocol (its a dangerous zone for tremors) that makes server shutdown with certain level of vibrations, in order to prevent worse consecuences, anything less than 4 is almost unperceibable by most people, but who knows...

    any tremor is liable to interfere with communication systems. 3.5 could move enough earth to snap a fiber link with ease and cause electrical surges not to mention microwave links needing to be re-aligned.

    They make so much money. And they can't buy 2 freakin' servers to support the game. :D

    Seems like the servers once againt just went down? What is going on behind the scenes exactly?
    Did a mimic find its way inside and started chewing on some cables?

    Logging in is fine for me, but the rubberbanding is absolutely horrendous. Unplayable.

    What bothers me though is that the Foundry's completely down for me. I can't load my Foundry file or create a new one. It punts me out if I try to load my file and crashes my game if I try to save a new one.

    Not happy. Stupid mother nature causing earthquakes. Stop that. Gamers and creators need to play. :p

    Edit: East coast here. Bandwidth's probably so clogged that it can't get out of central-west.

    Europe has connection issues as well...
    Earthquake trouble?? Consider moving the server location to the Netherlands =)

    Managed to login, then got logged out.
    rinse repeat.
    definitely something wrong with server

    Then all we would have to worry about is flooding when the ice caps melt due to Global Warming...
