... This is an amazing quest. I love how you managed to find ways to reward the player for exploring/platforming, I love the story, I love how the combat encounters are spaced.
Just two notes:
- The first objective just reads "The Crystal Valley." Perhaps it should be "Travel to the Crystal Valley"?
- Ossian the Bard's dialogue should lead back to the initial menu of choices for convenience.

Thank you so much for playing orodalf. I was thinking the same thing about the map, but forgot about it, hah! Thanks for the advice for Ossian. I think I will do that.
Wow! That is one epic quest. Great use of characters and environments, really cool story, lots of options. Just really well done all the way around. It's very clear that you put a tremendous amount of work into this.
One minor complaint is the length, but part of that was me taking a while to find a couple of objectives. I also demand that you give me better loot next time!!
That was a joke.
Excellent ending, fitting for the story and a nice bridge to Part 2. Hope you find an audience with this one, it's obviously not for everybody but there are definitely going to be a bunch of players who will love it. Highly original.

:)Thanks so much oortexplorer!!! Yes, I am thinking of ways to make that Altar quest a little better! I am thinking of taking out the multiple ways to get the ingredients, so i can put everything in the objectives.

Good lord. I have no idea how long I wandered around in your world, probably something close to two hours. There is just so much to see and do..
Stunning work. 5/5 stars, max tip.
Those who complain to you they're getting lost... ah... well, I got lost too and stumbled into more to explore. I wasn't bored for a moment.
I would not, however, recommend it to a level 60 character. The battles are very well placed, yes, but some of them would be impossible for my poor Cleric.

Hey, thanks for playing saerrael! I think my map just got done publishing with the 1.04 fixes. Were the cats in your version?

Nope, I picked it up while you were working on it, I think *grins*
I had no problem building the altar, though. Maybe all the JRPGs I used to play are paying off? xD
This was a really nice quest! I felt the environments were done nicely, could use some dressing up here and there but mostly nit picky things and the story and questline well thought out! Great job for a first quest imo!!

Must have been T's Rune? ^_^ Haha which JRPGs did you play? ---Edit: Just played through and realized one of the cats won't appear unless you explore the map a little to the north. Hmmmmmmm.

Finally managed to play yours just now, sorry I haven't been able to before now real life just keeps getting in the way... Anyway extremely glad I did, as I loved it. It was the most fun I've had playing in Neverwinter so far. The characters where brilliant (I loved Zaelius in particular, but I really look forward to learning more about them all in the coming quests!), the story and the lore was good, the exploring was really good too, I'm really proud of myself for having found all the Runes. I also loved building that alter, really gave me some good ideas as to how to make thing more interactive and visual. Overall it was just brilliant, particularly as I know how hard it is to make something in the Foundry, it's really inspiring.
This does however leave me with a problem, for how could I ever make a quest that would even compare to yours...?
Seriously though, my map making skills are just not that good... *sigh*

My goodness! ! : ) Thank you , owlhat ! I honestly felt like "decorating" a map was all I had to bring to the Foundry table. I'm so happy you enjoyed the characters and story! ! ! Maybe we could work together sometime !
I think he may be my favorite so far! I am expanding the cast of romanceable character of course. Though I could use some ideas. I was even thinking of holding some kind of contest for designing a new NPC. ^^" I was thinking of bringing some more "evil" into the group through a dhampir or vampire or something. Uhhh!! Did I just spoil my own story?!
Yay, all the runes! Secret little scene for you! hehe :-) People sure seem to have trouble finding the last one. Even with Chipotle's help. :-) :-) !!!
I must admit to being slightly confused at first but I got it in the end, thank Chipotle for me.
I would definitely consider working with someone as talented, and full of ideas as you. In truth my really interest in the Foundry is the story, dialogue, and characters I can create and share with people, I must admit to finding making the maps slightly tedious (probably why I am so bad at them, I have no patience for it!). When I finally get around to publishing my first adventure, and if you like my style, then maybe we can look into some sort of partnership.

Completely blown away. That was amazing. You've created a visually beautiful and detailed world with rich characters and an interesting story. I could have spent all day there. The battles and puzzles were really fun to play. Thanks for creating this. I plan to play again soon.
If you have time please take a peek at mine. I've heard concerns that it's too difficult for high levels (so far one level 60 has mentioned that). It would be nice to get confirmation of that so I can tweak. After playing through your quest I feel as though I need to work on my dialog. Thanks again.
Duo'd 56 TR and 52 CW. No problem with the combat.
Explored a lot, and found all 4 runes. We ended up doing some things out of order, so we didn't get to use the runes too much. Used them to construct the altar, and read all the notes.
The settings were terrific - and immense amount of work to make those I'm sure. Enjoyed the jumping puzzles and such.
Didn't notice a single typo or misnamed object - that's unusual with some much dialogue.
I did think using the explosion effect for when we applied bandages was a bit weird; but the foundry doesn't give us much to work with for some things.
Enjoyed the character development - but overall it was a bit overwhelming. So much lore. I felt it was a bit long for my personal taste (took over 90 minutes for us). But we did have fun! Great job.

Thanks mosby1 and mosby-friend! You didn't have to review mine! hehe :-) I'm interested to see yours. I'll be up for awhile, so I'll be doing that before I sleep. Just Foundrying some Episode 2 atm. I agree, the explosive bandages are weird! ! Something I haven't gotten around to changing. Was thinking... "Encourage Dragoons!" or just changing the bandage graphic. I want to use some green light FX, but it was one of those ghost FX that didn't want to show. I'd really love to make those Dragoons disappear after bandaging, but ughhhh 50 NPC limit. ^^ And I'm planning to re-do some of the lore dialogue after the last boss there. That dialogue hasn't really changed since the first time I wrote it, and I'd like to go back to it and clear it up sometime. I'm glad you had fun! I've duo'd it with a friend before, and he said that a lot of the interactables were not appearing for him. But we think it was because he had all of his settings turned down, haha. ;-D So he didn't see light FX-interactables (Runes of Fate mostly). As for the length of the quest- I guess I was a little too ambitious for my first Foundry! I'm planning on wayyy shorter quests in the future. Haha! Thank you for playing.
I was going to run your quest again today after all the changes you've put up here (Bag of Cat Holding!), but then this huge patch is taking forever to download. GAH.
Just dropping by here to let you know that Zaelius can chalk up another squealing fangirl to his bedpost, because I am so there. It's been a long time since an NPC actually made me giggle like an idiot. (What does lethrandir mean?) This was exactly what I was looking for in a major way! Unfortunately, I played it on the day Cryptic had to do emergency maintenance on those enchantment exploits. I was in the middle of looking for the secret notes, and then the screen started counting down on me! I count myself lucky I got to Gartastok in the last five minutes, and the system restored it after the servers came back on.
I'm going to give it another run as soon as possible, since I didn't get all the runes and secret things.
Anyway, I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but this quest was the most epic thing ever. I love all the work you did on the environments! Breathtaking! Mostly all I've been doing is decorating these little rooms, but you've inspired me to make a truly big map next time.
I can't say enough good things about the NPCs either. What really just gets me is your attention to detail, especially with the little yellow influence markers like "Aiden doesn't like being called a thief" and such. I think it really adds a lot to the experience, showing the player that the NPCs are actual people with opinions. And I would have gotten really nervous about it too, if I didn't know that Neverwinter doesn't support +/- influence at this time. (Though I wish it did!)
The pacing was great too. You kept me really interested in the plot, and the way things unfolded. I was so upset about the server maintenance because you had me so eager to find out how the story ended. That's the mark of the best storytellers, if you ask me.
For the life of me, I don't have any constructive comments right now, so I'll come back some other time, maybe after my 2nd playthrough. In the meantime, can't wait for the next installment!
The reactions to my dialogue choices had me half thinking the actions of some NPCs might be affected by them. I mean, I was sure the Foundry wouldn't allow the level of depth required to do that, but it still gave me pause for thought and made me consider my choices more carefully.
Really looking forward to the next one!

Oh my! I'm actually surprised people are liking Zaelius so much! He is kind of quirky! I've run into an Aiden fan, a Neiyu fan, then 234092834 Zaelius fans. Poor grumpy Mharuut. Thanks so much mirimero!!! I'm like way blushing right now from the praise!!! :-) If only the +/- influence system was supported! Hehehe! I'm planning for choices to have more of an impact in Episode 2. And holy kittens, Manila! I am from Olongapo, but lived in the U.S most of my life, hehe. And I haven't decided on what "lethrandis" means yet exactly. ^_^ Maybe it should be "my betrothed"?
