Artifact weapons for TR

sept 9 = artifact weapon talon of golden dragon
sept 10 = artifact weapon golden dragons claw
sept 11 = artifact weapon horn of golden dragon

I tried different ecounter / at will setups for each box...

sept 9th I did not have cloud of steel on my bar and I got could of steel artifact..
sept 10th I did not have sly flourish on my bar and I got its artifact
sept 11 I tested again by removing dulist flurry from bar .. and I got dulist flurry artifact...

    Only luck, or no luck.
    My first 2 Artifact weapons were the sly flourish weapons, I had this not in my bar
    Third weapon was the dulist flurry weapon, I had dulist flurry on my bar...

    I had Crushing Surge as my primary at-will and got the Honor of the Golden Dragon, for Crushing Surge.

    This is RNG based only. I had opened 5 boxes already and none of them had SOC Talon of the golden dragon...

    People are good at looking for patterns that aren't there. With a large sample size something like this is likely to happen to at least someone.

    Regarding the TR artifact weapon, is the Talon turning out to be the most useful?

    While I was opening the box for my HR I quickly slugged down 5 rapid shots of whiskey.

    Didn't work though. Trying again tonight, but with vodka.
    No idea what my toon is now.

    Then you can work your way through rum, tequila, gin....

    Seems like it could work. I have many characters and even more types of alcohol. Something will surely correlate eventually. :P

    (and yeah, I was lucky - got the weapon for my favourite at-will on the first try - the at-will that never leaves my bar).
    Hoping for improvements...

    Or at least you won't care about or even notice which weapon you get.

    (HR) Yeah, rapid shot is always on my bar. So far I have 1 split shot and 3 aimed shot weapons. I'll probably save one of each to prepare for future nerfs, but what is the most efficient use of the two extra aimed shot weapons.

    From what I've read on the forums, just drop the unwanted artifact weapons into the one you want to use - without putting any refinement points into it. Unlike artifacts, you will lose refinement-point value if you refine the weapon first.

    Hey, if making a sacrifice of a pvp virgin helps my chances even 0.000000000001% to get the artifact weapon I want, then someone is gonna die while I perform a satanic ritual to tiamat up in here. :)

    Talon is amazing!

    I think it will benefit whisperknives and ranged based master infiltrators the most...
    Other than talon, I still love my black ice weapons more 80% for 80% of all pvp and 100% of all pve

    i have epic version of the df arti weapon
    its nothing special barely nothiced increase from ancient weapons

    I think not.

    Ranged builds are usually out of necessity, which implies weakness in defenses -- therefore, most likely a perma, a semi-perma, or any kind of variation of the two. That in turn, implies non-BI/Draconic level gear, since the stealth boost is required.

    That makes you fall behind the item/gear curve sharply, and I doubt the marginal increase in CoS alone is powerful enough to overcome the general weaknesses (...and dilemma as well) most TRs face.


    ...otoh, it'd be a truly hilariously powerful weapon to use in normal PuG-grade matches, tho.

    I used to be a fan of weapon sets, now I am a fan of artifact weapons. My opinion is that Talon of the Golden Dragon is the most effective in PvP due to the fact that it's the only one with an added effect other than bonus damage: the slowing. I don't play a perma rogue and I find Cloud of Steel extremely effective in PvP & PvE for "reaching out and touching something" instantly. Artifact weapons in general are on par with sets because of the extra weapon slot, allowing for more freedom in choosing where your valuable high-gear points go.

    This makes me glad i got my Rapid Shot bow from my first artifact box. :D
    Btw, I also had Rapid Shot slotted.
