Look I'll note this once: due to the very high exploits done originally to STO's Foundry even before they looked into external game resources allowing, they are not allowing outside custom content in the game and don't plan on building external third party offerings to the game.

Now as to not allowing sound or video, who said they won't have sound or video or dialog if you trigger a spot or condition? If will just be from content they create that you will drop from a selected list like all other resources. As for the MMOSITE article, it would have been nice if they mentioned the STO Foundry (as it seems those "exclusive" releases promised for NWO have already been released First for them.)

What about creating in game voice recorder? "Speech balloons" like in comics. This two things would be enough for me however i still think that custom stuf could make foundry very very good and exploits are only one side of gold coin.

There will be always exploits, but also there will be always people that can surprise us and I put my faith in that side of coin.

Whatever cryptic do I'll do my stuf with tools they give, but It's always good to look for improvement.

I fully expect cryptic to expand this is some fashion...only not at launch.

I don't know if its been said because i'm not gonna read through 31 pages sorry xD But has it been how you access foundry quests/dungeons and whatnot? It was said that you could be gaming side by side someone who's doing a foundry quest so does that mean they're picked up from npcs? Or is there some other way?
Looking for a friendly english speaking EU Guild.

They can be picked up from certain NPC's, I think they said like barmaids or Harper Agents. I also believe it was mentioned that they could be started via an mission screen like in STO (there you press J and it brings up possible missions both developer made and player made).

You can go to the in game Launch Page or Home page to check out the authors and quests, check all quests in the in-game "job board" and pick any quest, go to a "barmaid or harper allied agent" and get it regionally.

Is there any ranking system for quest? I think ranking with vote options like youtube have would be great.

I believe that they have stated this is the foundry videos in this thread, players can donate in game currency to the builder and also promote the quest via a score system.

Rankings are done both to approve games not havig any violations by advisory members who volunteer as well as public voting from 1-5 stars and secondary tipping, just like STO's Foundry.

Does anyone have any info on when us mere mortals will get access to the Foundry? Are we likely to get any access to it during closed beta?

DMing has always been my thing and I generally play D&D as a fallback... So I'm quite interested in trying the Foundry for myself.

Cryptic has been extremely vague about when we will have access to ANYTHING. Back in April they said "definitely beta by the end of 2012" but in August they said "open beta in late 2012 or early 2013." They have said absolutely nothing about what closed beta/open beta testers will have access to as far as content and features.
The last thing any of us heard from Cryptic was the Paris event, which, nearly as I could tell, did not provide any new information.

Well, watch the video again, at least the ending part where he's speaking about the potential upcoming Beta release schedule. Ironicly they show a possibly older Pre-Alpha Foundry (they still are in Alpha right) and newer content with Blackdagger. So I have some hope for early 2013 Beta and announcements soon.

At :58 seconds in he (who is he?) says beta will be beginning next year.
How hard would it have been for a Cryptic employee to show up here and just SAY that instead of leaving us all watching videos trying to scrounge info out of them?

heh did anyone feel disappointment from fact that we discovered game world map on some chinese web page?

Come to think of it it would be nice if cryptic would do something like "pic of the week" where once every week they would show us somthing from the game. I think it's not much and it wouldn't hurt the developer.

Multiple times I have to reply to this on another forum thread, and I have to reply to people due to them not paying attention elsewhere on the forums.

It is NOT a world map but a Background selection, and was shown before right here on these forums late August 2012 as ryvvik has so astutely noted. Of course this has nothing to DO about the Foundry it was posted in.

While you can talk about something related to Foundry, and even off the mark here, complaining that isn't even related to the topic and wholy inaccurate (which if people went to the threads they were originally about they'd have their answers,) does not benefit those who are looking to get news about the Foundry here. People ask why some mods make an issue about off topic? Respecfully, this is the example why.

if you want to go off Cryptic's site and pick over something released before NWO's site, how about here? See these nice new shiny Foundry updates? Guess where you'll likely see them besides STO once this game hits beta? Take out the named STO content ships and NPC's, and yes, it's in our Foundry of course! Ask why reporters aren't saying how the innovation working on Neverwinter's Foudry made those features in Star Trek Online Possible?

If somebody has a non-Foundry gripe here, post it in that Anxiety thread. We've yet have to move a single Neverwinter thread from that for being "off topic." You have independent from there suggestions about posting pics or release schedules? Fine. Make it its own thread.

That's it. Nobody's in trouble, (I hate being the heavy anyway,) but a polite warning why we ask people to stay on topic.

Or come prepared with factual information showing how it's relevant.

This website is long overdue for an overhaul with factual and up to date information. It's resulting in a spread of misinformation and negativity.

Yup, and thats a problem coz some people might go to the game with more expectation than the game real have. Look at the example of this map, it seems is the world map but its just the zone u come from for ur character background..... The map will be probably small so some people might be a bit dissapointed:/
