Like the above said, GWF is only tanky because of Negation+Fey+Temp HP from Unstoppable. Without those, GWF will be LOL in pvp
Now, about GWF deals high damage... pretty sure you all realize GWF can only deal high damage after they go unstoppable, and gain stacks... now how good is GWF when SE can one shot a BiS 163K HP GWF, or GF 1 rotate you before you have the chance to gain any stack... GWF remains a LOL...
GWF's are not tanky. They rely on negation + feytouched + 20% life steal + 3.7k IL to do well in PVP.
You are exactly right And those things are only good if ppl consistently hit you to build up the stacks... for those one shots from SE or One Rotate (2 hits) from GFs, these things are non-exist (since we dont get to build up stacks from hits)
"make the shield block not immune to damage".Allready happens since mod3.Block reduces only 80% of damage.
"GFs should not be able to perma block".None GF can permablock with out using spesific encounters.If he uses ,then he cannot do damage.
"Buff GFs at wills".As kweassa said the moment GF hits with att wills is rooted.GFs att wills are useless against non disabled opponent.
"Buff their tankiness".Then you would complain again.Gfs are to tanky..... etc...

The solution is: Rework Shield Wrath. Reduce ITF buff but only for pvp.

As a side note ,if GFs would be nerfed are because the class in underpresented in high pvp guilds,and to NW population in general,comparing to GWFs/CWs. That's why all the nerf threads.
Some of the arguments used against GFs are laughable.
You talk about roles and stereotypes in an action MMO,roles that the game be default despises.If not,it would have put a hard cap to other classes to aquire defense and hp.So it is perfectly fine if someone builds a toon Tr with 45% deflect,30% DR and 110k hp,but if a GF speccs offensively then it is a crime.The "Striker" GWf runs with 30-35% Dr plus extra 30% while on unstoppable..and unstoppable is spamable. CW is fine to have base DR higher than a defender (10-12% plus 25% broken shield).GWFs...well...what to say now....no comment.
Another said a tree should never have tankiness and damage.What about Destroyer GWF?Extra 30% DR while on unstoppable?Plus temp HPs?And mega damage?And spammable?You got mega buffs in mod6,basically two former capstones in one.And yet you complain about GFs.Some talk about buffs.Isn't the self GWf buffs better than the GF? 40% extra damage by using an encounter that lasts 8 sec with an 8 sec ICD and three charges? lol.yea it demands skill.....
I hope GF community to stay strong and continue to play our class even after the cheesy forumers nerf it.

you forgot also to mention righteous cleric compare it to guardian fighter conqueror i see righteous more dangerous. CLERIC rigtheous : will have always stamina when he need and can go more and more and more ( gas spore- elven battle stamina gain artifacts). RAnge class can move where he wants while a gf need to cast into the fray to move fast. WHILE gf need to raise his shield and face the opponents to avoid the cc and attacks ( block 80% of the damage) a righteous cleric will just dodge. - gf will buff into the fray evne if it increase his speeed and the casting range he need to come pretty close to apply the finisher anvil. will apply also the mark lowering the damage resistance. WITH the risk always someone behind him will push him or something. - CLERIC will;brand of the sun dot + break the spirit stuns + break the spirit buff + break the spirit debuff + divine glow buff mitigation + divine glow debuff mitigation + it heals + it does damage + wil throw a shield to increase damage resistance and if wizard attempt repel will dodge and will go back again in the shield. + THE feat debuffs will proc condemning gaze enemy gets 15% damage from all sources, bear your sins on any dot it proc and then another 10% damage from all sources and the extra dots on critical strike from the fire of the gods. - hallowed ground 20% damage 20% dr. hammer of fate power prone and damage. flame strike cc . I forgot something? ah yes i forgot brand of the sun has paragon feat power of the sun -5% critical rate -5% damage on enemies until the ATT WILL DOT GO AWAY. ALL those coming from range class -most dodges class and its ability score strength has the stamina generation together with the critical chance. READ this and tell then about gf crying with the fact you have to encounter THE SAME OBVIOUS ROTATION : into the fray , bull charge-anvil of doom.

It´s a worthless discussion, right, since it´s obvious what is happening in PVP and the soulution is pretty easy and not much to say against, only some nubs go on defending an overpowered or overbuffed class But since we got a company without any response or reaction to c.rappy stuff, no they bring out the next BS, it´s ...worthless. btw. not much activity left in the forum last weeks, everyone preparing for the next promising "mmo" starting in a few days i guess, since this game is a waste of time
It's a worthless discussion in my opinion. This discussion focuses on GF only while there are tons of broken class/items mechanics. Some of them: - Perma stun - Perma stealth - Perma drain of whatever you like - Perma heals - Perma bubbles - Perma AP - Perma HP - paywalls - and many well known broken mechanics never fixed.
The GF, as other classes, can outdps with a specialized setup and the interaction with other classses. We could talk for hours about the interaction between AP DC and OP bubble as well: even at 2.0k they can be immortal.
So I'm with @schietindebux: this game, and pvp in particular, is a waste of time. I only enjoy it because I play with some friends of mine to spend 2 hours in the evening together.

GF damage nerf has to hit before they have access to the shadowclad enchant, GFs are gonna remove deflect stats then equip that new shyyt and then booommm: if not blocking 80% of your damage then 80% chance to deflecting you.
I met the biggest defender (or call him troll) of GF classes in the actual state...what else to say he was the worst GF I ever met in DOM, having near 3.5 k GS and was beaten easily 1vs1...so yes the ones who come here and claim that GF is a weak class, have to be considered as 100% noobs or scrubs, sorry
