Blahh! Vincent1 and some others are just whiners, angry that they dont have the ressources needed to be successful.
Are these marks stupid? Yes. So are immortal paladin, trolling TRs, dazing HRs, two shotting TANKs, ultra self healing GWF… should I continue?
The truth is, if all mentioned big pvp guild would disapear all of a sudden, you would STILL complain, basically about everybody who has better gear and more ressources.
I actually looking forward to stomp you in pvp. Thats what trolls deserve :-D

who is troll? you are in game troll. its far worse be troll in game.
i gave you one suggestion, if you are so premade minded at pvp, you better find game that focus on premades at pvp and properly reward them, instead of silly focused on your phantastic leaderboard kill/death ratios your folks doing, couse there is nothing else here
it can be disappoiting for you, but when i consider my characters specs and gear i feel to be successfull in the game
stomp me? if it can make your pvp play more interesting feel free to do
maybe i can send you my character names by PM so you can find me easily among pugs ....

After a few days of this brilliant SH pvp I got only 3 types of experience - - I'm meeting morons who are using glyphs - I'm meeting 5 OP + 5 DC premades (immortals) - Lag is so huge, that I cant move.

DC is still managable with some controllers, but OP makes it impossible with the immunity shield... oh well, it doesn't look like Cryptic nor majority of the OP players is seeing the problem anyway... my guildie's beasty 190K HP BiS OP was taking about 10 players all by himself in SH... and if there is another OP or DC, they can probably survive for hours...

I've actually seen a coordinated bunch of GWFs and GFs just waiting for an 'opening'... and when one fighter successfully prones the OP... prone hell... especially when GFs with their mega-damage is involved.
But yes, such a thing rarely happens.
Stop making excuses. Be a man. If you know something to be broken, stop using it. Otherwise, you've got no right to be speaking of 'balance.'
I love reading through the complaints. You all seem to blame each other and not the true issue here which it the developers creating a bad mechanical game with bugs. With that said. If you want to have true pvp go have a 1 on 1 and clearly state the rules before you begin on what can be used and what is not aloud. You will never fix the issues with pvp in this game period. It doesn't generate revenue.

we all know that devs are to blame most, but devs dont strike back

With your line of thinking, then if something is coded by the developers incorrectly thereby leaving a bug, then it's ok to exploit it? Developers can make mistakes, but then it's the people who run with it for their personal gain that really show their true colors.
Wasn't using the overloads until one match I run into them - won't get killed by some nubs who think they have skill because of drain overloads - giving them back their own medicine, they will certainly not unequip them as jaotut mentioned - so you have to adapt. Either use them yourself or use the counter wards, if you can't yet ... not really my problem.
Srly? An "he started first mimimi" excuse from a pro pvp player for using this HAMSTER? Im surprised and amused at the same time

if someone spot Irwen or Irwen Shieldening with draining (not preservation) wards in the future, he can PM me and i will send him stack of green resonance stones. gaming pride is not death on my end
Other than that...i have the preservation wards ready. Don't see the problem in using the ones that actually protect you.
On a side note...the protective wards are quite underpowered considering you give up another overload enchant for them. They should fully nullify the effect of the AP-stamina drain, not just "reduce it".
For example, the stamina one drains 10% of your stamina when you get hit, and the defensive one reduces that amount by 10%...does it mean you still get drained of your stamina or does that mean you cancel the 10% drain of the enemy's mark?
The AP drain tooltip is more clear. rank 1 drain vs rank 1 ward, you cancel it. rank 2 drain vs rank 1 ward you only lose 50% of your AP instead of 100%. Which makes sense.
BTW, i think that for players who don't want to use the drain items, is pretty much a forced choice to go for the preservation "counter" overloads.
Many OP are PvE, and the PvP ones well...why should they give up immortality? It's a convenient "gift". The fix should come from the developers but may be the problem is to fix it in PvP while not breaking the class for PvE... I think they made OP this way to face the new PvE changes coming with module 6, but it resulted, once geared up, in immortal paladins.
Now think about this: if you can make a guild premade with 6 geared OPs in SH PvP you can basically cap all deposits and then just leave 1 OP in each deposit to backcap it and prevent the enemy from taking it back (deposits don't take damage until you kill all the enemies defending it, if i got it right). While the other 14 team mates are free to then go build catapults.
So you can basically cap the deposits once and then "seal" them with 1 OP each.
If a 2,8k GS Paladin can run eToS without any healer, using this silly daily making everybody immortal (how scilless), and noone dies the hole run , it has to be considered as "broken as hell", also in PVE This " permadaily" build is obviously easy to obtain and cryptic doesn't seem to pay any attention to this "no-brainer playstyle"
By your definitions "drainings marks" are also not broken. Maybe not in terms of intended coded mechanic, but still game breaking in the sense of balance… like the bunny hopping TRs and Tenes were.
It seems like only a month ago people were complaining that Snails and Sigil of the Devoted were creating broken AP builds that were spamming dailies too much. Now the problem is that there are drains for THAT problem.
Personally , I think the daily spamming AND the drain enchants are both problems created by the Devs. I'm not sure I shouldn't use the drains to save me from endless crescendos (I often get crescendoed 2 times in a 10-15 second battle), SEs, etc.
If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me. I am neither BIS nor a major expert. My guild isn't big enough to get the wards yet (which I'd opt for), but IS big enough to get the drains....

I will tell you one thing. Yeasterday, random que, we faced BTG (almost premade), and after that EOA (duo) with very experienced players (I know them all - respect). Both times they were not use drain glyphs ! Both times in my party was at least one drainer (no matter what guild, I dont want to attack any1 this time). And we won 2 times despite fact, we should lose.
If you decide to not use those glyphs, then a match against drainers is obviously lost. Even, if they are much weaker.

My error, not big enough to get either yet, so we are fodder either way! :-)
So, in light of the fact that in any premades you meet you wear the wards, what use are the drains, except to troll those who dont have the wards? The arguments for the drains are disingenous at best.
As long as we can use every broken companion in pvp, as long as a decent build OP never really dies to any other class and a very decent BiS dmg OP can kill everyone and still be almost immortal, as long as we have bugs like thorned roots with elven, as long as we have perma daily TRs, as long as we have AP bugging immortal DCs… as long as we have all these issues, it would be hypocritic not to use the drains or wards.
They are stupid, yes. Stupid as SO MANY other things in this game.
As a matter of fact: even the pseudo-competetive PvP we used to had in NW is right now DEAD.
Just pointing out that the drains are effective and being used only against those that dont have access to wards or drains. If its an equal youd be using the wards. Thats all. Not berating just pointing out the dishonesty. Plus, with the Lionsmane gear, do you really need to have those drains slotted? Because again, if youre going against other premades you slot wards. So what people are doing is looking for an advantage over pugs when they solo or duo even. Thinking that they shouldnt lose, and they have access to drains, so theyre gonna use them. Specious argument to say the least.
Never mind the sadistic groups with full drains 5 man queuing and acting like they were looking for another pre.

its not about morale code in MMO. Its about personal morale and ethic code. In this mess of pvp you sometimes loose, sometimes win, we all experienced know that. So if you loose if someone use drain? just another loose as others only slightly different circumstances. But real winner is you. If you have no premade team to respond them to loss what the big problem to not use them? we dont even have winning quest anymore.....
This is fine if you admit that you have no qualms about using them to kill others that dont have them and think its ok to do so. My problem is with those arguing that they somehow "have" to use them because of other bugs in game and this gives them the opportunity to finally kill that OP they could never kill, etc..
