While that may be true, I don't actually see it actually being a "problem". Smash alerts take less time than others, but they still have a daily. Let's say it takes someone 5 minutes to complete an open mission in each zone; we're talking at least 30 minutes to do the hypothetical "mega". So assuming the rewards numbers…
I mentioned this in another thread but it's along the same lines as what I'm hoping for here so: A 'mega daily' where Defender gives an assignment to complete an open mission in every world/zone. This would be awesome (IMO) because it gives you a choice of what open mission you want to do(meaning you don't have to do the…
Yeah. My dream would be have one of the NPCs in each region give you a "daily" OM to go complete in that region... and it actually be worth it. Or hell, have Defender give a 'mega daily' to go complete an OM in every zone! That would be cool :)
Considering what you said in your second paragraph, I don't think we're disagreeing at all. Yes, high end content for high end players is good. No, this particular idea isn't about that. So it sounds like we agree :)
Since someone necro'd this I guess I'll answer the question: every in game world/zone should have some worthwhile solo-able daily, IMO. And to repeat a point I made in a different thread: give people a CHOICE of rewards. If you only offer one type of reward, then if someone is not interested in that specific reward then…
Yes. While teaming is great and should be necessary sometimes, we need some daily heroic stuff to do on our own. And while I know you can replay the story packs and recent serial missions, those are the same every time you do them. At least the Nem missions and Overwatch have some feel of randomness to them, and get you…
Sometimes rewards are based more on the amount of time it takes to do something than the actual difficulty of doing it. Some of the dailies we're doing right now involve no combat at all (fireworks, for example) but take 5-10 minutes to complete. On the other hand the Red Winter alert does involve combat, but only takes…
I do understand that in a game with a smaller playerbase it's important content to group people up. That said, I do miss the feeling of doing things solo, and feel like the 2 types of content mentioned in this thread would give me exactly the solo experience I'm after...if the rewards were remotely worth it.
Glad to know I'm not the only one wanting these things. I admit I know nothing about game development, but it would seem to me like these minor improvements would be "easy wins" because they would take little actual work (compared to creating brand new stuff anyway) but greatly improve the 'value' of the existing content…
The OP has a completely valid reaction. The removal of the subscription and the resulting "locking" of all FF characters was a very major and controversial change, and not something that should be dismissively hand-waived away when people are understandably upset by it. Yes to people currently playing this is a dead horse…
An easy way to tell if you are shadowbanned is after you post view the thread in an incognito window. If your post shows up, you're good. If it doesn't, well there you go.
I absolutely get all of that. And you aren't "wrong". But you are completely missing the point. Yes, it is true that $100 (the price of "unlocking" 10 FF characters at $20 each) is less than $180 (the price of paying $15 per month for 12 months). No one is denying that math. But the part you are so completely missing is…
I completely understand the math, and you aren't "wrong". However you are completely missing the "human" element of this situation. Yes it is true that $100 (the price of unlocking 5 FF characters at $20 each) is less than $180 (the cost of paying $15 per month for 1 year). No one denies those figures. But the point you…

Nope. What I would be surprised at is seeing that instead of the $15 it previously cost to play all of those characters I had to pay $20 EACH (key word) to be able to play them now. That's the part that the OP was shocked about, so why ignore that KEY point in your question?
I gotta say, I am pretty surprised and disappointed by some of the jerk responses the OP is getting. I have a LTS, so this issue doesn't effect me at all. But even so, I can understand how much it would suck to come back to the game and see that all of my characters are locked behind a $20 each price tag. I get it, and it…
You actually make an interesting point. IMO, a superhero game needs to have zones that represent the genre. There should be bright, "hopeful" places like Metropolis, and Dark gritty places like Gotham. And everything in between. But the issue I have with these events is when they are active, there are no bright/hopeful…
Honestly, I find them both...unpleasant...over a prolonged period of time. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy the events, I just wish that it wasn't a *constant* visual once it started. That said, taste is subjective, and I'm sure there are others who enjoy it. So my request is *not* to remove anything, but just to keep one…
I don't see a problem with that. The game itself may not be sending you there, but if someone wants to explore the world and get curbstomped by high level NPCs, I say go for it. Too many games these day take away all of your freedom to actually explore the world.
Yeah, my meaning is very simple: it is no longer being developed. Did you not understand what I meant? To answer your question: yes, of course. I would love to see..new stuff added to it. New missions. Thanks for your feedback!
A fair statement. However, and this is key: "playerbase reaction" is not the same thing as "forum reaction" Typically, less than 10% of the playerbase post on the forums. So "playerbase reaction" will be judged by internal numbers(people playing the new content, and then replaying it again), not forum reaction.
Fair enough. Personally, I would be happy with some type of "daily" that requires you to complete any open mission in every world zone(MC, Desert, Canada, Monster Island) and rewards Q. It would be a lot of fun going to each zone in between Alerts, IMO.
Sorry, my fault for not really explaining what I mean. I mean missions that you can play yourself; without requiring some huge group to get together. That would be great!
Honestly, I don't think the "general public" is even AWARE of this game. It's nearing a decade old, and Cryptic/PW don't advertise. So if, hypothetically speaking, this game launched on console next week, you would have a ton of console gamers probably seeing it for the first time.
First, there is no reason to apologize. This isn't up to you, and no one is asking your permission, so you have nothing to be sorry for. That said, your logic is well and good, but guess what? There were always plenty of logical reasons why STO would never go to console either. But apparently, all of those logical reasons…
The reason I care(for STO) isn't because I actually want to play it on console, but because it means there are going to be lots of new players spending lots of new money that will fuel the development of new content for me to play. So I don't care about the consoles, but I do care about the game getting bigger. I feel the…
And here is an outside the tailor pic showing what I am talking about: As you can see, there is none of the typical leather shine inside the emblem space. It is all the flat cloth texture, even though it it set to leather. This seems to be the case with every emblem I have checked. So once again, if someone is able to…
Yeah I looked at different angles but am not seeing anything. And FYI, I have this emblem set on a leather textured shirt, so they should both be showing a leather texture under the same lighting conditions. That said, can you actually see the leather texture on the chest emblems, or is your above post just a general…
What about the people who did like the fight with Therakiel? What about the people who do like fighting in the giant destroyer? You seem to be under the delusion that if something isn't done the way you personally prefer, that it must be wrong, but that just isn't the case. PS: you don't have to fight in the giant…
The problem is, you are now directly contradicting what you said earlier: So in the OP you pretend like there are no epic villains, just "cesar romero in a bad green wig", but then you later acknowledge you HAVE fought the epic villains in the game. Just last night I played through the "Resistance" storyline again, and…
Yeah so, here is the thing: personal attacks are wrong/against the forum rules. That includes BOTH the OP attacking someone as a parent, AND the people responding by attacking the OP for his comments. Responding to someone else who is breaking the rules by breaking the rules yourself makes you just as guilty as the…
Honestly, it sounds like the OP hasn't played much of the game. All of the adventure packs and comic series are pretty dark in tone compared to west side.
