  • Speaking of, please make sure you save your avatars and sigs. Especially you Finn, I imagine you make the same face as your avatar every time you post.
  • Thanks Finn and the other rabble rousers for bringing a bit of positivity to the forums as of late. On Topic: Hi Devs, welcome to the asylum.
  • Looks more like Cogent is throwing a hissy fit. I know they have a history of being a male anatomy at times when it comes to honoring / not honoring / exactly how they will - honor peering agreements. Wonder if this could be one of those times. Unfortunately, if that is the case, not much you can do as Cogent is one of the…
  • Everybody calm your knickers. It was an error on PWE's part as acknowledged in their other game forums. They are currently working on a fix for ARC. Unfortunately that fix doesn't include throwing it in the rubbish bin. For reference from a PWE CM: http://fw-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=5254891&postcount=38 Thread…
  • There was a change to the billing system used to purchase Zen as noted @ http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/champions-online/news/detail/9082153-wallet-shutdown-announcement. I'm not entirely sure how things worked on the back end, but I'd say it's a safe wager this is related to the change since the PWE wallet system was…
  • They are account bound and can be traded to your other characters via your hideout shared bank space. If you need a hideout, there are some ARC codes that will give 2 freebie hideouts.
  • How does the xp from PvP compare to other leveling paths in CO?
  • The irony in your statement burns...
  • I'd suggest getting a copy off Steam and playing CO that way. You can launch the Steam version without needing to launch Steam itself. You can then just install Arc to redeem codes and promptly remove the bloated piece of fecal matter from your machine.
  • I can't say for certain as I don't know your particular setup, but this is the full path for my Steam based install on Win XP: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Champions Online\Champions Online\Live\logs\GameClient
  • Emphasis added for the statement that preceded the below quote: The attitude shown in the first quoted text doesn't exactly do your argument any favors in regards to having a leg to stand on in the second quoted text. Asking you to lay off the attitude isn't trolling. Pointing out the divisiveness in your particular…
  • You remind me of this guy (sfw&kids). Eitherway, assuming all of us live long enough to see the events predicted happen, we're all still boned.
  • Now that's a great way to get those of us PvErs who might be interested in PvP to join you and your PvP buddies in trying to bring back PvP. Cause making an us vs them argument is a well known and logical tactic to get people to join a cause... What ever happened to letting people have fun in their own…
  • Well, I did manage to get a pug that was able to finish and we did get the dynamic duo. Granted, there were also 2 vehicles that both appeared to have Plasma Beam equipped which were only broken out for these guys and the final boss. So that may not exactly be what you're looking for. But I think Crypticbuxom is right in…
  • Umm... No offense, but I've seen that line enough times from both PWE and Cryptic under Atari's management hence my skepticism. Said skepticism isn't directed at you, just those sitting on the Dev side of the equation. Watching a whole minute plus be shaved off for multiple waves of enemies isn't what I'd call working as…
  • How about we just get the timer to start after the NPC in charge is done blathering on about it instead of watching a minute be cut off the timer because it started the second the previous wave was defeated and we got to watch an unskippable cutscene to setup the current one? But then my above issue is a bit more…
  • You could post the same thing in any MMO that has transactions since all of us could wake up tomorrow and the server(s) has been shutdown with or without notice and any or no reason at all. @OP: Given the duration of CO so far and the fact that PWE has seen enough merit to get what occasional content (the discussion…
  • Song Form: DOOOMY DOOM DOOM Although that clip can also be said to be a summary of forum threads at times...
  • The same default method seen in PVE via the refining limit if you make the rewards in ore instead of already refined Q. Farm all the ore you want, you can still only refine so much per day. To help alleviate the potential issue of people running only a few matches as seen in the Alerts, make the rewards a smaller…
  • Aren't you just a friggin ray of sunshine? I may not care for PvP, but I support the folks wanting to have fun in their own particular way since isn't that the point of playing a game? Now if we could keep PvP and PvE separate by not mucking up powers by changing them for the sake of one or the other too much,…
  • He does have a point though since it was players abusing bugs to get globals / using bad system design to farm Q. The downside of a player run economy tends to be the human nature of said players. As to the AH price of keys, it's just as easy to watch Zone and keep an eye out for those wanting to sell keys.
  • Just adding another vote of support even though I don't have access to the PTS. I do trust the CO players dedicated enough to deal with the PTS to have the community's best interest in mind when it comes to costume pieces.
  • Reread the bolded parts and see if the irony doesn't just scream in your face... But as to the question you asked before getting needlessly derisive, PWE's billing is also notoriously bad for either over compensating people or ignoring a matter and hoping the players simply forget and move on. I fully support your right to…
  • Just to provide a sidenote, it was also under Atari that Vibora Bay was originally going to be pay to see content above and beyond a subscription. I can't say exactly who had that bright idea, but I do remember alot of CO vets talking about it when CO first went F2P and I originally started playing. I just don't want folks…
  • I can say that games that PWE hosts are having lag / packet loss issues due to their service provider having issues. As I'm assuming CO is still hosted with Cryptic's provider of choice I can't say for certain if Cryptic's provider is also experiencing issues which would indicate either an infrastructure issue or a bunch…
  • Depending on the browser you use, if you block a particular javascript file then it will neuter Arc and prevent redirects. I think it was globalprefs.js but I'm probably wrong and how to do it will vary based upon browser / plugins. I could have sworn somebody posted it in the CO forums at one point, but said post / thread…
  • Since this thread has gone all over the place and seems to be veering back towards the exploitdroids, I need to ask a question since I'm still confused. I ran Resistance solo prior to the recent changes to clear it from my mission queue and somehow managed to get both xp and resources by destroying the control consoles as…
  •:biggrin: Well done. That put a much needed smile on my face today. Keep up the good work.
  • Thanks for all the info and it looks like I need to rework a few things.
  • Thankfully I used Steam to originally install and did so again so no issues atm. Appreciate the info for the future.
  • Well that's a bit depressing, i just subbed and have an NVidia card. If it comes down to it, it's cheaper to unsub than buy a new video card unfortunately. Which doubly sucks since I'm recently returning and have a chance to give CO some money this time around.
