Additional note: Contest rewards are half-given out! The ZEN worth of prizes is in the hands of about half the winners -- I ran into some issues getting the 2000 ZEN game cards, will be a few days -- and CS will be granting the costumes and the AFs Friday. Thanks everyone for entering!

Everything is fine and dandy, but it appears that some Zen codes given as rewards are simply messed up.

Or something is wrong again with the accounts system.

The PIN entered is invalid. Please enter another. (4006)

    or

    Card not found

Is all what I get trying to use PIN code, no matter how carefully typed in and to the which browser.

And I checked very precisely if it is the right code.

    No typos on my end.

    ...

    Disappointing.

    It needs to be resolved.

    No, really.

*rocks quietly in a dark cave of monster island* the precious.. i don't have the precious *wails*

All joking aside after the great support from the Dev team in getting the costume set ready for release, it's a shame that the prize giving has been so uncoordinated. That seems to be the end of the business day in California (unless I have my times mixed up) and a let down from Customer Service.

I have sent a mail to TT (like Meeda, Ultimate Game Cards won't work for me). I was also asking if the placed winners recieved the Action Figures mentioned in the Contest Announcement - I am an Action Figure collector so having LordGar and the unannounced AF would be a great bonus.

If we do get the figures, since I have an Iris Irregular already can you send that one to @d-pool (who has kindly supplied me with a few nice rarer af's in the past)

Code has worked fine for me, may be a slight error on your guys end.

Im going to post up a quick reference on here if you guys dont mind, just to make sure the right steps are being taken. Im pretty sure you guys were inputting it into the promo code area, i know these cards are world wide and can be used in any country since i have given them away at CC's before.

    Zenstep1.png

    then..

    zenstep2.png

Edit: i also got word from liath about a currency exchange problem.
my other issue is 30$ is 22euro. and that only shows as 2200z for me. so not the 3000z prize

I think you should have gotten a pwe card TT, it doesnt have any currency exchange so that way people get what they paid for.

Yes, let's do insult people more because they never in their lives used any game card, which must obvious because it worked for you.
So, obviously, there must be error on the player's end because the company can do no wrong.

    Riiight...

    Except not.

You can throw your reference... somewhere, because this option "select value" doesn't even show at the step 3 for me.

    2u91ovb.jpg

And I did check it in Chrome, IE and Arc browser.

    Worldwide, indeeed...

This is problem at the PWE end, not the Players, and it should be fixed.

Anyhow, I'm done with this issue. Enough is enough.

If PWE can't even handle simple things, that's their problem. I can live without few Zen or action figures.

It will be however reminded with every of their contest that PWE's CS couldn't even handle giving rewards.

    Pathetic.

    .

For god sakes, i just said it worked on my end, i never said you're too dumb to use this card blah blah blah. i said you MAY. did you see the key word there? MAY

let me simplify that word for you further, may meaning the POSSIBILITY of it being on your end.

And i posted in there IF you have never used UGC cards before, and IF it may be the same problem, i know a few people who entered the code in that spot and thats why it didnt work. Stop being a prick to people that are just trying to help. Thats only posted there if you have never used prepaid cards before, OR ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. OKAY?, IGNORE the post, no one SAID you HAVE to freaking read it.

In case you forgot the whole point of my post, that was there to try and help to see if you had the same problem as some people have had in the past or having, Not everyone has the same problems i understand and i posted that up there in case it was that problem, hell i not even sure why the values arent popping up for you. I get it now that its probably the company's fault and what not.

But please, dont just fire up when someone is trying to help solve your problem, you could at least just said something along the lines of:

Sorry Lil, but this isnt the problem im having but instead its this...(queue explanation.)

Then maybe i could have helped..

But you know what ? im not even going to bother, Good luck getting your zen meeda.

I'm sorry. It's yet another recent account related problem and annoyance adds quickly. I may sound more aggressive than I intend.

Anyway, I think I'll pass on Zen and figures.
The whole thing was supposed to be a nice addition to the contest, but going through the annoyance of the customer support and their canned responses is simply not worth it. And that's with very optimistic assumption that customer support would do anything.

Cryptic did remarkable on their end, though. The winning costume set is amazing.

Very true...as was the winning entry by eiledon. The completely detailed designs, concept and desciptions must have been a great help to Meatiator when creating the final product.

And yes, I find it very strange that the PWE customer support gave TT a third party cards.
Considering not only problems with them not being really worldwide (I'm pretty positive they don't work in every EU country, and specifically in EU countries that did not adopt Euro currency), but also with the currency exchange rates...

Not to mention that UGCards will be rendered useless very, very soon...

Perfect World customer support has no Perfect World cards available?

Well that is a bit of a shock, my family tends to use those almost exclusively for multiple games... Fortunately we don't ever keep them sitting around unredeemed after an incident with some sequence hacker managing to redeem the codes of some cards we had sitting around unscratched for a couple of months. UGC support wouldn't do anything about it unless I could find some random receipt from an unknown time in the past, so that was pretty much lost money and a valuable lesson.

here you go,ripped off.. I mean copied straight form the news site
    Retirement Details

After seven years of having fun helping gamers pay online for virtual currency in their favorite games, our Ultimate Game Card (UGC) will be retiring later this year. Ultimate Game Cards are in the process of being pulled from all retail stores and removed from online resellers. Consumers will no longer be able to buy Ultimate Game Cards after August 15th, 2014.

The last day to redeem your activated UGC codes will be September 30, 2014. So please remember to redeem your UGC codes before that date.

Related to the UGC product retirement, UltimatePoints (UPoints) will also be shut down. The last day to redeem your UPoints will be October 31, 2014.

Please note that some games might stop accepting Ultimate Game Cards and UPoints before the retirement dates so be sure to redeem your cards and points sooner rather than later! For a current list of games please refer to UltimateGameCard.com/allgames

Well I just updated my ticket with customer support asking when I should expect to recieve my costume set (and those gifted to people). Very poor show considering the set has been live a week now and TT advised we winners would have the costumes last Friday.

Though Cryptic did their part very well.
And TT certainly did put the effort.

The extremely poor handling is on the PWE customer support.
Way to spoil otherwise successful community contest, PWE.

Well, PWE surely is very eager to advertise ingame, on the welcome screen, how their latest costume set was designed.
There's even link to the Arc page.

Now, question is, do PWE will be equally eager and show enough civil courage to write on the same Arc page how they did never care enough to hand the costume to its designer, despite they did promise it?

On the flipside, there is a serious potential for fun in it. This fact with PWE not caring enough to pass promised rewards can be slapped in their face upon every next one community contest they may start. Each. Every. Time. Until it will, eventually, lose its fun value.

I can't recall if I ever saw as blatant show of contempt to the playerbase.

I have to say that I am truly dissappointed in CO for their handling of the contest prizes. I ignored the fact that they don't communicate very well. But to just steal someones ideas is another thing altogether. I wouldn't say steal but if CO doesn't honor their end of the contract, I am forced to see it no other way. If the devs were at least corresponding with the winners to address the problem it would say something but to just ignore them is quite an issue. It trully doesn't take but a minute to write back personally. I was looking forward to my costume set coming out but now I don't know how to feel. Will I even get it? Before I see everyone else is wearing it? Maybe? Will I even get answered? Will voicing our discontent just make them ignore us more? Truly not a professional business practice.

Update: A Holoforce Costume pack has appeared. I was going through my characters and noticed it sitting in the inventory of my oldest character.

So YAY!. Here's hoping it will have also appeared as such in the inventories of those I have gifted the costume set to.

Still would it have been so hard for someone to tell me this is how it would work?

Perhaps for next costume set (and future contests) make sure Customer Support is in the loop early and advance communication is given on how the prizes will be provided. As it is the wait has taken the shine off of what should have been a fun contest, especially after the great work put in by Meatiator interpreting my entry.

Truly not a professional business practice.
Professional business communication can be a wonky thing, thanks to liability and such. I've had a previous boss instruct me to avoid talking about issues except by phone so the client is aware we were working on it *but* there is no email record of us acknowledging the problems for them to wave around later. Or avoid any communication for an issue being worked soon so the only recorded communication is the resolution. It was a hassle.

P.S. I'm overjoyed to see that eiledon appears to have gotten his pack now. Its a mess how it was handled but at least it was finally...

I dunno what I did but i eventually managed to redeem my UGC card, although had to take a hit on the prize - 2200z instead of 3000z. Damn euro conversion.

Anyway still waiting for some feedback on when my giftees are to expect their costume sets. Nothing heard from TT in almost 2 weeks and CS say its the community team not them. (Despite the fact Necra's giftees got theirs via CS).

I'm in the UK, so Europe but not Euro and it worked for me - although showed me Euros not GBP. I'm wondering now if its something to do with my browser set up. I had to do a pc rebuild the weekend of the holoforce release, and havent reinstalled everything that I may have had before (browser add-ons) and something previously may have interfered with UGC.

Your other alternative is to offer the codes to friends in return for items. As I said last time I had a UGC code I got a friend in the states to charge it for me and buy me a bunch of keys.

If you want me to try I could at least cash it through and send you on keys or other consumables from the zstore you may want.

It will NOT work for me and I know it because I tried to redeem codes on different browsers on two different computers.

This is not the problem on my side, but on PWE one.

    NO.

I should NOT be forced to do any of this.

Plus, not everything can be given to other players. What if I'd like anything what is account bound or account unlock?

Rally, the whole thing that the company uses thrid part cards, and that said cards:
    1 - aren't even worldwide and
2 - within few months will be invalid anyway
    Is silly enough.

As I understand, instead of "going Don Quixote" you were smart and found "solytion"?

No. It wasn't any solution. It was admission of a defeat. A capitulation.

It should not be even up to the player to find a solution in this situation. But whatever worked for you.

Myself, I'd rather go through all the vitriol and bad blood and even earn nothing, instead of surrender.

And mentioned "solution" would fall short anyway.

I have no use for keys. I never use keys. And I'll have no need for the keys.

Plus, Z-store consumables are nothing short of utter garbage.

The only things of value for me are Z-store services.

Or I might just keep Zen for the future hoping that one day there will be any costume of interest for me.

Either way, this kind of "solution" would be of no use for me, even if I'd lower myself to it.
