I'm glad that the scope of the fight was expanded to include the qularr ships. The fight looks big yet shows that its only a small part of something bigger, but not the least bit less important.

Alright here's the sketch, it's a bit complicated so I'll describe what's going on to make sure it's clearer.

Caliga and queen on balcony looking over prosperous planet
Gadroon invasion, ships surrounding planet, Gadroon in the background about to squeeze the planet
Queen putting helmet on Caliga, more soldiers lined up next to him
Caliga kicking ****, but there's just too many of them!
Caliga on his knees and shackles, queen is about to get shot by Gadroon, his helmet is on the ground with a knife through the slit with blood, indicating that's how he lost an eye
Big figure of Caliga looking sad/mad with Queen portrait behind him and shot of planet exploding behind him as well.
Hope I got everything you wanted in there. Let me know what you think." - Alex Dai
All of this is fitted into his cape as a symbol of what and where he came from. What do you guys think so far?

This is really epic, you can really tell the hell that Caliga has been through. Haha, nice. Again I look forward to any more commissions you have lined up. :biggrin:
I do like this insight we get into Caliga's past, it looks and feels like it's his core reason for becoming what he is today, it also explains his anger towards Gadroon forces.
It's well constructed I think, allows you to get a good picture of the situation and part of Caliga's history.
Caliga, having lost his love and former home, would be more fitting as Darth Vader. As such, you need to press this button instead.
The piece does look nice though. Oh, and if Caliga ever wants his eye back he should probably talk to KT after she has her science lab funded and functional.

I've seen the other art before, but the collage that shows the backstory makes me feel bad for all those pokes I've given you. Caliga doesn't like pokes because he was already poked horribly before... in the heart
Also, in the eye it seems. Poked with a knife in the eye.
Alex does amazing stuff, I actually have plans for another of my own with him soon.
The only thing that bothers me about this is I keep wanting to see the back of the cape flap over in that top left area. It would of course mean cutting a little bir of the concept.
But as far as the art work it's fantastic! Who would of thought Caliga would have looked like Ben Affleck from Argo.
