    Thank's guys! This was done by an artist that specializes in CoH and CO heroes. Goes by the name of Alex Dai.

    More fan-art! This one is of unfinished sketches of a battle scene between Caliga and the Gadroon, during their 1997 Invasion attempt! I'll post the finished product once it's..well..finished!:biggrin:

    Seriously though, that is some awesome art. One day I will get around to commissioning some epic art like that for Rugby. I look forward to seeing more stuff in this thread.

    I do not. There is a special artist I go to for commission work. In my opinion, he captures the look of comics so well, I couldn't think of any other artist. His name is Alex Dai, you can find more of his work in this link here.


    And for anybody wondering, Here is an update on the Gadroon Battle Scene with Caliga! I'll post the finished product when it's ready! :smile:

    tyty! Alex Dai really is amazing. Well anyway, it's time for an update! This time Alex will be doing a piece of Caliga vs Grond during the Battle of Detroit! After talking to him for a bit, these 3 possible scenarios came up!

    A: Caliga Haymakering Grond through part of a building.

    B: Caliga pummeling Grond down into the ground.

    C: Just like A, but zoomed back slightly, and in the air I think?

    I'd go for B, personally. It's got a great composition: Caliga slightly separated from Grond, with Grond's head below and his arms framing each side.

    B would be my first choice, followed closely by A. I don't really like C.

    I asked my SG and some friends ingame about what they would think too. Turns out many prefer A, although B came kinda close, and not many liked C because it seemed too far for any detail.

    So with that said, I gave my choice to Alex, which was A, and within a few more hours, he gave me this as an updated sketch:

    Once the final product is finished, I'll post it here! Thanks guys!

    We both felt that due to lore reasons, "A" made it look like Grond was a massive giant. Although Grond is big, we delved into it more and both looked up a little more research through the internet, players online, some CORP resources on their website, and have found out that Grond is actually around the 12-16 foot range in terms of height. So we adjusted Caliga's size ratio in terms of keeping him on a different layer than the whole picture so it would be easier to scale. And with that, it made the whole picture look more lore friendly to the Champions Universe.

    Thank you all for the kind compliments! Again, Alex Dai is the artist and I greatly appreciate his hard work, all I do is pay him :biggrin:. Look him up on google, and maybe commission a piece of art for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

    I did pay him. The pricing usually depends on the number of characters/bodies in the picture, and the complexity of the background or something. You can find quotes on his pricing here in this link ----> Images By Alex! <----

    Okay finally.. i post again! Huzzah. So what'd i miss.

    Oh lets see, Caliga i see that your other piece is done, that looks utterly.. epic.. hot damn. O_O And alex dai is doing another one for you? Sure you aren't working him to the bone? Hahah, but its real nice to see this art being put up there, that grond fight looks awesome!

    Some more fan art from me. This time i did it on my tablet, i still have yet to color it but heres the outline so far. :) I Shall post when it is done and colored, may take a bit as i am busy.

    A comic takes a little more money, well actually alot more. If I really really was set on doing a comic, I could ask Alex if he does those, and ask for a quote. But until then, ill stick with pretty pictures haha. A comic MIGHT be in the future though. We'll see. But anway, without further ado...TA-DAA!!!
