NO zone chat

first it was in NW, then checked STO and then CO. Yes I have reported it to customer service.
It only affects this one acct, not my other 2.

I've tried to check trade but all I get is smartarse remarks.

doesn't zone chat need 20 hours play time to open?

does your new account have that yet?

The top one is my LTS acct
The second is my 2 1/2 year old gold acct. as you can see the character is Level 40,

The gold acct is the one with the problem.

My new silver acct, you can't talk in zone but you can still see it.


This bug is making everyone invisible on zone.

I can still type in zone and see my writing but I can't see other people.

It is literally like the PM bug we get in CO but expanded to affect all of Zone chat by treating everyone as on ignore.

It started in NW, a few other people have got the problem too.

Zebular's cleared up after a week, someone else has had no chat since Beta.

Also it affects all THREE games, not just CO. I have no Zone in STO or NW either.

Only 1 account, the other 2 use the same files, the same computer with no problems.

have you tried setting and unsetting the chat whitelist option in Social > Privacy Settings?

I did some googling and people in the past seem to have found that fixed issues with zone chat not being visible.

This is account wide , on three games. My settings are different on all of them

also some custom channels are still ok but others are suspect.

15minutes later,, so it may not be immediate.
ok , trade and zone are back on that acct or I logged on to the wrong.
seems to have fixed NW,
STO still trying to locate anyone in zone.
yes someone finally said something.

Have copying your post to the NW forums for the people there with the bug.

glad it worked. it seems like this is one of those hard to reproduce bugs that are hard to fix.
