Failure of Conversion of Gold ATs to Silver ATs on Lapse of Subscription

My subscription recently lapsed and so I converted my Gold Archetypes to their equivalent Silver AT. Unfortunately there appears to have been a glitch on a large number of my characters. Note this has also been submitted as a bug report: Ticket ID #2,869,262.

The following appear to have experienced partial resets and require Retcon's to fix:

Riot Squad (40) - Converted from Gold Soldier to Silver Soldier. Issue: Ego (Tier 1) Specialisation Points Showing 10/10 but no points applied, Level 40 Specialisation Reset. Unable to reapply 11 Spec Points.

Faith Blackheart (40) - Converted from Gold Scourge to Silver Scourge. Issue : Recovery (Tier 1) Specialisation Points Showing 10/10 but no points applied, Level 40 Specialisation Reset. Unable to reapply 11 Spec Points.

Gauntlet (40) - Converted from Gold Devestator to Silver Devestator. Issue : Strength (Tier 1) Specialisation Points Showing 10/10 but no points applied, Level 40 Specialisation Reset. Unable to reapply 11 Spec Points.

Mister Mystic (32) - Converted from Gold Grimoire to Silver Grimoire. Issue : Intelligence (Tier 1) Specialisation Points Showing 10/10 but no points applied. Unable to reapply 10 Spec Points.

Sallah (23) - Converted from Gold Mind to Silver Mind. Issue: Presence (Tier 1) Specialisation Points showing 4/10 but no points applied in individual slots. Showing as 10 points available but unable to apply 10 points in Tier 1.

Ben'Thal (26) - Converted from Gold Behemoth to Silver Behemoth. Issue: Constitution (Tier 1) Specialisation Points showing 7/10 but no points applied in individual slots. Showing as 10 points available but unable to apply 10 points in Tier 1.


I also have a further 2 characters fully reset (and so recoverable without further outlay) and my remaining characters were all still able to reassign their Tier 1 Specialisation points due to their low level.

So Supports Response - raise a bug report (which I did prior to even raising my support ticket). I have specifically asked now for retcon tokens for the above characters as the error is due to a system failure. Also asked for it to be escalated if CS rep cannot authorise this.

Has anyone else experienced this issue when converting back from Gold to Silver (at to at) in both cases?

    Yup. This is a known issue. It's been happening for at least a year. In fact, it just happened to me again. Whenever you convert from Gold to Silver, you lose the first tier of your spec points. The only way to fix the issue is to retcon your Specs.

    I complained about this last year directly to customer service and on these boards. Nothing was done about it. Hopefully, you will fair better.

    Well that serves you right for chnageing back to sliver account from an GOLD account, I mean what idiot does that.

    I hope this bug stays and teaches people a lesson.

    And people wonder why silvers think golds are elitist when they see posts like this.

    Some people may not play the game every month and so decide they do not want to sub that month. A bug is a bug. fix it and move on. But i see from other threads you are only interested in bugs which affect you.

    I guess this will fall on deaf ears as you seem a very angry person for some reason. get more hugs. :tongue:

    That was really Harsh and Dickish thing to say!

    So people who can't Afford their Gold Subscription anymore for various reasons but still want to play CO, need to suffer from the Game Bugs huh?

    Well, the qeastion is why do it in the first place if you can't afford it?, sure most of there toons will be locked out due to gold but if your not going to pay for it, you don't get what you wish for of way I mean.

    For example: if you want your toon to say like have this shiny object, you don;t pay, he gets it taken away until you re-pay.

    But maybe I came down too harsh, what I mean is serves you right for doing the gold and then after you find out you can't pay after, I mean its a bit silly don;t you think "I can pay gold", then turns out you can't?


    Also, I hardly doubt this is a bug even, maybe its some sort of lock?, if it is then its a good one, but I apologize if I came down to harsh, I wanted to say the technical reason behind this.

    Just I was going for the typical punishment, you can'y pay for it?, suffer the drawbacks, like everyone does when they can't afford something they want. they suffer the drawbacks.

    Actually before you start assuming things about why people do things, perhaps you should take 5 minutes before posting in a thread and decide if you really need to post. A lot of your posts come across as quite toxic.

    As for the OP, I gave him an old boxed CO code that i had laying around so he could try out the game as a gold for a month to see if it was worth it to him to sub on a permanent basis.
