Hello everyone I have yet another costume set suggestion. its called the Bio-matter Mercenary set, most of the description is in the picture. so i hope you like. And I also want to thank Eiledon for making the Holo force set that inspired me to do this.

I like it, and fully endorse it. I see a lot of potential costumes for my characters with this.

    Agreed.

Heck, if this is working the way I think it is, so that by using the "blackout psi" trick the "biomatter" parts, as you call them, can be made invisible unless an aura is used, the way other holo-form parts are, I can already picture a character that's some sort of telekinetic amputee using his powers to manifest replacement limbs, or a hovering robot projecting hard-light-construct manipulators.

Hell yeah! But I don't think this one is possible ... Normally costumes are based off a humanoid template which is of same structure and skin, so if this gets created, it has to be a new skin texture.

    Anyways,

/signed I would definitely save up for this if released

It could still apply if treated with a variation of the same graphic kerjiggery that replaces normal arms and legs with robotic limbs.

if they did do this, I would think they would add some sort of central core/skeleton to the body parts to prevent it's use in making totally invisible characters - which would in a way give a lot of people what they want too - skeletal body parts.

Something along these lines was suggested by C3rvand0 during the Costume Contest. Perhaps you two should work together on a suggestion - seems like a good match.

I thought this set would only give the arms and legs the ability to be invisible. The torso would still be there.

It would be perfect for my Cyber Eye character, so he can finally be just a giant floating eye, rather than an eye with arms and legs.

Yeah, this is clearly a limbs-only invisiblity, and without a need for limiting oneself to a specific handful of torsos to exploit glitches to do so.

I know the last time I submitted a costume idea, it took them a year to add it. I didn't get credit for it, but I was glad to finally have it in the game.

Hopefully it won't take as long for you, and they actually give you credit.

Ikr... Some of the lockbox costumes and tactical armor had some stuff from what I submitted for the official costume contest. But I was too happy it got added anyways. The plus point about lockbox sets is that you can buy em for about 6-10 keys. Where as the zen equivalent in terms of Q crates:

    At max,

    10 keys = 5 Q-crates

    For average zen output,

    35, 000 Q / crate

    35,000 / 350 x 5 = 35, 000 / 70 = 500

And this is a rather ideal case

The spider legs back piece. About a year (possibly two) ago I submitted some sketches for new costume ideas. Among them was a set of Bone Armor (looked different than the Bone Armor we have now), a wasp tail accessory, a scorpion tail accessory, and a couple spider leg back pieces (both organic and inorganic) in the exact same style as the ones we have now. The only difference was, the ones I submitted came straight from the back, rather than float off the back.

    Uhm...

    Nope.

The spiders leg back piece we have is the one featured in eidolon's project for holoforce armor.

It was delayed and added with PSI dragon set because there were some problems with implementation.

Yup, meeda's dead right. They were part of Eidolon's (Liath's) design.

If this set does get made which I doubt, I would rather it be broken down and put in the Q store than a lockbox, I would spend too many keys trying to get the set. 45k Q per piece.

Thanks I would love to make this set look even better, but I lack the skills. I would love to work with somebody who knows how to present costume suggestions( like elideon or meeda, sorry if I spelled the names wrong. ) That would be awesome.

That's a great idea! I would actually bother buying 2 Q crates for the arms.

Note: if that sounded sarcastic, sorry. It is NOT sarcasm. I am serious here.

Especially since the only set in the Q store is the cyberpunk, it would make a great edition.

Can you bump your own post :p this seriously needs to be considered.

P.S. I'm working on improving the presentation for this set, but it's gonna be a little while, I have classes and random life problems, but I'll try my best to get it up ASAP

I'm unsure if you can but hay, me talking to you bumps it a little. I do agree with you that this set needs to be considered, but your missing a few things about game Devs.

This happens, no matter how people color it, your set may look great and alot of players will enjoy it, sure maybe if this gets alot more attention the DE might just take note, however that's very unlikely going to happen, because most Devs these days in the gaming world don't care what us fans want. at all they just do as they please and tell us to enjoy it. Sure they have the power to do what they want because its THEIR game, not ours so we have no choice in this matter.

Sure, some costumes where made from fans but that's only due to events that they felt was necessary to make, the 2 big updates like Steel Crusade and Reloaded, I love them both and I have my flaws about it, and some people hate it out-right, but its something, its content.

Anyways the point here is, your costume looks great, but don't get your hopes up, the chances of this made into the game whuold be maybe 1%. but I chuold be wrong, the DE chuold turn around and make it, but more likely it won't.

The 2 things I want in CO to do, and yeah its in the UNTIL data-file thingy, that tells us whats coming out, but that's out of date now, but XP gifting and the hideout rooms, I really want to be out. but still they have made it yet, so I will still have to wait or be still dispointed.

But the only thing we chuold do is just wait and see what happens, if your set makes it great, if not well, that's just a shame

TBH I don't see how making holographic body parts would require a completely new technology.

They aren't skeletal limbs, they're more akin to regular limbs or cyberpunk/pharaoh robot limbs, just with transparent materials assigned.

Yes, they would require prominent joints to separate them from normal body parts. But that's about it.

Well I think it's time for another bump :-), Maybe even the next lockbox since lockboxes seem to be in this season,

P.S. sorry about the late updates, I had more time when I was not in school but I'm still working on it.
And yes I am very persistent.

Out of curiosity but how duos the bio-matter meant to look excaly?. Your art-skills are amazing btw, but looking at the legs are they bacily like the holofroce hex hologram things?. or are they just an overlay over the legs and arm?

Also my suggestion is to contact Eiledon to maybe help you with the set?. As Eiledon makes perrty lovely costumes and he did get his voted up and implanted into the game. Just a suggestion, also have you contacted TT yet or PW?

As well, as much as bumping this topic will help no one but I'm still wondering to see if your still working on this or given up on it.

I'm only making suggestions to help you, not to bump this topic, but...wait..don;t that bump the topic anyways?.....hummm...or will it not..because..its not my topic. But its your topic so if someone does talk on it is that really considered bumping?..or just..commenting..but.humm..:confused:

Also apologize for the hard fangs at you, its a nice set and all but it drives a few people mad, bumping over and over, I did it in the past and all, on the face-punch forms etc. So I was just taking heart of that.

Oh and other qeastion, your into fallout 3 it seems, by seening your other costume and an robot arm that nappers to have a Pip-boy looking thing.

Also what excaly is bio-matter much more details on this, like what bio-matter is from, who made it, how it is used might be handy, as one of my toons Lizzy whuold fit this set very well, as her powers involve firing nanobots and such out of her hands. Any more good info on this chuold help as well.

Because this type of bio-matter like skin reminds me of Nano-viber from crysis 2 nano suit. and this whuold work great with my toon Lizzy, there is already a skin that's like this, nano like skin hexagons but the lines on the suit I dislike is the matter set just a hole bunch of tiny hexagons?

    Entire glowing limbs??? o_O

    Champions Online: Glowpocalypse.

I think they'd be saving this for the week before the game shuts down. After entire glowing body parts, there's not really anywhere else to go! Would look neat with various accessories partially covering it up though.
