Skull Man Homage

As in the character created by Shotaro Ishinomori, though will be basing it off the 2007 anime/live action prequel movie version of the outfit, which looks like this:



Though I might do the original outfit in a sense as a tribute... It's just, I'm not sure how to go about the head for the costume, that is where I am stumped and was wondering if you talented men and women could help me figure out how to do that helmet. I do know that in the 2007 anime the helmet could get teeth like face plate to cover the exposed mouth to make it even more skull like. Apparently the ending for said anime was a tribute of sorts to Cyborg 009 since this version of Skull Man becomes the leader of Black Ghost, the organization the cyborgs fight.

Have you considered Robot Samurai as a head type? With the first two colors as dark grey and the last two as white, and with Huge Goggles as an Eye Accessory (non broken, second color red with the rest white) it looks pretty similar. For real fun if you have it the Mouth Accessory "Armored Serpent Jaw" collides through nicely with some color adjustments and provides some lower tusks (since the picture has such a toothy mouth).


Another approach that looks pretty good to me was Full Mask with
* Head Type=Nighthawk (2nd color grey, others white).
* Eyes=Solid (2nd color red).
* Eye Accessory=Eyeplate Samurai (all white) <=This looks a lot like the forehead in the picture.
* Mouth Accessory=Armored Ventilator (all dark grey).
* Side Accessory=SciFi Soldier Chin Guard (all white).
You have to do some slider work to tone down the jaw but it all comes out okay.

Taco suggested the robot samurai head too. I don't have the sci-fi soldier set or nighthawk head yet though. One idea I had that would possibly work if i had the sci-fi soldier set would to possibly combine it with the ancient helmet in the hats and helmets section. But I didn't get to try that. i will try the samurai head though with the serpent jaw.

THe head isn't quite the way I would want it but I don't have the C store pieces you guys mentioned (nor the cyberpunk mouth piece.) While I do have the robot samurai, I didn't try to use that. I really like the head a lot bar the small clip and well, I can only do so much atm. Maybe once I get some zen and the holo hex set comes out I'll nab that.
