So how many of you play Brigade characters? That's a fun idea. Back when CoH started, about eight of us who played at a net cafe all created variants of the Agents from the Matrix.

Is there still room to create a new Brigade member? I see that the thread is a year old now, what is the current costume base?

Yep, always room for more! We generally hop onto our Brigades to do certain content or for events and stuff.

The costume is still the same, it's the one in the first post.

I should hopefully be able to manage noon server time as well as later on in the evening. I know a couple of people had expressed interest in joining in. We can make some announcements in the Brigade channel, too.

And yeah, Eremis. More Brigades are always welcome! :D

A new Myriad costume I threw together today

    Attachment not found.

Needs the "Tech Tights" C-store pack for the top, but it makes a nifty little "M" pattern on her tights.

66+ pages of costume ideas... for a character meant to look like a bunch of clones.

And clones can't have fashion sense??

And i think you forgot the 13 pages about dancing and 16 pages of how giant women like clones. That dance.

So, the pre crisis VB has a villain named Mr. Gemini, he leads the Gemini Gang. He can duplicate himself to multiple duplicates, clones which all have their own powers. Did someone in Cryptic clone Brigade and made it evil?

    Nah, it's an old concept.

I roleplayed a hero with a similar power concept and style in DC Heroes RPG [Mayfair Games Pen and Paper RPG] back in the late eighties, my hero was named "Strikeforce", and initially worked and advertised himself as a Mercenary hero for hire, before someone found out he wasn't really a team of mercs, but a single hero that could dupe himself and each dupe could use one extra other super power from a list of powers I'd bought with a limitation to only work on one dupe form at a time.

By the end of the campaign five years later, his powers had gotten better.. he had all of them in non duped form, and when he duped he'd dole them out one by one to his dupes. Was an interesting and fun character to play.

I think Finn was just having a bit of fun. :)

But yeah, Brigade was inspired partly by Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man.

The Super Group name was actually supposed to be The Multiple Man, but that wasn't allowed. I think Multi-Man sounds better anyway! :p

    I was being deadly serious.
Cryptic. You know what, Brigade will let this slide IF we can have that Duplicate power set. Each of our clone gets power set from Nemesis sets OR from the Archetypes. THAT would be a nice gesture for the cloning. And the dance partees would be awesome.

To the Suggestion Box, Boy Blunders!!!

And what powers Madrox has? He can just duplicate himself. So he can Grouphug villains to death.

    /salute

Well, since the new X-Factor title started at least, each of Jamie's dupes has its own personality. (One, John Madrox, is a preacher who declines to rejoin Jamie because a) he has his own life now, with a wife and child, and b) he disapproves of the violence Jamie has to engage in on a regular basis.)

Sometimes his dupes get him in trouble, too, like the night that he spent with Monet, and with Theresa, while snug in his own bed...

Oh so each of this Gemini guy's clones get their own powers like Brigade, too? I think I read that wrong the first time.

Had this from last year's holiday event and thought I'd put it up in case folks were feeling festive. :D I'll work something out for Myriad, too and put it up in a little bit.

As someone whose main character is a Santa Claus clone (belly 'n all with some careful slider fiddling), it's nice to see other Santas out there! I'll keep an eye out for you guys in costume at Christmas time, it'd be rad to get a shot of Santa looking confused while a load of Santa-suited Brigades are dancing around him. Also Brigelf is rad too.

You know if I didn't already have my 3 slots filled up, I wouldn't mind making a Brigade. Maybe one day when I get two of my characters to lv 40, i'll just take out Redbourne, my cursed, and make a Brigade lol.

You know, i never thought about it until now, a Brigade is a great use for the archetype rotation slot.

We haven't gone anywhere. We are hiding in the shadows, watching over mankind. Protecting common man from evil which ever it may surface. Keeping the light burning bright in a beacon of Justice. Standing firm against the forces of evil like a wall of stone stands against the howling wind. Appearing when there's dance happening and giant women around. And then dissappearing back to the shadows. Guarding. Watching. Learning new dance moves.

It's been brought up before, but another Brigade has just made a startling discovery in the Queen City. :D

I haven't gotten further than that mission/storyline wise, but I think at some point we need to have a giant Brigade vs Mr. Gemini fight, if that's feasible. Show that copying copycat who's boss.

What Finn said. You need to have the default costume for when we get together, but otherwise, have fun with the concept. I won't be on my desktop until after 4 or 5 eastern this afternoon. But I'll toss you an invite when I get home again.

I have the default saved, but I've never bought any of the account wide Costume Slots, so I have to wait for the SG invite or until I level high enough.

(A part of me is kinda trying to wait on doing Westside until the inevitable patch).

I am loging in now and I'll toss you an invite. Assuming the launcher's auto update thingy in the corner connects.

Well, I know Smackwell does (at least, I'm pretty sure he does), and I do as well, so that's at least three of us (including KnightMan). That leaves just 2 more to make the SG. At that point, it's just a matter of getting everyone together.
