Server Not Responding- Log in fail for over 24hrs.

After going through STO posts, seems log in issues are abundant. I cannot log in, things went crappy yesterday. Funny it happens right after i ding the Mastercard for another monthly sub. Sometimes i can get to character screen, then after char choice halfway load screen then "server not responding". Sometimes I freeze on character retrieval only to be booted to log in screen.
Well seems to be an issue. Ive tried everything. Proxy,cache,drivers,updates. All other games work fine. I haven't re-installed the game as, well other games work fine.
Starting to feel the CO withdrawals. And getting a bit annoyed. After a year of subbing seems to be always "something" with this game.
Its a shame really as Cryptic has a very devout population. Fans that with tongue in cheek continue to play/pay with faults and bugs attached no matter what. I for one applaud you all, as an old fart such community's are very hard to find and reminds me of EQ community's of ages past. Loyal,knowledgeable, funny and most of them are willing to help newbs with builds or quests. Many a player has saved me hassles with their inputs on devices/cossies/travel powers etc etc..you get where im going.
Anyways I do hope this issue is resolved soon. I'm beginning to get the feeling I did with WoW and RIFTS. Both are covered in dust buried under many layers of flotsam.

If anyone else is having Log in issues, please drop a note so i don't feel so alone and im not crazy. XD

Issue has been resolved thanx Cryptic or whatever powers were involved to solve my CO addiction.

Please note--Im only complaining as i frikken love this game dearly. As i have read on many threads, we all love this game. Please Cryptic make CO a priority. You have a very unique niche in the market atm. Time to flex that marketing/dev muscle. Im sure we all will support the many suggestions that have been posted by your ever loyal fans. This game is much much fun and a great community to boot.

Question, what PRECISELY was the problem?

Im having this problem now, the launcher loads, but it wont patch, and trying to just login through the game client wields NO response -.-


Id put in a ticket but nobodies home. Bye for now!

TT posted a thread in Super News Network that may be addressing your issue. In short, a recent patch broke the connection to Windows Game Explorer; if that's what you're using, you'll need to put in a desktop shortcut instead.

Also having major issues today including:

Launcher sitting at "Patch" status for exceptionally long time
On Log in, Retrieving Character List timing out - return to ingame login screen
On Log in, Retrieving Maps timing out - return to ingame login screen
Map transitions timing out/server not responding
Rubberbanding back and forth between two locations (end up where i wanted to be eventually) and lag spikes
Slow UI refresh and interaction
...

Unfortunately when in the game the above make it unplayable for me so logged out to try again. Same story. Using the same desktop shortcut to start the game i always have..
