    Alchemist's Sanctum:

Can we just call this one what it really is? Necromancer's Sanctum

    Coffins?
    Cages?
Dipping that poor guy in the cauldron?

The Sanctum reads more like it belonged to a Sovereign Son member before now.

How do you know that the hero isn't dipping those bones in the cauldron to bring him back to life?

Everything in every hideout is open to interpretation. We try to give you guys as many options as we can, and let you sort out what your hero does, or does not do with those. If you don't like the winch or the cages, don't use them.

Actually the only things I'd like is the option to remove the coffins from the Tailiors and be able to have the Monk statues up front without the Cauldron.

Have the option (for each) of other characters on your account as NPCs in your base walking around using the computer, sitting, sleeping (moon base)

Have the computer have access to UNTIL and an account wide bank (expandable)

There would have to be a limit on how many alts you could have walking around in your hideout - some people have 40+ characters, so perhaps limiting it to 2 or 3 selectable alts would work.

The devs are going to add more functionality to hideouts. I just hope that all those new features don't also have to be bought. I'm fine w/ getting like 1 page of account storage for free, being able to buy more w/ in-game resources, then being able to get even more w/ c-points, but we already paid for the hideouts - it would really irk me if every bit of functionality incurred another real money charge...

    This^

My character would use the Alchemist Sanctum's closet to store her wardrobe, but those coffins really don't work for her thematically, and she'd never keep them around the house.

Plus also just because characters belong to the same player that doesn't necessarily mean that they like eachother or hangout at eachother's places.

A better option would be to have the ability to add a number of NPCs you can customize at the tailors. You could simply save a copy of the costumes of whatever alts you'd like hanging around your hideout, and if having other alts hang around the house isn't your thing, you can still make up your own retainer NPCs to hang at your character's place. (which is an idea that has been proposed several times before)

why would you limit anything, if your character doesn't fit with the hideout don't use it.
remember, you can assign every character to different hideouts, no limits needed.

my main has a huge mother ship flying over earth, it has everything you would expect in a space ship.
yes, i keep on talking about space ship until ether it's being made (with is AFAIK the most simple thing to do knowing what tech they use) or at least added to the list.

I like the Primal Cave and Alchemist Sanctum, but as others have pointed out why are there stone coffins in the Alchemist Sanctum, they are more something that you would see in a vampire mansion or/and in crypts, the cages in the Alchemist Sanctum also look a bit off and more something you’ll see in a dungeon, the same goes for the cauldron, except if it’s a Witch themed Sanctum.

The robed statues is really nice, if there could be some smaller versions of them where the floating status can be placed that would also be nice.

The coffins should probably have been glass cabinets where the Alchemist would have ingredients in glass jars and such.

The Primal Cave did have something missing, when you choose the ice cave the stone table, doors and most of the floor doesn’t turn icy and it looks a little bit off, not much but still a bit off.

One thing that I would really like to have is an undo and redo button like in the tailor, or just have the possibility to save and load.

And as a side note: I like the Tech basement, but as others have said the wallpaper ad the stairs don’t fit in with the Tech, maybe giving us the ability to remove the wallpaper and have a concrete or brick wall would be an option, I also agree that I metal door and stairs would be good, maybe a lock on the door.

The 60’s Retro Moonbase was nice too, but would it be possible to change the lamps in the tailor area to something more neutral, those orange lamps with dots makes it hard to choose lamps for the rest of the base.

For the Primal Cave, wasn't there a pile of gold and treasure somewhere? I remember seeing it in the PTS way before it came out.
I went back to the PTS to check it again at a later date and I saw no option for it.
    Was it taken out?

How can I be a dragon without my hoard? D:

Edit: On second thought. I got the Primal Cave mixed up with something else. But a pile of gold and treasure would be a nice touch.

    +1 post for player vanity.

Have any potential moonbase personal recognise you are 'on deck' and salute you as you walk in on first entrance / v. peroidically inbetween (maybe on click).

    ALSO:

I know before I have mentioned spectral butler or librarian for the mystic sanctum, so I was thinking Holo-butler for penthouse (just to give a visual presence to any JARVIS-like AI). He would be projected from a little webcam type of orb in top corner of room.

I think these are obvious must-needed additions to hideouts:

    1. More space/rooms
    2. Mini/multi-player games (cards or something simple, like Star Trek Online has with Dabo)
    3. Crafting tables
    4. Shop and/or auction access
    5. Storage
    6. More customization, including the ability to put action figures and perk trophies on the walls and change the colours of walls, floors and furniture as well as their location
    7. Improved guest list access so friends can enter at any time
    8. Message board so friends can leave drawings and notes

And any other things that will give people a reason to actually visit the hideouts.

    Pre-emptive sure, but re: the Penthouse hideout I would love to see the enviroment used for;
The Penthouse would be a great instance for a flyby emergency mission. You are just flying along (near whererever that penthouse is supposed to be situated... for location continuity) and you get the mission prompt which tp's you into that instance hovering outside and you fly into a burning / burned out Penthouse with a cowering billionaire and a crazed Firewing or Blowtorch doing what they do best.

We need more of that kind of variety in my opinion, to lift the action more off of the City streets.
    Thanks. :)

The retro moonbase to me comes off as just a regular moonbase and not so retro. Not really retro at all to be honest.

Could you add some retro-future style stuff to it?

    Perhaps some art deco even?

I'm thinking Flash Gordon stuff. Things that would fit the following costume sets:

    Retro Future
    Art Deco
    Sci-Fi

I'm no artist, so I can't really think of anything more detailed than that.

Oh, and while I think it was mentioned as being planned:

    1) Please add a crafting room with the ability to choose which craft (Sci/Arm/Myst)
    2) The bank mentioned this week I think is some kind of account bank. Could we have a bank room that simply accesses the regular bank? Either that or add it to the crime computer like you're doing with this one.

    .......pretty easy.

Again, I think improving the crime computer would be important next step for immersive experience, as currently its pretty meh. Please give the crime computer ability to contact SOCRATES and give same missions that Socrates is giving out.

Also: Mailbox inside the hideout would be nice.

    Moved here by request.

First off; I have no dislikes about any of the Hideouts I've checked out thus far. There are things I hope to see added, but there's nothing about any of them that I dislike.

I picked up the standard cave hideout, and it's cozy. I likes it a lot. I personally use the tropical locale 'cuz I like the waterfall.

Some other players were nice enough to let me take a tour of their pads so I could see all the other current hideouts, and I gotta say that they're all pretty darn cool.

With that out of the way; now let's get down to some brass tacks of things I really want to see added to the hideouts.

    1. A safe. This is where players can stash globals and leave globals in tow for their characters. Simple, useful, and not an outrageous thing to ask for (people do own safes last time I checked).

    2. NPC's to liven things up a bit. If your a "pet class" character you could choose to have your pets be doing things in your hideout. If you bought a sidekick from the C-Store; they could hang out in your pad when you go there (needless to say that the hangout time in the hideout shouldn't subtract from the sidekick's usable device time). I would also like the option to have other characters I created on my account hanging out in the hideouts as well. I'm not saying all of my characetrs at one time (the character limit for hideouts is currently ten I think) so you could despawn NPC's if you have freinds over once the character limit began filling up.

    3. A showcase housing mannequinns that displayed character's costumes when they weren't being worn. If you've ever watched anything Batman related; you know what I'm talking about.

    4. Villain trophy cases. Let's say you beat Black Talon (who hasn't, right?) and once you do this and get the perk you have tha option to display a piece of his power armor in a showcase. Let's say that this showcase can display 5 or so items at a time and you can change out which ones you want to show off for some extra variety as long as you have the perks for them. Could also enhance RP for the RP'ers ("Remember when we took down Shadow Destroyer?" while looking at the Helmet in the showcase, etc.)

    5. Increased interactivity with Hideout settings. It's been said several times that Hideouts are more or less "dollhouses" for our characters. I think these "playsets" should have tons of things for our "action figures" to toy around with. A stereo that plays music. A punching bag we can beat on. Spell books we can read. Beds we can sleep on. Chairs we can sit on by interacting (z key) with. Telescopes we can use. You get the idea.

    6. Crafting tables. I think this one is pretty self-explainatory.

    7. Nemesis attacks. Your Nemesis shows up; trys to trash your pad, beat up your friends and NPCs, and who's to say your Nemesis would bring the Nemesis of one of your friends that's hanging out with you?

    8. Guest appearances. Have the existing Champions IP heroes and such drop by to hang out. They could also drop in to ask for help (new mission content via Hideouts).

    9. Guest villain attacks. Let's say you beat up Talisman and saved the day. Something tells me there's a good chance she might be a little mad about that. Let's make the Hideouts themselves a venue for content since so much great work was put into them.

I, personally, see Hideouts as an amazing doorway for innovative new content in Champions Online. Social content, solo content, and co-op content...all from a fresh venue rarely seen in MMOs. It would just be such a huge wasted opportunuty to not do something amazing with Hideouts; especially since the community really seems to enjoy them.

What's everybody else's thoughts about it?

    ABout the Space Agency:

How exactly is this different than the retro moonbase? It's more white. That's about it. At least that's my impression.

As I said before, the retro moon base isn't even remotely retro feeling. Should be buck rogers or flash gordon (1920s/1930s, not 1980s).

As it is, there really just isn't much of a difference between Space Agency and Retro for the Moonbase. I'm glad I waited for IronMarble to post a very thorough review on Youtube before purchasing. It saved me 500 creds.

Space Agency could be fine though if Retro were actually Retro.

    Hey Tumerboy!

firstly let me praise the work you have done so far! i have bought all of the basic ones, and so far I'm greatly impressed.

I love the sanctum one particularly my current ice build toon uses it. its also so far the only one I've also bought all of the different styles, and if i may critique just one thing, i like the alchemist type sanctum the most, but i would prefer one that had the options to remove the chains with the skeleton cages from the ceilings and the coffins under the stairs.

I'm not saying remove them entirely, I just would like the ability to have two options both with and without them. right now you can remove the coffins from the front area and under the stairs but not from around the wardrobe, but you cannot do so with any of the chains from the bookshelves on the walls, again I'm not saying I hate them, I would prefer a second set of these options without them is all.

i plant to review them all now that they are all out, but this is just my two cent's worth of the one I actually use

The water heater and washer I had intended to include in every version of the tailor area, as reinforcement that it's STILL the basement of a house. . . but I forgot about it when I did the Vigilante basement. . . and it seems people dislike being reminded that it's a basement.

I don't mind that it's a basement, just not always a basement of your mom's house. If we could get some of the other wall options for the stairs, so it's not always the feminine wall paper, I think that would help out.

I think a Vigilante loses some of his scariness when his Vigilante Basement is the basement of his mom's house.

I'd love to have a jail cell with a villain in a corner. Not your Nemesis or anything, just having a jail cell in the corner with a character in:
    Normal hideouts- iron bar cell
    Hi-tech hideouts- laser bar cell
    Mystic hideouts- ancient looking cell???
You could choose that and then inside would be an NPC and you could choose what type of villain. Maybe a similar list to that which you have for Nemesis Henchmen:
    Qularr
    Irradiate
    Bleak One
    Maniac etc.
Yeah, that may have been suggested, I know NPC's have but tried looking through the thread but got lost in the world of suggestions. Cja...

One could liberate an idea from STO, which functions as a two part upgrade to the CC:
    1. Allow full access to contacts from the crime computer, in any zone you've unlocked. Think when Batman uses the Batcomputer in the Batcave to contact Commissioner Gordon, the JL, other independent heroes, etc. The only hiccup would be the 'It's too dangerous to go alone, take this' missions.
    2. Full blown Mission Replay! I want to go fight Kevin Poe as a level 40.

Working showers, hot tub, doors, The penthouse and loft are easily the nicest hideouts you've done. You've set the bar higher.

Suggestions? more. More interaction. What you've done so far is fantastic.

I'd like to be able to lay on the bed. Have some retractable blinds for the windows. would love to have had an enclosed bathroom. Oh.. and an entertainment center. TV and the like

Lastly, a lot of open space that cries out for more stuff :)

    But really really well done.

I have gone through most of the options in the penthouses and here are my thoughts on things I would like to see.

First, the hidden room is a bit barren. I would love an option to have various computer screens with data scrolling across them (like the stuff on the computers in the hi-tech cave crime computer). There also needs to be an archery option for tailor details.

Bookcases and relic displays: I love these options, but I wish there was a loft version of the relic display without all the enclosed stuff that the luxury penthouse gives for it's relic display. Also, I would love to see a different style bookcase (maybe something a bit more traditional).

There needs to be more comic book covers for use in hideouts. There are what, 3 covers total? Some more options there would be great.

I would love to see the minimal kitchen look with a different looking island. Maybe a nice basic butcherblock without the more modern styling.

Overall, the penthouses are incredible. Would just like some stuff to make it more personal to Silver Kitten.

And as long as you're not constantly swapping things, it shouldn't be a big deal.

And I am fully aware that there is some disparity between the penthouses and the previous hideouts. This is a result of working on the penthouse while the other hideouts came out. We tried to work in your feedback, and make sure that this was as awesome as it could be. We also spent more time on this, as it required so many smaller details, and far more options in general.

"First floor - office desk" options seem to have been mixed up like the Mom's basement tubes. Im not even sure which is supposed to be which, but theres at least two of them that have mixed names.

EDIT: I think I found out whats wrong.. Editing the desk type while either in activated or deactivated mode, messes up what desk is visible. You seem to get the activated mode desk visible even though the list lists deactivated mode desks.

I guess the editing window where you choose what desk type you have, doesn't have options for the activated mode at all.

editx2: The problem can be solved by activating and deactivating once, so I guess its not a big problem.

ps. A supergroupie would like an option for firepit but no hottub in her balcony patio. :)
pps. Awesome job with the penthouses as usual, Tumerboy.
