This is more or less for Certified. Are either of those builds what you'd call a leveling build? If not, I can tweak the first one enough, its not that hard to manage from what I'm seeing. I've been trying a TK Blade build and so far like it but it's got almost no survivability the way I have it. Huge damage spikes at low level though, it's pretty crazy.
Basically, all I really ended up doing early on is take EBF after dropping EBW after the Tutorial with the intent to take EBW later for the Heal.
Perhaps not the best choice for durability reasons, I'm thinking.
    Ideas anyone?

These are both intended as leveling builds. However, if you want Frenzy earlier to address multiple opponents I would swap out the lunge picking it up at 17 instead. That said, it's really a question of speed. Ego Blade Weaponry with Siphoning Strikes will let you wade through the henchmen and villains without worrying about Health all too much. Ego Blade Frenzy allows you to mow them down. Because grouping can be difficult I recommend waiting on Frenzy and focusing on the mobility of Swinging + Flippin' and Ego Blade Dash. Also, it doesn't take that long to hit 17 but it does occur generally post West Side so there are some battles towards the end I really think the auto-heal of Siphoning Strikes provides will provide larger benefit.

Let me know. Since there is so much discussion and build requesting in this thread I haven't gone through it thoroughly in a while.

Just put up a revised Psychic Warrior and alternate tank, with minor PBAOE healing variant.

    @Certified
You use in both builds Telepathic Reverberation.
    Shouldn't that be Ego Reverberation?
    Or am i missing something.

I hate to spam this thread with a request, but I honestly dont know much about this sort of build I want to try.

What I am wanting is to make a vampire build, based off plenty of vampiric powers, such as life drains, possible shadow usage etc. Infernal whatever.

The problem with munitions is that the attacks are fairly weak damage-wise. So normally to get the damage to a semi-acceptable level, you SS Dex and Ego for wonderful crits. I suppose your Rec/Int superstats could make up for this somewhat by being able to run Gatling longer, but it's still going to be somewhat weak. Rec/Int is good for energy-hungry PA powers, which can be run all at the same time.

But to answer your question, you can go a few routes to add defense to your Targetting Computer build:
    - Dodge: Evasive Maneuvers, Lead Tempest+adv, Dragon Kick+adv, Swinging+adv
    - Inertial Dampening Field
    - Active Defenses (your SS Int will help the cooldowns)

The first thing that comes to mind if you want to add some thunder to your lightning would be the sonic device from the gageteering set. Adds some extra damage to the already impressive lighting attacks of electrical.

Basically, what you're asking for is a Beastial Supernatural build that includes devour essence from Infernal Supernatural, and a few darkness powers, (my favorites include Shadow Embrace, Void Shift, and Summon Shadows). If you want to flesh things out a bit, you can take Command Animals to reflect how some vampires can summon animals to fight for them.

A nice combination is taking the Phlebotomist advantage to devour essence that increases the healing it deals if you use it on a bleeding target.

The Furor Venenum advantage to Bite may also be appropriate, as it "infects" a target you bite, and can enrage you if they're bleeding.

Form of the Swordsman grants stacks of Focus when you apply a bleed, which gives a damage bonus and grants you energy. This is only for melee attacks, but most of your attacks will be melee, so this will work well.

    Level 9: Shooter
    Level 12: Academics
    Level 15: Covert Ops Training
    Level 18: Brilliant
    Level 21: Field Ops Training

Dexterity's bonuses have heavy diminishing returns, so focus on just keeping it at the soft-cap for each level range, which is around +32% damage (200 total at level 40). Keep Intelligence at a level in which it will reach that same cap with Aucacity triple-stacked (~150 at level 40), and try to keep your Ego roughly equal to your Intelligence. Focus on putting the rest in Constitution, but Recovery can also be useful for alpha strikes as well as stronger energy building, and Presence can be useful for stronger Bountiful Chi Resurgence heals as well as lower threat in PvE teams. Endurance will always be outpaced by Intelligence for you.
Due to the reliance on Dodge this build has, it is extremely valuable to have a +Dodge/Avoidance upgrade item equipped.

The advantages Crippling Challenge and Nailed to the Ground are only necessary if you intend to PvP, but in that case they truly are necessary.

Use Two Gun Mojo to build Enrage, which will improve both Bullet Beatdown and Lead Tempest. This is typically unnecessary against weaker enemies, which you will just tear through, but can be a real help against bosses or other players.
Bullet Beatdown and Lead Tempest should each be used to tear apart groups while simultaneously defending yourself (because of Parry's Elusive Monk and Lead Tempest's Tread Softly). Bullet Beatdown is better used on tight groups if you have Enrage up, otherwise use Lead Tempest which has a fairly incredible max range. Also use Bullet Beatdown against melee targets for heavy damage + defense.
Not Without Incident is actually a superior damage boost for Bullet Beatdown than an extra rank under any circumstance, due to the fact that the AoE effect counts as an entirely separate attack and also hits the primary target. Even against a single target without Enrage it will be better.

Lock N' Load can be very good mixed with Lead Tempest to quickly wipe out a massive group of enemies, though Lock N' Load also helps greatly to take down tougher individual enemies.
The Two Smoking Barrels advantage only takes effect on each attack activation rather than each actual hit of the attack, meaning that a full Bullet Beatdown combo will only reduce the cooldown 4 times, rather than the 7 or so it would otherwise be, for a total of 8 seconds. It is still a very solid choice, and invaluable to allow Lock N' Load to be up more often against tougher enemies.

Inexorable Tides can be used to keep people off of you and disabled in melee, even tight groups of enemies, and can be a good lead-in for Bullet Beatdown. It can also be used to interrupt charged powers.

Holdout Shot is a great finisher for a Bullet Beatdown combo, since it will often leave you drained enough of energy for the extra damage and lower cost to trigger. Holdout Shot is capable of some amazing and dirt-cheap damage, so try to set it up often by blowing through energy.

Breakaway Shot can be used while Rooted to get some distance from enemies, or to escape quickly if an enemy is charging a Point-blank Area Attack (marked by the red circle over their head).
Breakaway Shot can also be a good lead-in for fights, since it does a fair amount of AoE damage and applies a nice damage reduction effect. If you start by leaping into the center of a group and activating it mid-air, you'll fly higher up rather than further away, since your targets will be beneath you.
Breakaway Shot has a high cost, and can also be effectively followed up with Holdout Shot, especially since Holdout Shot can be activated before you even hit the ground after flipping away, and looks awesome. This is especially effective if you used Breakaway Shot to open a fight, since you'll almost always be left with low enough energy to trigger Holdout Shot's extra damage.

Between Killer Instinct and Form of the Master, you'll gain a large amount of energy whenever you critical or dodge, both of which will be happening very frequently, so energy is not a large issue.
Form of the Master will also massively improve the damage of Bullet Beatdown and Inexorable Tides when you have Focus built up.

Bountiful Chi Resurgence, due to high Intelligence, can be double-stacked a little over one-third of the time by activating it whenever it's off cooldown in a fight. Double-stacking it is a massive benefit; not only will it trigger twice every second rather than once, but I believe it will trigger twice on every dodge as well.
Storm's Eye Prana may seem like a good advantage for Form of the Master to let you stack BCR even easier, but the way it works makes it only capable of at most ever cutting the cooldown in half. Super Intelligence will already allow you to maintain two stacks pretty often, and the nature of Storm's Eye Prana makes it less effective the lower the base recharge on BCR is. 3 Advantage points just isn't worth a potential reduction of perhaps 4 seconds, 6 at most.
Between Bountiful Chi Resurgence with Resurgent Reiki and Form of the Master, Masterful Dodge will give you 15 seconds of God Mode out of every minute, with nearly limitless health and energy, and almost immediately giving you a full 8-stack of Focus for massive melee damage.
Extra ranks in Masterful Dodge are complete overkill, and unnecessary.

Dual Blades is so strong that it's one of the most forgiving power sets to level. I've half-jokingly told people that playing DB is as simple as taking Dragon's Wrath, Sword Cyclone, and rolling your face across the keyboard.

    That's half-joking. It's not completely untrue.

For a fully offensive build, Taking Dex/Int with Quarry and Form of the Tempest will have you non-stop Sword Cycloning your way across the map. Not much more needs to be said about this, it's really simple and you can't fail with it.

Defensively, my DB character uses Dex/Int with Lightning Reflexes. I use Molecular Self-Assembly from Gadgets, and I use my lunge to trigger it. If there are multiple mobs I Cyclone, if it's a single mob I use Dragon's Wrath. I solo on elite and rarely have to use Bountiful Chi Resurgence. It's there if I need it, but I barely ever use it, even during most boss fights. It's just that strong of a set.

The change to Lock n' Load is a minor nerf to most DB builds that were using it, but it's easily worked around by simply going Dex/Int instead of Dex/Ego. Damage is somewhat lower, but you'll hardly even notice. Nothing in the single player PvE game should pose a threat to a Dual Blader.

For most of the life of the game LnL with advantage wasnt a significant part of many DB builds (that I saw). It came into prominence a few months before the nerf after a couple of players pointed out its efficacy here on the forums. Of course it proliferated quickly from there.

The reality of the matter is that DB was extraordinarily effective before LnL w/adv was discovered, and still is.

i agree. i've never once used it on my DB as i felt it didn't really fit her concept, and she still trivializes most encounters.

I recently made a funny little build and thought I'd share it, as it's rather different in some ways. It's a themed rp build around Munitions and Telepathy

First of, it's a dual passive / dual role PvE build, it will for sure not be as effective as pure builds or min maxed builds. It's also not a leveling build and requires a retcon at some point or the other (best at 35 when you get IDF or at least after you get Lead Tempest at 29)

Munitions & Telepathy Dual Role Tank / Support

    Superstats:
    Level 6: Super Dexterity
    Level 13: Super Presence

Equip for Dex and Pre to softcap at ~200, get a good part in End as well (~100) and split everything else between Ego (the big remaining bunch) and Int.

If you manage to have a secondary equip for the Healer part, you might want to lower Ego a little bit and put some more into Int and Rec.

With a mix between Yellow, Green and Blue equip I'm getting to 206 Dex, 194 Pre, 71 Ego and 93 End, Con is at 33, Rec 15 and Int at 29 and Str at 10. Thats unbuffed and with LR as passive, not in sentinel with AoPM

Runs in protector or Sentinel, depending on role.

    Powers:
    Level 1: Gunslinger
    Level 1: Assault Rifle
    Level 6: Killer Instinct
Level 6: Jet Boots (or any other travel power) -- Rank 3
    Level 8: Lightning Reflexes -- Rank 3
Level 11: Force Shield -- Rank 3, Force Sheathe
    Level 14: Lock N' Load -- Rank 3
Level 17: Bountiful Chi Resurgence -- Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki
Level 20: Aura of Primal Majesty -- Rank 3
    Level 23: Psionic Healing -- Rank 3
Level 26: Mindful Reinforcement -- Rank 2, Revitalizing Boost
Level 29: Lead Tempest -- Rank 2, Tread Softly, Challenging Strikes
    Level 32: Masterful Dodge
    Level 35: Inertial Dampening Field
Level 35: Teleport (choose your second travel power)
    Level 38: Resurrection Serum

    Talents:
    Level 1: Quick Trigger
    Level 6: Finesse
    Level 9: Shooter
    Level 12: Coordinated
    Level 15: Accurate
    Level 18: Showmanship
    Level 21: Diplomatic

What do I use this build for? It's mostly intended as a group tank build with a lot of versatility. We normally have a lot of DPS chars in our groups, as such the build leaves doing damage to others. It can however tank as well as heal rather decently, filling both roles depending on what is really necessary for the group.
To give a short list of facts about the build in its current form.

.) Can be a decent tank or decent support char
.) Simple to play, not a lot of stacking or power routines to worry about
.) No need to switch between melee and ranged combat, the build is entirely around ranged
.) No worries about targeting a lot, get close to the bad ones and just aoe everything around you
.) Very forgiving to player mistakes. Forgot to hit a key? Your heal not running? Don't worry you have so much extra heals and defense that it's not a problem
.) HoT's damage shield and Force Sheathe balance out the incoming damage really well, even if you get caught in holds and other ccs
.) Rather low damage, even for a tank character, you can solo content, but it takes time, teaming up with at least one DPS char is recommended
.) Limited on stats a little bit, as the build has to split it's stats for tank as well as healing.
.) Can get energy problems if someone cripples your blocking, as your blocks are your main energy income.
    .) Not a PvP build

    A power breakdown:

Gunslinger: thematic energy builder. you might consider radiance as energy builder, to avoid getting into energy issues when you are in sentinel role and healing and you don't want to risk shooting an enemy with your EB

Assault Rifle: really just a filler power to get to the next tier, as theres not much else to choose that fit's my theme

Killer Instincts: crits for energy on a dex build. doesn't sound that bad to me and it's one of the few energy unlocks that with the limited amount of powers and to reach higher tiers that you can get without needing another power for a synergy and without something drastically theme breaking

Lightning Reflexes and Bountiful Chi Resurgence with the Resurgent Reiki Adv.: The builds main portion of the actual synergy tank. You dodge a lot and the more you dodge, the more you heal. Overall nothing special really and well proven at length before. On top of it with Inertial Dampening Field, to lower the incoming minion damage as Lightning Reflexes can get issues with lots of minions this is a rather solid basis.

Force Shield is another of the main pillars of this build. Most of all it provides you with loads and loads of energy, because with the Force Sheathe adv. you can literally constantly block, by just tapping the shield and then going on. It works really well with Lightning Reflexes to balance out spike damage and make this otherwise low health build less squishy.

Lead Tempest: Your main attack. Filled up with Challenging Strikes it's also your threat generation aoe. With the high Pre, there's not much that will not run to you, even without stacking threat generation. Be mindful of the high miss chance when the enemies are too far away though. You might want to switch Tread Softly for Rank 3, as you have an awful amount of stacked defense already.

Lock N' Load and Masterful Dodge are your active offense and active defense clickies. I rarely ever use them, because I'm a lazy person, but they definitely have their use.

Mindful Reinforcement, Psionic Healing and Aura of Primal Majesty are mostly for my secondary role, although in a tight situation, an extra damage and healing shield can always be handy even for the tank side. I choose the Telepathy powers over the other heals for one main reason. While in tank role, you will have rather unlimited energy through blocking, a sentinel rarely blocks at all. These Telepathy heals, second as energy gains and while they don't necessarily give you an awful amount of energy, they give you a rather decent bit without interrupting to heal. The passive is a choice because it significantly increases your stats, including, Int, End and Rec, making it even easier to hold your energy in Sentinel role.
Especially when you have a secondary set of gear, Aura of Radiant Protection or Seraphim are surely good choices as well, depending a lot on how you play and how your other power choices are going to be.

Oh and Resurrection Serum, is just that last power .. take what you feel you want. A lunge might be nice to quickly get to the enemies before blasting them. An initial pull like sniper rifle might be nice, pets might be nice, a hold might be nice .. many things .. choose what you prefer.

I tested it with a full room of 5 player Hard in the powerhouse and it didn't really have any issues there. I will add a vid when I find the time to record it.

    Level 12: Healthy Mind
    Level 15: Tireless
    Level 18: Quick Recovery
    Level 21: Body And Mind

It's built to last, is good for leveling, dishes out dmg, takes dmg, and is thematic to boot. Runs in Guardian.

Normal battles goes something like this: Void Shift, Fear everything, Arc of Ruin to take out lower levels, Eruption+ Annihilate for biggest enemy, and the mob is usually dead by this point. If you think the method wont work, you can always pop in with Void Shift, pop Ebon Rift to proc Agressor and benefit from SpiritReverb, and proceed to take out whatever is left standing.

Resurgeance, IDF, Agressor, and Enrage are all pretty self-explanatory. Also, the case has been made to switch SpiritReverb for MSA, which I'm currently testing. But looking through, you have Resurge, Enrage, Void Shift, Eruption, and Ebon Rift all on cooldowns. If you were to gear INT high enough, then MSA would be another great choice instead of SpiritReverb.

Color everything dark blue/purple, pick up Darkspeed or keep using teleport, and you have yourself the much asked-for Shadowblade build. :D

    EDIT

I'll go ahead and toss in the Agent Orange build as well :D

    Level 9: Indomitable
    Level 12: Agile
    Level 15: Martial Training
    Level 18: Coordinated
    Level 21: Academics

Keep Aspect running at all times, roll in Avenger. Pop BCR+Dodge/Manuevers when you need to heal, or Bionic if you get a chance (I usually pop that before I start attacking). Other than that, tap block, hit Lock and Load, and let loose with whatever you feel like. Aspect+Pestilence garauntees the mobs will be hurting, Evasive and Breakway get you out of melee range. If you want to stay in melee range, Submachine Burst garauntees a a stack of bleed as well. Maintain Gatling Gun and you get enraged for whatever is left.

The build crits like mad and deals super damage. All you really need to worry about is staying healed and keeping Sheathe up between attacks. I colored Aspect and Pestilence orange...hence then name. :D

After much debate, I am posting this request here to get some advice on a free form build for my sort of gadget character.

Right now I use an electric form, lightning arc, spark storm, sonic device, munibot, support drone build that is SS Int and End. Basically, all technology. He is supposed to be a support semi-nonviolent mild manored type. This build has no problems anywhere at level 28. Lightning arc and spark storm takes care of about everything. My trusty bots hold the field, while I use bionic shielding and IDF to support my team or for solo content.

I want to retcon to a true gadget toon with Pulse Particle Rifle and other new gadget powers, but am very undecided on what passive to choose. Should I go AoPM and ss DEX and PRE? Stay lightning arc and an offensive passive in avenger?

Anyone out there have builds like this?

Avengers are lousy at team support. Decide what you want to do. For straight damage, Electric Form and the new Pulse Beam Rifle with some sort of Dex build is pretty great.

However, AoPM in Guardian is the best setup I've found to hybrid as DPS and team support. Dex/Pre or Ego/Pre, it's hard to go wrong. It's not going to do as much damage as an offensive passive in Avenger. It can do respectable dps though.

This tank can handle any tanking situation as well as keep the bad guy's attention. Mine has END for primary utility for a adequate pool of energy, and STR gear in the primary offence slot for knock back resistance, and of course CON foe defense. The Mini Gun is a 100 ft Challenging Strikes pull with debuff and works well with pulling mobs. Also Crippling Challenge with defensive combo generates tons of threat. (Thx S. Prime). You will have plenty of heals and the Field Surge is the "OH S#!+" button and can be easily replaced with Masterful Dodge. Ego Storm offers awesome crowd control with Telepathic Reverberation giving you energy and making it possible to hold it for a full maintain.Havoc Stomp offers great crowd control as well as applying Challenging Strikes. Note that is build is very low on DPS and would be a slow solo (Even tho it isn't that bad with Mini Gun's debuff and Havoc Stomp.

I fought you earlier today, that build's pretty fun to duel against. I was actually really happy that you were a dual blader that didn't resort to dragon's wrath spam, but still felt like I was fighting a dual blader.

Actually, it's ironic. A variation of the build I fought you with is what I was about to post. You actually helped me optimize a bit, so thanks :D.

This isn't a leveling build, it really isn't usable till 17, preferably 26. I'm including a leveling build to putz with until then, and swap from later, that still feels a bit like the original does by the end. The concept I was going with is twofold: 1, to make a build that really strongly utilizes the implosion engine, without risking it getting popped by mobs because it's got a health bar for some dumb reason. This works very well as a power-armor themed character, if you're looking for effective but not wanting to break concept.

    Level 21: Energetic

    the nuts and bolts:

This build is fairly tanky, I've off tanked pretty frequently with it, and regularly hang as the last player in zombie apocalypse pvp. You'll do better at that, however, if you drop the IDF for another active defense, and put the ranks from imbue in that. I suggest resurgence. It's also really solid dps, especially in an aoe. This can be expanded on by swapping IDF for ego surge, and dropping the extra points from imbue into the nimble mind advantage. Obviously, if you plan on swapping out, leave the imbue points at the end of when you spend your points, right behind inertial dampening field. You want them at the top of the list.

    The dps:

This build is a HUGE alpha strike. You can maintain solid dps, but it really shines when you're dropping it in a crowd and flattening everyone. Keep at a range, and hit lock n load. Trigger imbue. drop an orbital cannon, then toss in an implosion engine. run in, hit ego storm to lock the enemy in place, then hit nanobots. drop another orbital cannon. a quick burst with mini gun (literally a half a second) and a tap of chest beam to debuff damage resistance, then maintain your energy builder to keep the ego storm going, occasionally cycling mini gun and chest beam to keep debuffs up. This *melts* crowds. While you're waiting for the engine to recharge, you can use the ego storm to hold crowds while the orbital cannon charges, and debuff them with the gun and beam. Unless they fixed it, and clarification on this would be awesome, the imbue should trigger for the first 4 things you drop for the alpha strike. That doesn't tickle. Although, it's pretty darn funny to take into elite serpent lantern 5 man and have someone pull threat. This build takes big groups from vaguely intimidating to looking a lot like something tasty to chew on.

    The drawbacks:

This can strip aggro from anything. That alpha gets a lot of attention, anything that survives it is coming for you unless your tank is REALLY on point. The defenses are layered; IDF and invuln can take a hell of a beating and I threw in a few heals over time and a defense to mitigate it, but be prepared to block for a second or 2 until your storm comes back up, if you get overwhelmed. As well, there's a bit of a cooldown involved in this build, when your cannon is still recharging. your dps will drop when this happens. The kind of damage you'll throw out overall very much so makes up for this fact, but be prepared for moments when you're kinda just putzing and debuffing stuff, waiting for your cooldowns to end.

Pretty typical debuffer power armor, it's survivable and throws good dps. nothing else to say, really. 1 swipe of the sword, a tap of the chest beam, then mini-gun and concussor beams to burn down the biggest thing in the pack, and his henchmen.

The concept I was going with is twofold: 1, to make a build that really strongly utilizes the implosion engine, without risking it getting popped by mobs because it's got a health bar for some dumb reason. This works very well as a power-armor themed character, if you're looking for effective but not wanting to break concept.

    the nuts and bolts:

The kind of damage you'll throw out overall very much so makes up for this fact, but be prepared for moments when you're kinda just putzing and debuffing stuff, waiting for your cooldowns to end.

as for the leveling build before this? here:

Level 1: Laser Sword -- Particle Acceleration
    Level 6: Invulnerability -- Rank 3, Rank 2
    Level 6: Jet Boots
    Level 8: Mini Gun -- U-238 Rounds
    Level 11: Bionic Shielding -- Rank 2
    Level 14: Concussor Beam -- Rank 3, Rank 2

    Level 12: Healthy Mind
    Level 15: Enduring
    Level 18: Brilliant
    Level 21: Energetic

Pretty typical debuffer power armor, it's survivable and throws good dps. nothing else to say, really. 1 swipe of the sword, a tap of the chest beam, then mini-gun and concussor beams to burn down the biggest thing in the pack, and his henchmen.
I am posting to make taco feel better about himself. -Insightful comment here- A very nice build. I like the way you combined -power- and -power-. Taco is king of builds.

This is not a power oriented build, but more a Theme base build. You like cowboy, dress like one and use this build.

The wolf summon is more for the actual dog who always follow the lone ranger! The Howl is more for when the Cowboy listen into the nigh, then he try it on opponent to se if it work also.

Lead Tempest is a killer.. You dont need anything else when you are surrounded, just use it and kill.

The shotgun is not the best skill, but used correctly can be a killer and also he empty your energy for the Holdout shot.

The healing is there just to make the build usable, but can be replace by other stuff.

You might need to put some gear into EGO to get good crit, some Endurance, but not that much, and INT and DEX like all other say!

You can also use a more Fallout style and change all Dual gun skill by Rifle skill.

As I said, I have yet to retcon. My current build utilizes Int and Rec as super stats, I currently run Electric Shield with Electric Vengance as the block, and instead of Enrage as above, I have Gigabolt, and still not entirely sure what to put as my level 38 power or as my second travel power (just went with teleport for the 'coolness' factor). Energy isn't an issue, I'm PvE DPS based, and the pets do a decent job of keeping me alive.

    Any suggestions?

I tried this build - I like it so far, but is there a reason you don't SS Ego? Don't we get bonus damage based off our EGO stat? If I decided to go Ego instead of Int, what would change on this build? Thanks for the help.

The bonus Damage a TK character gets from Ego caps at 70 Ego.

To be honest, with the changed to the TK set I would recommend EGO as a SS. Now that Ego Form provides an energy discount for TK powers, and that TK has an energy unlock that scales off of Ego, it is much more palatable.

Greetings all. I've adopted a previously posted build the all-time favourite DualBlade and added a few lines to it for ppl who are somewhat but a loner no matter they play in a team or solo.

    Concept:

    Malakai the blade of Balance
is a creature of demented neutrality, with powers from several sides >coughs< Mostly counting on his supernatural dexterity and melee skills but since he is a born genious and enchanted with mass amount of light/shadow based powers he can sometimes play as ranged-or a noobish supporter... and usually seen to teleport from mob to mob finishing whatever left after a team. Capable of doing the work of a full team. While slicing himself threw the knot of Gordius and big pile o trash, he can still use the shots form the moon base giant laser of death (aka orbital cannon) with just calling orbital strike from above. Based on dual blading so its serious dps, BUT -can Tank pretty mutch anything. Just with the basic build I can easily solo quite like anything. (elite serp-,demonflame-, resistance-, or even aftershock -true I never tried to solo elite-therakiel or so, but yes I'm able to farm darkspeeds alone)

    Level 40 Champion

    Superstats:
    Level 6: Super Dexterity
    Level 13: Super Intelligence

    Powers:
Level 1: Force Bolts -- Energy Refraction
    Level 1: Rebuke --
or Cleave ( r2, defensive stance for tank)

Level 6: Force Shield -- Force Sheath (or +r2 for tank)
Level 6: Travel power 1 (Swinging -- Flippin'
    Level 8: Void Shift --
(for pvp: --nailed to the ground, crippling challenge-)

    Level 11: Lightning Reflexes -- Rank 3, Rank 2
Level 14: Form of the Tempest or Form of the Master ( +prana)
Level 17: Bountiful chi Resourgence -- resourgent reiki, Rank 2
Level 20: Eye Of The Storm -- Blade Beyond The Veil, Rank 2
(crippling challenge instead of r2 for tank)

    Level 23: Dragon's Wrath -- Tiger's Courage, Rank 2
    Level 26: Masterful dodge
Level 29: Force cascade-- Rank 3, Rank 2, (if tank pick any other power like Inertial Dampening shield or Bionic Shielding).
Level 32: Ascension - I use Rank 3 Rank2 -(Or lock n Load with 2 smokin barrels, or ego Surge with nimble Mind )
Level 35: Electric Sheath -- Matter energy union (or Molecular self assembly)
Level 35: Travel Power 2 (Flight or Jetboots )
Level 38: Orbital Cannon-- Rank 2, Anvil of Dawn
-or pick anything else what fits your concept or waht you felt your weakest side) .

    Talents:
    Shooter
    Academics
    Coordinated
    Jack of all trades
    Diplmatic
    Body And Mind
    Covert Ops Tr.
    Sureshot

Runs in guardian (unless you wanna be a protector for "tanking")
Gear on: dex>iq>ego>str : put one dodge+avoidance item on defense slot
aim for ~230dex, ~150 iq, ~130-150 EGO, rest can go to str, consti or whatever you feel your weakpart.

    Defensive powers:4
    (with Rebuke)

-R: Rebuke to save yourself from some probz, or to heal out your tank or any teammember when your healer is sleeping or a noob (note: with no presence this is minor heal prank, but saved life dozens of time, you can pick Cleave instead of this and than u will have a power what is capable of givin you 1 stack of enrage and 1 stack of defiant -both can be useful)
-LR: after hours of math n testing its proven to be a LOT more survivable with LR than Invulnerability on a dex ter. Simple as that.
-MD: an ohshit button: godmode for a few sec.: usually more than enough to fill up your whole HP bar
-BcR: for more health. If you dont take form of the Master, you may pick, bcr OR support drones/bionic shielding/resourgence/palatine aswell insteead of this power. each has its advantage.

    Offensive powers:4 (without Cleave)

(-C : cleave in groupmode there are pretty mutch use of its defensive stance, plus its kewl to swing a huge weapon -remember that this or rebuke you have to pick. )
-VS: Well any rush powa could fill this spot, I just use VS cause the free stun effect on it and to animate the dark side. If you never pvp dont put the nailed on it.- but if you want this setup to work in pvp/duels than put the nailed and the crippling on the shift and see your enemas fall down from eir high horse)
-DW: bosskiller, shiledbuster, and stabby feelin'
-FC: all-in aka: Alpha strike. use it under the effect of an energy form to make it cheaper.- or swap it for chest beam to debuff your enemy and raise your dps.
-Orbital cannon: yeah the canon form the clouds: massive damage if you have gear on EGO as 3rd stat ( I have 130 atm and works pretty fine with 4-5k crits), plus it fits for the theme.

    Balance in both powers:8

-FB: force bolts. builds shield, chance with knockback +ranged energybuilder.
-FS: force shield.simple blocker with a longened effect, you can put a rank 2 on it if your tank is a noob and you end up tanking most instances
-Travel power 1: f.e.: Swinging: For more dodge and stuff with "flippin')
-FoTT or FotM: useful, but if you are a tank pick Form of the Master (its the same but gives energy n focus on dodge not on the crit-and if you put a storms eye prana on this than you can use the BcR a lot more often- so again : you could become a db tank -woot?- FoTT for focus from crits, FotM for focus from dodge and reduced cd on BcR. I personally prefer tempest, but according to mat the master is a lot more powerful form for this char.)
-EoS: swordswirlin' good one.-Defensive offense. The best for someone who is true neutral".
-A: ascension: can be used as defensive and offensive energy form- so no matter you want to fly, you want to heal a bit bigger, but also grants you damage bonus, and you will shoot it out with the force cascade. I needed it to compensate the darkness in my char. u can put LnL with 2 smokin barrles or whatever here.
-ES: again like asce: With the talent its more balanced than any other power you may have in this setup. Also grants you a fair energy regen speed, and defends you form attacks for a time. Plus yep you will shoot it out with the cascade anyways. Keep it and switch ascension for LnL if you want lnl in your powers.
-Travel power2:Fly or jetboots: just to fly or store your char up in da air.

all in all: (4xdef+4xoff)=8 8+8xbalanced=16powers overall (looks fine unless I miscalculated somethin'

    Usual combat scene and rota:

1:Rebuke for energy or tap Ascension for louder canon. (Rebuke/Asce)
2:Orbital cannon on the biggest baddest idiot, or just the middle of the pack o' da mobsters. Ah and be at max distance just to win a few seconds for your charge(Oc)
3:Standard charge:Click on BcR or if you dont wanna nerf your dps/sure that you wont get hammered down by the aggroed 3-4packs of mobs, or click on your Masterful dodge, or skip the defensive opening and go to next . (BcR/MD or 4.)
4: Jump up in da air than fall down with a Voidshift with stunning the highguy of the band. remember to press on Block for a moment before pressing the VS. if you made it well, orbital cannon just strikes down with you. (Jump, Block than voidshift in eir face, after landing tap block than tap Ascension if not did it already).
5: While you are still affected with ascension you can press on BcR/MD just start to swirl your blades and maintain it for the half of the chargebar. ( block, BcR than EoS )
6: If you were good you are again on full or close to full energy and still have asce on you so press a Force Cascade just to shoot out the remaining seconds of your Asce form. (FC) if somehow you were slow or have no energy than just stab the bigone with a DW (DW)
7: If there is anything alive- means you are in an elite adventure, and you are still undamaged):
7a: press a masterful dodge or Bcr (if happens to have any prob) if not go to 7b. (MD/Bcr or 7b)
7b: press on Electro Sheath, (ES)
7c:Charge as usually or Oc (OC)
7d: jump in the air backwards, than voidshift to the face of your foes (jumpback block VS)
    7e: swirl your blades (Eos)
7f: sthoot out the remaining seconds of ES with a fresh cascade (block than FC)

If anything left, repeat from 1, or spam: DW, block, EOS, block, OC, while checkin the cooldown on all of your nuker energy forms, and defensive pranks.

-If you let your energy builder reach your enemas once in a few second than 1:they may be knockedback, 2: you may get an additional shielding effect what prevents even more damage from you.

-If in trouble and have no "ohhshats" left: u still have Rebuke (with Ascension, tapped block + or BcR whats up in ever 10-12th sec...)
-If you want face2face damage: spam DW or charged DWs
-If you want more aoe: for close mobz just swirl your blades since its defense n offens at the same time, aganist ranged targets : if you have time charge the OC, if you have high energy: charge cascade if you have none, just voidshift and swirl the shinies.

I hope ya'll like it. Or if not swap anything for your pleasure. Blade of Balance. Over

Weaponry is there for the Dodge tanks, Annihilation for nasty 13k spikes, and Frenzy to mop up trash and apply roots liberally. Maelstrom's stun is useful, but it's main purpose is to apply Leech quickly. The rest should be fairly self-explanatory. If you're PvE'ing this build will be overkill for a lot of what you'll run into. When PvP'ing, it's important to remember this build's a killer, not a fighter. Get in, spike, get out (that's what Sleight of Mind is for).

Hello there, I have some inquiries on a couple of themed builds, prefferably of the leveling variety.

One is a Lightning/Matrial arts mix, with a bit of ranged firepower and some melee of course.

And the second is an Earth-Themed Haeavy weapons char. I guess This one is sort of harder to do since it would just be using any random power that could have rocks or earth-shattering animations tied to them.

Other than those two themes, I do preffer chars that can take a hit or two. Soloing AP types, that is.

great fun with Buck-Buck the Electric Toad

best results if you retcon at lvl 14 or later to get 'Lightning Storm' which will be your mass murder power of choice, then later 'Gigabolt' for hard hitting the single targets.

Run in 'Avenger' role, Gear for END/REC/CON/Pre

loads of energy for loong storms. guaranteed to raise a big smile. :D
