Please post tailor specific feedback and suggestions here.
When making suggestions please be as specific as possible. "Add all of X" is not very informative.


Please refrain from suggesting the following as they are not in the scope of this update:
  • Anything pertaining to scales and sliders.
  • Porting gender locked costumes to the other gender.
  • New costumes.
  • Anything pertaining to missing cloth/leather/metal materials on costumes. This is something that's being addressed over time.
  • Anything pertaining to special materials like ghost/shadow/etc. These will be added as seen fit.

    Would it be possible to have a Full Face Mask category which contains things like the Kabuki masks, Luchador, gas masks etc - this would perhaps free up the headwear channel and allow the use of hats with gas masks etc

    Also should the Hands main tab be renamed Arms perhaps?​​

    1: As Eiledon said, make it so that we can use masks and hats/hoods together by splitting them into sperate cats.
    2: Extended sliders allowing for more extremes on the sliders would allow for a much more diverse creation experance [for example, expand the heigh slider to go down to say 3ft and up to 9ft]
    3: Update the search function so that you can actually find costume pieces which are not from a set/default ones

    if these three things were in the update to begin with it would have felt more like a big update and less like "cleaning up the tailor"

    I'd strongly advocate for making hoods their own thing.

    A lot of existing headwear could also stand to be mirrored into eye accessories, like the kabuki masks.

    I SECOND the exlusive Full Mask category! or make duplicate of the masks into eye accessories categories(the key word is duplicate, i dont wait to lose my Plague Mask + Jack Fool bird combo)

    What if I want to use Gas Mask or Gas Mask 2 or Nephelim Mask from the dreaded Face Mask & Armor category + Top Hat! Fancy isnt it?

    and as eiledon said, Kabuki masks, Plague doctor mask and many more would benefit from this category!
    They have no reason to be Head Wear right now​​

    You could always do a:

    Head Wear A & B
    Eye Accessory A & B
    Mouth Accessory A & B

    Etc...

    I would most like to see a second "mouth accessory" selector so that two different facial hair styles can be mixed. (Mouth Accessory A/B).

    I would also like to see the fourth colour selector box work on mouseover instead of requiring a click. The other 3 color selectors behave entirely different from the fourth one.

    I'd like a preview of a saved costume to display next to the "load/save" interface when a costume is selected, so it can be quickly viewed without loading it -- the preview is already stored in the costume file, isn't it? The ability to delete unwanted saves (with a confirmation box) would be great. Perhaps the ability to select and delete multiple saves via checkbox, too (like Star Trek Online's multi-message mail deleter).

    The ability to import only the body & face sliders from a saved costume, while keeping your current costume pieces intact.

    There are a few badly fitting pieces available now. And while it's always nice to have options that you can use creatively, some are just overly weird. I'll just post the badly fitting ones I find but if any should be really removed is open to debate.

    - Eye Accessories>1,2,3,4,8 eyes.
    - Head>Tights & Skins>Eye Accessories>Helmet Font Place, Helmet Goggles, Helmet Goggles Bubble, Helmet Goggles Large, Helmet Goggles Winged, Helmet Visor.
    - Head>Tights & Skins>Mouth Accessories>Gas Mask Insect, Mandibles Gigantic, Mandibles Long, Mandibles Short, Helmet Protector, Helmet Ventilator, Helmet Gas Mask.

    Suggestion:
    Add a normal torso/leg option to the mechanical categories. That clips of course, but can also make interesting combinations and is already available for a limited selection of arms/legs on live.

    It would be great to be able to use the Belts category when using Hips Wear and Gear selected (if this has already been fixed with the new supercreator then just ignore this).

    Many of the goggles, etc under Eye Accesory get distorted by mood setting on male toons, but fortunately not on female toons. Is there any way to turn this problem off on male toons?

    I totally support the other poster who asked for double Mouth Accessory....... at least for Beards/Moustaches.

    The Emblem Insignias are a slightly different colour tone to the typical colours. Could this be fixed so that they follow the same colour rules as other pieces?

    I am liking the way that there are different materials for some of the newer stuff, however i would like to see more materials with some of the stuff you have already come out with. like the shinier metal like from cosmic. and ghost and psionic. even shadow parts. hands have no such materials as of yet. This forum is a great idea. would suggest we do this more often.

    Can we get skin materials like metal for locations other than head/hands/feet? Our metal-bodied characters sometimes want to wear a halter top or shorts, and it just looks weird to have regular skin on the torso and legs when the hands/feet/head are metallic.

    Using metal tights in the same color as skin works sometimes as a workaround, but it denies a number of costume options that need to use the tights layer, and it doesn't work for every skin color.

    There are currently three separate capes labeled "Spartan Cape", as well as three named "Spartan Cape Brooch", each of which is offers a slightly different design, based around its use with specific clothing options. I would suggest changing these to:

    "Spartan Cape Flared"
    "Spartan Cape Bold"
    "Spartan Cape"

    and

    "Spartan Cape Brooch Flared"
    "Spartan Cape Brooch Bold"
    "Spartan Cape Brooch"

    Similarly you could change "Cape Brooch" to:

    "Cape Brooch Bold"
    "Cape Brooch"

    I'm anticipating and at the same time dreading when this update goes live, because it's going to make my costumes even better, but it also means I may have to redesign like 500 characters.

    I'd like the jackets to be an upper body "clothing" layer, like on the lower body. This would allow you to use another part as chest wear in addition to the jacket. For example a trench coat (clothing) with a bulletproof vest (chest wear). Another way of doing this would just be to have "chest wear A" and "chest wear B" like others are suggesting. Layers A and B of pretty much anything would be amazing.

    It would be really neat to have all the standing poses for all genders as well, recently you added Beast and Huge Beast, but it would be nice to have all of them for both. Plus, girls need more face detail sliders like guys have. Guys should get a second lip slider similar to the female mouth slider as well, to make different shaped lips. Just add more sliders in general (Left arm, right arm.)

    I noticed the "partial" section for the head that lets you remove the head, why not add "partial" sections to every section so you can remove torsos, legs and arms as well? Simply have a "none" part for the torso, legs, hands and feet as well. I don't see why it's okay to remove the head but other parts are a no-go. I need to make a Japanese ghost and you can't get rid of her feet no matter what you do, darn it!

    It would also be really cool to be able to fire a flame or ice beam out of a handgun or lightning out of a heavy weapon or something similar.

    Also, I'd like to have at least cloth, leather and metal materials for all items.

    Is it possible to allow the Laser Sword powers to actually make use of the shared list of weapon skins? In the Tailor if you have The Laser Sword Powers you are given the option to change the weapon model with one of the Martial Arts Melee Weapon models that you have unlocked (the Single/Dual Blade models). Or if not possible removing the list from being available (because it gives the impression that you'd be able to change the weapon model when currently changing the model has no effect.)

    I would like to voice support for the 'more A & B' options. I would love to be able to have beards with some of the other mouth stuff. Alien eyes w/ glasses over them. Chest wear with a jacket over it (I understand clipping may be an issue). Masks with hoods/hats.

    In addition, I would like to see a few of the strangely male only costume pieces ported to the female models. There is a set of big (but not bugged out) alien eyes males have that females don't. Also the ball hand.

    Unlock the glow slider on all color slots automatically. Occasionally I'll activate a glow on one costume piece, then scroll through the available items and the glow stay in place on that color slot as I scroll down the items. I'll see one that I think looks really neat, click to select it and then the glow goes away. Much disappointment.

    Actual glowing tights. Like, not just glowing lines, but a full body set (Head, torso, hands, legs, feet, tail, wings) where you can have the entire body glow. Then you can layer chest pieces, armor, etc over it. Would be great for characters who are living energy or such.

    Please please please, complete out the incomplete sets. Raw muscle, Alien hybrid, Arcane tatoos (w/ ghost material). So many of these don't have hands, heads, or feet.

    Please unlock ALL costume materials on all costumes. We have had some really awesome new materials come down the pipeline recently between Holo, Psi, Glass, Ghost, Shadow, Ice....but they are so very, very limited. Maybe my charater wants to have Dark Armor's screaming skull face motif carved out of ice?

    Give us an option to have all the claws as an always out costume piece, not just the ones int he claw pack.

    Heck, I would love to have a 'Weapons' costume slot added in the hands category where you can equip any weapon your current powers allow and keep it in your hand at all times. We can sort of do this with a bind, but it'd be nice to just be able to set upa a 'holdin my swords' or 'guns drawn' costume.

    just like Hair, we could use facial hair combinations!

    EVEN BETTER if we had 2 Chest Wear categories as well
    Think how many combinations we could make with Jackets + Armour, we could archieve some interesting battle-armour combos
    The jackets alone right now are dull

    Also Wrapped Scarf, since its free costume, could benefit greatly by being ALSO available in NECK ACCESORIES! Being able to wear the scarf while having wings is awesome​​

    Are there any plans to add optional materials, at least allowing cloth, leather and metal, to pieces that only have only one or two of these materials available?

    There is a thread for that, so I'd hope so:

    But it seems that needs to be added 1 costume at a time, so it's probably out of scope to add them all.

    Well, I must say that this update is going to be something big for CO, awesome work Cryptic!

    I must voice my vote for fixing the helmets and head wear for bestial heads, I hope it can be done.​​

    Adjusting costumes to work with beast heads: This will not happen. This would involve making a new costume that was fitted for each individual beast head for each head costume for each gender.​​

    OK, I understand the limitations, I guess hat would be too much work, we have got enough new options as it is, so I guess it's fine.

    The Beast Mane in Chest Wear, can it be moved to Neck category? Since it covers mostly the neck area.

    The Variable Robot Head really should be under the normal/human head category since its eyes are designed to match up to the human template.

    This. Just because you feel the item works better in a given location, doesn't mean someone else isn't using it in its current location.

    On a related note:

    Could we get the bone spike items from the Nightmare Invasion mirrored to the back slot? Most of the actual spikes appear on the back, and that seems a more appropriate location for them.

    That would be awesome to have, also apply this to the Basic Subligar in the hips layer and to the Armor Tight Basic in the chest layer ;) .

    Nope, Exclusive Art Deco and Stars 01/10 seem to be unavailable in the Medium Skirts & Shorts cat (note there are quite a few unavailable for testing on PTS).

    Or make a slider possibly for the size of the hood or head piece alone for beast heads and such others.
    Another thing i would like to see is for the back models, perhaps on capes, psi textures ghost textures, even that quicksilver for capes and other back pieces. Allow for illumination on some more of them. Alternative textures for things like dr ka's wings, and so forth. its almost limitless. This game has always been good with allowing customization of the characters. I hope some of my suggestions might be doable. And again thank you Kaizerin for taking such great interest in what people want to see. :smile:

I can't help identify what causes this, but I can absolutely say that, for the sake of characters with a robotic leg, I would like to see this fixed.

I can't help identify what causes this, but I can absolutely say that, for the sake of characters with a robotic leg, I would like to see this fixed.

    The character creation tailor default costume causes that problem, if you press the "default" button in the normal in-game tailor you can give your costume pieces with left/right options different materials.

    1.) Could we get the Defender 2015, Robot Samurai, and Scifi Soldier tights patterns condensed down into the Glow Tights category. If you could add a glow variant to rock skin, that'd be awesome too. No way to make an effective lava monster at the moment.

    2.) Similarly, the padded armor tights pieces should really go under tights. I'm sure other players have some suggestions for condensing these sort of things down.

    One other thing I'd like to recommend.

    Include ALL of the costumes in the tailor (C store, Drifter, Questionite store, Drops) so that we can preview them in the tailor and see how they look with different colors/materials, etc. Not just a picture, but the actual costume piece like the un-purchased ones from the C store show up in the listing. Just include the little locked sign and a similar pop-up to what comes up now that tells us 'you have to buy this from Drifter' or 'This drops from Jack Fool'. That way we can do a test fitting to know if they fit the character we are thinking of them for, and know if we want to spend the time grinding the things we need to get them.

    Add an 'Auras' tab in the tailor where we can preview ALL of the auras (Cstore, Drifter, Questionite, etc). That way we can see how the auras look, test out different colors, see how different layers of auras in different slots work together. I have held off spending $$ on certain Auras because I just can't find a decent example in game or on Youtube to convince me it will look the way I think it might. If I could try them out you'd likely get more money from me on Auras.

    Also, if they aren't going to unlock account wide, at least give us some sort of pop up showing what auras a toon has in their inventory/storage when you are about to delete them. I have accidentally deleted chunks of a couple of aura packs due to altaholism.

    - Neck > Cowl Thick
    - Neck > Scarf

    Also, under the Hands category, Short Glove would lower on the list alphabetically than where it is now. Minor oversight, yes?​​

    Now, this might be a bit overkill, but why not just give players the ability to choose X number of "parts" per body part and let 'em just go at it? You can have all hats that clip together and look like a confusing amorphous blow on your head! Or you can match whatever parts you want to make whatever you want! I could see you limiting the max number of parts per section (giving your character 70 different hats at once would probably be a pain in the butt for a server to load, and for other players to have to load-in) but I feel like this is basically what people are REALLY asking for at this point.
    It makes sense, if you don't think about it.
