Sad news indeed, found him to be one of the most entertaining wrestlers of his generation.

Holy hell... I was big into wrestling in the late 80s early 90s, as something that was entertaining before it got stupid. Yea I am aware it's mostly staged but before it became 60% showboating, 30% ham acting, and 5% strutting and 5% actual wrestling, it was some what enjoyable as they actually had wrestling matches. Hell, I remember loving Roddy because he gave us the most oft quote line in cinematic history from They Live!

Just, I dunno. *sighs* I am tired fo seeing what made my childhood slowly fade away like this. It's just, so depressing.

That. I bought Saints Row IV just because they have him re-do that epic fight scene. The world is going to little more boring without him.

SOrry for the tangent but I just mentioned Roddy Piper's passing to a friend. His response was, "who ?" I then mentioned They Live, to which he responded, "never heard of it."

I am now on a mission.

Must. Get. Friend. To. See. They. Live.

Hell Comes to Frogtown also - not in the same league as They Live but an entertaining romp.

He admitted in a documentary interview that he took a lot of drugs during his wrestling heyday, I guess like a lot of other wrestlers in the 80's who have also perished in their 40s to 60s. He apparently cleaned up later on but the damage drug abuse does on one's heart is irreversible and it's no surprise if that's what cut his life short. I can't remember the name of the documentary that I watched on YouTube but he also did mention that he didn't expect to live past 60 if I'm remembering it correctly. Well it seems that he barely did.

I totally forgot that They Live exists and I need to go watch it.
