Whilst I was thinking that when reading zerrapus's post, I would still however say that 100,000 is far too low. As a player I just noodle around on my main for a couple of hours a day, doing a few dailies, invoking, and a couple of rounds of leadership tasks. Prior to the patch I would ding my overflow about once a week…
You can still view it on Twitch via their previous broadcasts - starts with here and carries on in here. It was a very interesting interview, fascinating insight into the way he creates and writes. One follow up question I would have though is: having said that he has played the upcoming Underdark quests, I'm curious to…
Connection from here in UK is fine (apart from lag in DR and IWD, but that's been there for much of the last week...). Plenty of people seem to be having problems though, seen a few grumbles in PE chat.
No. I understand there is a hell of a lot of AD in the game still from previous exploits though. Which is why I hinted that they may need to do something more drastic to reduce that. That's because I haven't said that. I have 3 characters with leadership 25 myself, with the resources thanks very much. It's still a…
As a solo'ist I'm happy that they are removing AD from leadership. Having leadership armies generating so much AD was ridiculous, and they were crazy for letting it go on so long. It ultimately means that it will be a long time before the economy normalises, unless they decide to do something more drastic. BUT - I do want…
Ouch. Going to add my thoughts here, so forgive me if I'm treading ground already trodden! Firstly, Leadership: I'm not going to lie, this is going to hit me hard. As a solo player, this is currently almost my only source of AD, and I'm not even one of the players going mad on it. I have 3 leadership characters, taking in…
I currently have no problems in getting into the game, maintaining connection, doing profession tasks, and switching zones. Connecting from the UK here. (I do have the fps problem though, so can't do much though!)
For me this is one of the biggest problems I have with the current state of the game. I'm pretty resigned now to the idea that a fix for this will only come during the next Thursday maintenance. It seems very rare that the servers are taken down to patch wide ranging problems like this. The flip side is that I can…
Just to update, still getting fps drop despite turning off the quest tracker. I have had no lag problems though, but have not done much fighting, just moving around PE and going to WoD camp.
Having the same problem running an HD7970, i7 on Win 10. Did 'Dragon Alchemy' this morning, had a headache by the end of it. Tried several different settings to no avail. Was hoping to do some 'Storm Front' over the weekend, but can't see it happening now - sadpanda :(
Have a look at Hammerstone Mask - very rare drop from Dwarven Valley area (HE's and Hammerstone Queen if I remember right). Sometimes appears on AH for around 50k AD
In the "build the community stronghold" thread at the top of the page, Sturm posted at the weekend "Don't worry, we have everything all set up already. I'll be making an announcement on Monday". So hopefully we will hear something soonish.
Click on your Start button, type "dxdiag" in the search box (or if Win 10, just type it in the "Ask me anything" box). Run the program it comes up with, then save all info (it should save it as a text file to your desktop).
When you get to the game launcher, click on 'Options' in the top right, and scroll down a bit on the menu screen that appears. You should see a check box for 'Safe Mode' in the Game section - put a tick in that. I would also recommend selecting 'Force Verify' in the Patching section above it - I've seen a few players in…
For me, it's also the this baffling desire to achieve bis. In all the other mmo's I have played in the last 15 years, full bis has been unachievable for the vast majority. You had to be in the top 3% of pve raiding guilds, or pvp players to even have a shot at it. My gear level is 2765 - I doubt I will attain bis in this…
Well, I used to cycle 7 miles to work in Central London, so being awake before I left was definitely encouraged! I used to have a guildmate in another game who trained his kid to do his crafting tasks for him whilst he was at work (in return for allowing the kid to have his own character on the account)! Not that I would…
Good post, and good comments coming from it. From the 1-60 leveling, one of the issues regarding gear that drove me nuts was related to professions. What is the point of only being able to craft green level items with no enchantment slots? Most gear you loot whilst leveling have these slots from about level 15 onward, so…
I disagree (well, apart from the 'it already takes forever' part, because it does!). The most effective way to level leadership is to do the training tasks, which take max 8 hours. So, for me (if I were working again - currently have health problems :( ) I set them off in in the morning whilst having breakfast, in the…
Yeah, me too. I don't understand why they haven't made the epic assets give %100 chance, and provide more useful items to craft and sell. If they did I think they would see slightly cheaper prices on the AH, and more AD changing hands between legit players. But professions seem to be (one of quite a few) a part of the game…
Furthermore, if you have lvl 25 Leadership, lvl 1 assets, and log in once per day you will get from tasks: 3x2000ad = 6000 3x500ad = 1500 3x1600ad = 4800 That's 12,300 ad minimum a day. If you have the right Leadership resources and get the right random hourly task, that total increases. If you invest in Heroes and…
Whilst I concur with much of what you have been saying, I just wanted to pick up on this. As a crafter who can make these items, the one thing putting me off of this in favour of just queuing Leadership tasks is the rng. If I did not have the 40% chance of failing to make the gemmed versions (thereby 'losing' the rarer…
People do realise that not all mmo's and online games in the world are hosted at the same data-centre right? So the connection route between your computer and Game A is going to be different to the connection route to Game B. Just because you can connect fine to one doesn't mean that you should have no problems connecting…
Thank you very much for this information. As someone who almost exclusively does campaign content solo, I have been wondering how much ArPen to have. Having around 5.5k with my current set up was making me consider whether it would be better to drop 500 or so for other stats - this info is very useful in helping me clarify…
I've been finding the events a lot of fun. My only small complaint is that I find them about 5 mins too long. My eyes start to get a bit strained with all the effects going off during the troll invasion and the water fight - and there's only so much fun you can have chasing pigs and chickens around!
