Devs don't have time apparently to work on a decent storyline, strange, considering it's a D&D game, which is supposed to be BASED on storyline. But, with so many lockboxes to implement and other items made to drain the players' wallets - no wonder they don't have time for a story.

Half of my friends list quit the game waiting for a reasonable content, the other half is busy exploiting gifts of simril. Really, this is all what is left from Neverwinter?

No. People still use gifts of simril in party, check the chat zones. As long as it's possible to use gifts of simril - exploit is usable. and exploiters still use it, got evidence of it, reported to support but they were unable to fix it for the past 3 weeks.

If its possible to still get them in game (using gifts of simril) why should they be removed from ZEN store?

You can still use the gifts. You will get starlight parcels. In fact, since Cryptic did not fix the gift exploit it seems people are allowed to use it, so they can get infinite amounts of ZEN items: wards, mounts, companions and bonding stones, all without spending any $ on them.

It was indeed a nice event, pity though it's been exploited from day 1 till the end as Cryptic has not been able to fix it.

If they repaired the exploit when they received detailed explanation how it worked there would be no "excessive amount of opened gifts" on the server. It's CRYPTIC's fault.

It's a pity they do not care anymore then. Winter event exploit still hasn't been fixed, although I've sent 2 tickets to support with detailed explanation of the exploit, I've also notified Akro about it by PM (no answer from him). After almost 3 weekes - exploit is still working.

Will you be removing the possibility to use gifts of simril, or will it be still possible to use them in a party after the event is removed?

So GS isn't relevant but number of legendary artifacts is ?

It's not about spending the lights. It's about lesser bonding runestones and gold, which you can get from opening the packages after using gifts of simril. If it's possible to use the gifts in a party after the event is over - exploiters will be quite happy as the gifts bug is still not fixed ^^

Guild halls? Hoousing? Marriages? Which of those features would generate additional income for the publisher? None of them. I feel really sorry for all those people spending real money on winter event items while the event exploit's still active, allowing people to farm infinite amounts of lights 24/7 to get everything they want for free and destroy the market by flooding AH with companions and runestones. And now... it's double. Great.

Can't connect to the Gateway ("Neverwinter Gateway is currently undergoing maintenance."). Can't use the game client (unable to establish connection to patch server). What now ?

People reach 80k simril lights in a day and then sell several mimics, sprites, fawns and runestones in AH.

So according to your logic we should exploit the winter event because AH will be more flooded with illegaly obtained, cheap companions and everyone could afford them. Great. Why removing boters then? It's the same situation. I can't understand how anyone could defend people breaking ToS and claim their actions have…
