This is really badly communicated, but you wouldn't expect them to offensively advertise a design flaw anyway. The best interest for players would be to retain the boons they worked for and it doesn't hurt to put a Stronghold vendor into PE either so you can still spend the guild marks for items you unlocked. Guilds would…
That's a concern I mentioned in my recent blogpost as well. Being in a guild is a gameplay feature now, not a social one. However, looking at the boons I think most guilds will run the same setup anyway. There are some great buildings and some you can easily skip.
Stable is not a must have for PVE. Mount Speed is not that important and classes that need Defense and ArPen already can stack it rather easy. I'd go Barracks, Explorers' Guild, Temple and Wizard's Workshop for PVE and Barracks, Stable, Temple (Siege Workshop) and Wizard's Workshop for PVP. Here'e my blog about the boon…
Thanks for working towards a solution. However, I have two issues with your statement. The nerf than adjust approach is one we know around here quite well, but as you might notice it's getting harder to sell those changes, especially such an impactful one like the gateway Leadership nerf. The adjustments that you mentioned…
People always say they want to be compensated for nerfs and I feel the same way, but in the end we don't know what the devs envision an adequate daily income to be.
The main issue for players is not that you don't take action, but taking action the wrong way. I have no doubts the amount of AD generated by profession bots is insane, however dealing with exploits and botting the Cryptic/PWE way always results in a nerf of some shape or form. Assuming that bots adjust sooner or later…
An Alchemy farm similar to a Leadership farm can put out hundreds per week. (50 characters * 7 slots * 7 days) / 12 days = 204 per week However, at their current prize, it's better to do Leadership tasks. Using data back at Neverwinter Uncensored our estimation of getting an UE from an Elemental Evil Heroic Encounter is…
I personally don't mind that they introduce a gear upgrade, because I expected them to do so. Also have to say that reading through the comment of asterdahl again, "raising the level cap" might not refer to the item level cap, in which case the information is not as faulty as I initially thought.
Like you said that the Elemental Elven Armor cost is balanced around the fact that it'll remain BiS for a "long time" ? People are indeed frustrated because you keep feeding us misleading information. That's an issue.
Since the last update the sorting should only be affected by edits, not by the newest posting. This was a forum limitation, but we're using the API now. Could you specify 'sluggish' and/or suggest improvements? Loading times are not great because the script fetches the current avatars for each dev. We might store that in…
The lag wouldn't be as bad if the game engine was at least decent. I'm getting another fps drop on preview in Mod 7. It's trending into the wrong direction.
The F2P model currently experiences a cultural change. PWE is still doing what is more and more evidently no longer working: cater to whales. They will have to adjust or go down. And don't forget Cryptic likes to play it safe, they are going to do what's necessary. At least that's what we hope.
+1 The only way to lengthen the progress is to create more quests and the daily design is a very poor one to say the least. Players are not progressing through a true story like 0-60 but repetitive tasks. Imho the progress to the level cap should be linear and then dailies, grind kicks in. Of course resources are not there…
The Tracker received its final update today, should now load faster, can distinguish between PC and XBox related posts and has a pagination. B) It also pushes posts to our Twitter account, so make sure to follow to receive live updates. Please report if you feel devs and or forums are not properly tracked! Enjoy!
