I think you missed the point. The Master of Svardborg has to complete the skirmish with ALL members of the team finish without being downed. It is a reward based on building the best team. My achievement can be wiped out if one teammate makes a mistake.
Since many new players have not invested heavily in any particular build, this would not be a problem for PUG players. The fact that many of the high lvl PvP guild player would not be interested, this could be a safe place for the new players that are currently avoiding Pvp to come so that they can learn & experiment. +1
I don't get mad because a bunch of bullies are acting like bullies. I simply don't PvP anymore. Unless there is a solo-Q event. There are more fun things in the game than PvP. I still love the game. I just don't love what has happened to PvP.
In earlier mods, where it was possible to find a "fair" match in two or three tries, or even get a win in less than an hour, it was a lot easier to write off the bad behaviour that you found in PvP. Now that that is no longer the case, it isn't so easy to shrug off. It gets even harder when your opponents conspire to…
It has to do with gear gap & queue times. The power creep as more mods & content has created a gear gap between long-term & p2w players and new/leveling players. This, alongside a low population of players created a situation where PvP queue time was stretched to 60 - 90 minutes. In order to get faster matched the…
IIRC, the bots started showing up in PvP about the same time that the devs changed invoke/resource nodes to stop botters from farming RP. Now that farm glory to buy savageable gearz. Anywho, get all the kills u can in under 60 PvP. 60 - 70 PvP can be fun. Once you hit lvl 70, your boon progression will come to a stop,…
This thread is about PvP matches where some players stop fighting in the middle of a match against teams that have guilds/alliance members. When you say things like, "we have a duty to show our loyalty to our alliance or guild.", or "If you are not our ally, what do we owe you? Essentially you're an enemy." & "We chose to…
So, in your opinion, a player does not owe his "team" any respect, or loyalty? I think that is a disturbing situational morality, personally. If players only treat their friends or allies honorably, I think that they should be prevented from forming groups outside of their alliances. Once you queue for PvP, your…
1) I have not watched hundreds of YouTube videos about Neverwinter PvP, but I have spent 5- 6 hours watching them. I have never seen one that had the original audio from the game. All the vids I found had the sound stripped out & replaced with a 33,000 BPM euro-trash EDM track. When you're watching some gearz monster brag…
Which makes it all the much more frustrating when you FINALLY get a half-way decent match-up... and half way through, ahlf your team stops fighting, because they have guild-mates on the enemy team.
1) Most PvP videos are "my class/build/paycheck is so Hugh Mungous I can rekt this whole team! Lulz!" 2) This one really bugs me. A lot of premades keep suggesting that "under-geared" toons can just set up their own premades & that will fix everything! That is so wrong. A per-made composed of 2kIL toons is going to face…
Sometimes, but in those situations someone usually calls "gg." On other occasions, it was a close match, or my team was only losing by a little bit. It is a little suspicious how the "aborted" matches happen after a coup;e deaths on the opposing side :disappointed:
It may not be a "rule" but I have been in many matches where my team stopped fighting with NO "gg" call. When asked why, the reason they give is "that's my guild over there." Even you admit that it is a common practice to avoid "in guild drama." The other point of view is that by avoiding conflict in-guild, the game as a…
One of the main reasons I stopped using the foundry, when it was operational, was time. As I advanced in the game, everything became more grind oriented. The more time I have to spend grinding, the less time I have to explore. I loved some of the longer foundry stories. It would take as long, or longer to explore them as a…
I can confirm, as a fresh lvl 70 <2k IL toon, it IS hard to beat Valindra. Sometimes impossible. If a language barrier, or a personality conflict prevents players from sharing information about the mechanics of the fight, (coffins, rotating red bands of death, the grarping hand) it can lead to a quick wipe.
