    It seems my luancher for sto keeps acting up all I want to do is download the new pacth but it just keeps crashing naver had any problems with it until today:(

    We're looking into some people having a lost connection to the Patch Server. We'll update you as soon as we have more information.

    no issues on my end even though it drops checks and starts up again. its gotten 150mb through this attempt. still as fast as when trendy mentioned its sped up.

    Well if it helps it turns out your fix didn't completely fix it after all. :P Still a massive improvement though.

    me too. it was patching, then i was browsing for a bit. when i came back it was connecting... unsure if it had finished the patch or not, i restarted the launcher. now the launcher wants to update itself, but fails with a 'cant connect to patch server' error :(

    Seemed to help somewhat Trendy, but it's still slow...

    Better use Force Choke on techs this time round me thinks... :P

    Get the trying to update launcher window. No launcher, no patch. And obviously putting this in so definitely have an internet connection.

    Bring on Darth Marr! hes known to get the job done, more fairer than most sith you will see.

    oh and my connection has slowed about 50%.

    I'm also having issues with the patcher. It downloaded most of the update, it seems, but it "lost connection to the patch server" and never came back. I've checked the internet connection and the connection is fine.

    Big patch overworked the server hamster and now they have to find a pet shop to get a new one.:D

    on 100mb connection here hard wired the patcher is crawling for me now never usually does. this is my second patch didn't notice if the first today crashed or was done or what size second is 355mb and its SLOW its 54% done and its been 20 minutes normally that size patch is like 2 min or less for me.

    Patching speed has improved, but stuttering. Should be done in about 20 minutes at this rate.

    Hi there Bubbaloo!

    The patcher did disconnect me, and would not let me reconnect, so I tried through Steam and connected. I do not think Steam made a difference, I think i just got lucky and connected.

    And now the patch is downloading about 4x faster. Groovy.

    Patch Server should be back up and running again. Thank you for your patience, everyone while I proverbially run back and forth across the office. :P

    That DC turned out to be a happy accident. :) 10 seconds after it had restared, patch is completed.

    @ That female Iconian demiurge: See?! That is how you impress as a goddess! :P Killing foolish, overweight Klingon clones doesn't quite cut it.

    The reason you might have 3.8 gig like me is because I have sto set up to do full downloads. This way missions and stuff load faster as I have a copy on my system too.

    On a more serious note, I was able to VPN to the midwest to pull down some of the patch before that died as well.
