It just sounds like to me, that your CPU's are overheating/not transferring heat properly. The fact that it was a resent patch only happens to be a coincidence. Perhaps more information can be provided to the community/Dev's instead of making a general observation. Not all graphics are created equal.

Long time ago now those 2 were combined, and they did not work properly to my recollection. They decided to separate them into to commands and prevent crouch walking. I seriously dough that they will recombine them, and or revert to the old broken way, just saying.....

Your system appears to support DX11 so I would say yes it will run it. Dirt 3 is a good benchmark since most new GPU's come with a free code for that game.

I don't think it has anything to do with you ship. I was experiencing the same problem across all my characters regardless of what ship I was flying.
