My involvement with STO specifically is pretty limited these days -- I'm more reactive / LiveOps-emergency guy -- so I don't know whether any changes were made around that. For what it's worth, though, I haven't heard anything about that problem, nor fixing it. Are other people experiencing this whitescreen crash?

I don't think so, but maybe the general upgrade might give us some benefits I'm not thinking of. This was more about smoothing the road for traffic in general, rather than putting checkpoints in the road.

Yeah, yesterday was a network-wide maintenance, not just game- or website-related. I can't discuss details, but both the maintenance and the issue at 7pm PDT affected pretty much the entire network.
