Merging the KDF and Feds in to a single faction is impracticable from a cannon stand point as well. It's not just Klingons and Orions, its also Gorn, Nausicans, Lethans and Ferasans. Those species are either highly mercenary or simply don't get along with the Federation at all. Never have and never will. The closest of…
What's not balanced about it? That there are actually people who don't care about stats and prefer having options? That there are people who don't give one whit about endgame, console quality, and the turn rate of a ship? :P You need to look at the broader picture.
As I've said before, the KDF is in a catch-22. There won't be more players without more content, there won't be more content without more players. The only ones capable of breaking that catch-22 is cryptic. Good job not responding to anything in my post.
No. I'm intelligent enough not to have tried in the first place. On subject, though, my advice to those that are unsure is to not bother. STFs aren't worth doing in the first place. Yes I've done them at least once a piece, no I don't consider any of them worth doing more than that. It's a pointless and wasteful gear…
Not everyone plays the game for the same reason. I don't want min/maxing. I want more costume choices for my KDF character. I want to start at level 1 and have full on missions to do that are no rehashes of Fed mission. I want more choices in what my character's species is. I'd like to make a Female Gorn Science Officer,…
Op, why yell at them? You chose to PuG, or what I like to call Darwin's Lottery. :D Yelling at them is about as effective as trying to lick your own forehead.
And you think they'll even bother with THAT much for the Romulans? No way. No chance. No how. Frankly, if they can't get one of the original factions right, they sure as hell won't be able to get a new faction right. Players, regardless of which faction they're on, shouldn't tolerate it. And in direct answer, I don't care…
Klingon Missions should be an overall arch involving a garrison on Defera as "Peacekeepers". The missions would be putting down protests and rebellion, blockading the planet, peeling the hull off of ships in order to do "inspections". xD
I could go along with this idea. Random bits and bobs that we can mix and match to make distinct outfits would be nice to have, so long as it comes with some properly Klingon skirts for the women. I would also like to see the Mercenary set that is usable by the Feds to be added to the KDF as well. Since it already exists…
They get around the law by throwing some paltry stuff in to the Box that you are guaranteed to get so they can get around the gambling laws with a technicality. Personally, I've never opened a lock box and delete every one I pick up.
As I said, I do not need to be part of a fleet to be social. My desire to remain outside of the fleet system does not make me anti-social and its idiotic to think that it does.
On my little BOP I pack turrets on the back. If no one's behind me it lets me fire them forward along with my other cannons. If someone is behind me, popping rapid fire with the turrets tends to do the job of whittling down their shields as I come around to bring the rest of my weapons to join in. A high yield transphasic…
That's certainly doable. I guess what I would like is for them to cut out the middle-man, so to speak. Where I could just use the fleet marks at a fleet whether I'm part of it or not, and that fleet would get those marks then. All it would take is gaining access to the fleet starbase by way of invite. Not really a big…
Oh I know, it was less asking you directly for information and more asking to have a Dev dragged here by the ear and having their nose pressed to the monitor while shouting "LOOK!" at them. :D Though you probably can't do that either. Anyway, on topic. There's just a lot of things missing on the KDF side. I even found out…
I won't reiterate what others have already said in the thread, 'll just add this. The Vo'Quv is my favorite if for no other reason than its adorably chubby for a Starship. :D If ever there was a ship that could waddle over and smash someone to pieces with heavy firepower, that would be it.
I'm perfectly social, I just don't feel like I have to fall in to a clique to be able to enjoy what I'm doing. At any rate, thank you both for the answers. That's all I needed to know.
It's interesting to think what might have been had Perpetual not gone belly up and lost the license for STO. I suspect this would have been quite a different game from what it currently is.
It will be the Lockbox that has a 5% chance of giving you something good, and a 95% chance of giving you another identical lockbox. It'll be the never-ending Lockbox!
