An RSE playable faction would at least have Romulans, Remans, and Hirogen as playable races. Probably at least one more, maybe a race shared with another faction. And of course you need to have Liberated Borg Romulans. Maybe Acamarians, they were unaligned in TNG and lived near Romulan space.
The Adorian Warship won't be in a lockbox, simply due to the fact it is not a cross faction ship. What I imagine would be in a lockbox is this thing. In fact, I'm more surprised it hasn't been in on yet.
I hate to say it but there's a lot of truth here... it's much better for the dev team to phase out old players and target new players than try to continually make "new content".
New players bring a much greater spending potential to the game than veteran players. Basically the most profit is had in getting them in, taking their money and then tick them off so they leave and make room for the next group.

The Ferengi are "traders" and unique in that they just want to do business.
The Tuffli is a common enough trade ship.
The Cardassian fleet was dismantled but the Tru-way kept their ships and became a "common enemy" hence the Galors.
The Mirror Universe ships from a "common enemy".
But no, I don't think we'll see Romulan/Reman ships in the lockboxes as those designs would be needed for the Romulan faction should it ever be brought in game.

Am I the only one who absolutely hates this whole Lockbox system? For me, all they do is clog up my inventory. I must have collected six stacks of Ferengi lockboxes and another three of Tholian lockboxes by now. :P

Sorry for the necro but I would like one of the lockboxes to be a Breen Lockbox. I would like to see the following stuff in it:
Sarr Theln Warship - (grand prize) a T5 or T6 Carrier with a extra set bonus when using the Breen Set, like how the Jem Escort is with the Jem'Hadar Set. I would like it to have a Commander Sci and a Lieutenant Commander Universal.
Chel Grett Cruiser - (second best ship) a T3 or T4 Cruiser
Bleth Choas Fighter - (third prize) a pilotable fighter, there should also be hangar versions on Lobi Store for the Carrier.
Cryonic Warfare Ground Set - There should be a EV combat suit and a personal shield that are Breen-themed and have a set bonus that improves thermal resistance (fire and cold damage) and maybe resistance to holds. The CRM 200 should also be a part of the set. Its 3-piece bonus should give the player Cryonic Visor Beam.
A Breen Hat - There should be a Breen Hat as a low-cost gimmick item on the Lobi Store. It should give anyone who wears it a Breen Head.
Purchasable Cryo Grenades - People can spend any loose change Lobi Crystals to buy Cryo Grenades. They should cost like 5 or less Lobi Crystals each.

Season 7 is centered on the convergence of the Tholians, the Terrans, the Romulans... and possibly the Borg.
My money is on:
More "crackerjack" Terran ships, this time a Tac-y Sci ship and Science-y Escort.
Assimilated Starships, tying in with the release of Into the Hive, as the grand prize. This should pretty much wrap up the Borg plotline in STO, possibly permanently as far as the game is concerned. So it's the last chance to get Borg ships out.
I suspect some alternatives to the Kar'fi are possible. A variety of options for non-combat viable cruisers with Fleet/DOff/crafting/exchange functions.
And to really stir people up, I'm gonna predict that the end of the year will see:
Return of past lockbox ships in the Q Winter games event.
A lockbox Constitution "Museum Ship." TOS Connie exterior. TOS Connie interior. Still Tier 1 stats but with a special console, transwarps, interior extras.
