Why, exactly, do we need more power creep? Much of the time I join a random TFO there's at least one person who can solo it. Loads of fun when someone one shots everything and melts the boss in seconds while the rest of the team doesn't really get to do anything.
Gee, it's nice that all the new temporal ships are full temporal ships (and even some non-temporal ships like the Husnock Warship), but yet the T6 versions of the original Temporal ships (Verne, etc.) are not. When's that getting fixed, Cryptic?
My thoughts exactly. I'll pass on designing something to be sold by some company I have zero affiliation with that they will make money from without me seeing a penny of it.
I've felt like STO has been going downhill for a long time with everything new being more grind instead of more fun, but this? This is the worst news possible. There's always been foundry missions to break up the monotony between new story episodes, but if that's all going away what's left? The same story missions that,…
Most of it looks good, especially the auto sponsorship for Tier 5 and the FSM+retrain token. But do we REALLY need more power creep? Bonus damage is completely unnecessary.
It's a few months late for an april fools' joke, don't you think? Besides we already had one of those this year and it was about as amusing as this is. Please, stop with the lame jokes already.
+1 to Cmdr. Temporal boff seat and Molecular Reconstruction for the Sci ships, heavy weapon slot for the Destroyers, and Aeon skin for them both. I mean, if I can use the Aeon skin on my Paradox why should it not be usable for the upgraded T6 versions of the original Temporal ships?
Yeah.....I don't know how they're calling it a pay what you want bundle since you don't actually get anything unless you spend $35 or more. I'm all for the 100% charity aspect, but it is definitely not a pay what you want bundle.
Something I've actually been looking forward to. I still use the Plesh Brek on my Eng because I haven't found anything that's a better fit, so having a straight upgrade is great.
All I'd really want to see is fix the issue that displays the shuttle as active ship and nullifies consoles/traits from your ship. Having to dismiss a shuttle to correct the issue does not work when you're using a lockbox shuttle.
Introduce cool Jem'Hadar character in blog. Feature cool character in episode. Get people to think "Wow, this is a cool character, I hope we see more of him." Kill off cool character in utterly pointless manner. I mean seriously, what the heck was up with that scene? He does a suicide rush and Martok not only just stands…
Yeah, until now the Recluse was the only real worthwhile Carrier if for some reason you wanted to focus on pets. The Mesh Weavers use 2xDBB and a torp fore with a rear array, and FAW, APB, and Evasive Maneuvers for abilities but I'd say these are a close second.
I can't comment on the difficulty as I haven't touched the BZ or the new queues yet, but having people auto grouped when entering a BZ would go a long way to solving the problem of anyone who stays behind to guard a zone not getting any rewards. Multiple groups wouldn't be an issue since the CC queue does this, so we…
Eh, if you want to see a better way of handling vanity pets just look at Champions Online, instead of being inventory items, pets get unlocked in a list as you acquire them. Just open the list and select a pet, and off you go. Why that wasn't done in STO to begin with boggles the mind.
All pvp needs is a vanilla mode, that way people can choose between the current hot mess and something that's actually workable for the average player. No rep/R&D traits, no lockbox anything (traits, boff abilities, kit modules, etc), no click ability consoles, no doffs. Just common quality gear, starting traits, and…
It's not just torps. For a while Tricobalt mines were useful with the dispersal pattern skills, with the right build you could blow transformers with one use of DP Tricobalt mines but now they're a bad joke.
I don't really have much of an opinion of the way they were designed, I just want the opportunity to get one as a boff. Ship combat, however......from what little we were given about them becoming stronger the more there are in close proximity it pretty much sounds like it's going to be "F-U Gravwell, go FAW!"
That may very well be what happens, we could get a basic version of the Lukari ship for the anniversary much like the Odyssey Star Cruiser, then later on a 3 pc set shows up in the cstore or a box.
The Sheliak are a bit too xenophobic to really ally with other races, they want the rest of the galaxy to just stay out of their way. What reason would they have to team up with anyone to antagonize a bunch of other races that are leaving them alone?
Thanks for the good laugh cryptic. Today has sucked so far and this was just what I needed to forget about all the TRIBBLE, even if it was only for a moment.
Don't really care about any of the UR/VR stuff, but finally being able to get the Khan emote is nice. But it makes me wonder if the 23c Temporal ships are going to be in it next time it shows up.
What about people who have more than one from back when they were tradeable? I know several people (myself included) who grinded to T4 diplo/marauding on alts and traded the boff to their main, and a lot of people who bought them off the exchange or got them through trades.
The only ships I do "badly" with are stuff like the DSD, Manasa, and Ambassador that you get stuck with in missions that have loudouts that you can't change. At least you don't get thrown into combat immediately and have time to configure the power tray, but all the power tray management in the world doesn't help bad…
