I've had this issue a few times and restarting the process would sometime "unstick" it, but it's not working tonight. A quick internet search shows this same issue going back to at least 2012. How can you be this bad at something for so long?

BMR, will we be getting guidance on what we need to do when they implement the new fix? The previous fix never gave us any guidance on what we needed to do, leaving most people doing the endless loop of patches with no idea if it was doing anything.

It really isn't clear right now about the source of that "joke". While they are saying that it was someone else, I haven't seen that confirmed by any other source. I appreciate the update. Any chance of expanding on what the fix last night was? Does it include downloading multiple patches? It would be nice to have an idea what we need to be doing and what is a waste of time.

I was able to log in fine last night after about 8 patches, but it was really late my time, so I went to bed shortly afterwards. After that last patch attempt, the really big one, I was able to log in. Quick edit before I go to bed. I just hopped on the game for a minute. The maps are pretty deserted, so not very many people on. Hopefully the issue is resolved and it will back to normal tomorrow.

I think there is more than one patch. Every time I try to log on, it patches a different size patch. The first was about 4000MB, the next ones were about half that. I 'm on my 5th or 6th patch right now and it appears to be big, at 8% I'm already over 1000MB.

This is something that might work, but would need to happen very quickly, otherwise you have people who lose all their recently attained items and accomplishments, getting even worse the longer you wait. The console - It's good for 23 Drain, which is useless to most of us, and 7.5 Aux Power, which is always useful on a Science Vessel. The proc is 2.5% and thus meaningless in my opinion. You didn't mention the Cryonic Weapon Enhancement on the console, is that ability any good?

I've watched my temps while playing before, nothing out of the ordinary and no spikes. Just for the sake of testing a theory, I had WoW and SWTOR up on my other monitors while playing STO. STO crashed after about 30 minutes which is typical, while SWTOR and WoW were still up with no issues. I'm stumped on this one.
