This is a nice nod to fellow game devs over at Bioware. I remember something similar when the Star Wars MMO launched we got glowing lightsaber-esque bat'leths during the first winter event from a yoda-like alien. :)

You make valid points and I concede to you. I mean, I'm sitting here with 980 autographed Q portraits so I know what it's like to miss too many days. If anything, I guess we're dealing with the symptom of a larger issue, which is that so much of the game is heavily time-gated.

This has happened to me once. To solve, download and install Champions Online (it's free), make a character, and then leave the channel from within that game. It's a pain, but this will work. You can uninstall CO afterward if you like.

Do you think this is related to the similar problem happening in the Zaria system? Maybe it's some sort of texture issue?

I'd like to see the give players a ship emote for left and right, for free. This would be useful for things like starting STFs, and would get players more used to using them. As for ground emote packs, yes! Otherwise I don't see devs spending much time to actually make new emotes for us. I bought all the original ones.

I wish we could upvote and downvote threads in the new software. I feel like there's a lot of stuff posted on here that makes me want to headdesk. Something that let the best threads (i.e. the ones that we want the devs to see most) rise to the top might be nice...

I'm just saying that if you have enough time to play STO (in general), you got enough time to jet around the Risa volcano for 5 minutes. Funny thought: I bet they could make the summer participation more by making swimsuits wearable in some other locations.

Stop flaming. He made the claim that full-time workers wouldn't be able to participate in the event successfully. I used myself as an example to show that his claim was untrue. Running a race is much less commitment than the grinding for spec points, rep, or crafting mats that are required for endgame.

Having to start at the same amount as the rest of us is not a penalty. And having a job is most likely not going to stop most of us from being able to log in for a daily five minute flight around the volcano. I work full time and it certainly hasn't stopped me.
