This has been a problem for years, as far as I can remember infact and I've been here since Open Beta. So before there was a Liberated Borg trait and it was Borg Nanites it still didn't work. I believe it is every 6 seconds that it shows up as what it should be - coinciding with the Shield regen.

Finally completed it using an Nanite Disruption Assault Minigun +[CrtH]X3, I figured it's probably better to get criticial hits even more often than to do a bit of extra damage on 25% of the criticals. Used bioresearch kit for tackyon harmonic.

Silly me, the swarmers aren't Voth, although there is supposedly still half the proton damage for non-voth. I'm on XP 64 so this wasn't an option. For me what fixed it was moving the speed/quality slider from minimum to low, yet when i had manually changed the individual settings upwards to match the low settings it didn't work.
