If you like the eject warp plasma I might suggest considering the Theta Vents console instead. You can find those on the Exchange but I'm not sure what the cost is. I think using a console slot for something like that would be better than consuming one of your BOFF slots.
Awww yeah, Pig Boat, Pig Boat, Pig Boat! Check this out CapeMike. Got a bit bored with the Spiral Waves and so I Rainbow'd it up! http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=sphinxualhealiniii_7607 The Regenerative Integrity Field console gives me an "Oh S!#%" heal button for when the hull drops below 50% which of course…
Federation scum cooking your food and not eating it raw. Come join the Unrepentant Klingon Fleet and learn to eat like a true warrior. Oh yeah and we shoot stuff and hang out....
Sorry for your problems on the site. Have you tried a different browser? In fact what browser are you using? Haven't had reports of other people with a similar problem. :(
============ Advanced Research Vessel Retrofit. Improved its turn rate from 9 to 10. Improved its inertial from 40 to 45. Added a +accuracy bonus on the Console - Universal - Tachyon Grid to both the passive and active effects. The Fleet and T5-U versions of this starship will also benefit from the improvements above.…
Hello fellow Nebbie pilot! There's also several universal consoles that can blind targets so you could use one of those and then drop mines. Can't shoot what they can't see. I've personally dropped using a wide angle quantum and instead moved over to a Breen Transphasic. Not quite the hitting power and definitely a slower…
The STO wiki would seem to confirm that but also note that Beam Overload was modified in the most recent patch (see below). I've removed FAW2 from my Neb-R and replaced it with Beam Overload 2. Getting in close and smacking a Borg Cube is a fun way to get some aggro and really test your hull strength Beam Overload: Beam…
Nope I would say the Gravimetric is a great torp to use. As a SCI ship also has fewer weapon slots I also shop around for any weapons or gear that may increase my critical hit chance.
Ah my apologies then I didn't read it carefully enough. Have you considered the Jem Hadar 3-piece set you can earn via in-game missions? It ups your DPS pretty well and Polaron gear is pretty cheap on the Exchange. Scrounge up a little bit of Lobi and you can upgrade it from MkXI to MkXII as well. The Fleet spire tac…
I may just have to do that. What I normally have in place is the gear pieces that maximize grav well since from parsing that always seems to be a major contributing factor to any DPS this ship delivers. I don't think this gear configuration I have shown here does that but I'll need to check out what you're suggesting.
Hell yes, Nebula tinker time. http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=sphinxualhealing_7607 While the Engineering and Tactical consoles rarely change, I like to try different weapon layouts or new consoles in the SCI slots quite a bit. My BOFF layout is also pretty constant as I feel it's an excellent of mix…
Fleet Neb's my favorite boat to run around in and play with on a day-to-day basis. It's slow plodding as I fire off SCI skills and perform broadsides fits my play style: lazy. :) I wouldn't mind seeing some changes to the Nebbie. The most intriguing one of course is the mission pod types being changed out. I think someone…
I pretty much fly the Neb all the time and have been happy with it. As the game's evolved I've found it pretty interesting to have to work on modifying the ship's weapon, DOFF, and BOFF load out to either drop or add systems that will keep it as a viable support ship. I have no illusions about getting a huge DPS number out…
Hi, I personally fly the Fleet Neb a lot but if you're looking to get some maximum DPS from your boat then it's probably not the best boat. As a support ship/crowd control it's top notch. With the new spire consoles you can even go rainbow beams on it if you want to try and hit multiple proc types. As a TAC in it you have…
Mew, I fly the fleet variant of the Neb and use it as my primary ship. It's my baby, the one that I park carefully in the garage and wax every weekend. My goal was similar to yours: a jack of all trade that's good for many roles including crowd control, healing, and some DPS output. However, as it's my primary I also have…
FWIW I'd like to chime in on this. I run a SCI boat (Fleet Neb) and I have put in seven or eight points into both Graviton and Particle generator skills. I went back to some old parses I had lying around from September and compared them to some runs this week. From what I can see the damage output is about the same --…
As a SCI officer flying a Fleet Neb most of the time I've been very pleased with the results in PvE. However I will admit that I prefer healing over all else. With the Neb though I feel I've made a solid healer but also contribute to debuffs and crowd control. I took these sceenshots last week on the ship but I believe…
If you get into the fleet variant of the Nebula shields aren't much of an issue. With the right consoles and skill point allotment the hull can get into the high 40s which from my experience has been more than enough for everything except one-shots. My Neb currently sits at around 48k and 10k shields but I've specced it…
Hi, I've played Nebula for a while and consider it my favorite ship. I guess I'll chime in on this. Right now I have the fleet Nebula variant and the ship loadout and BoFF layout are in the links below. I play PvE so undoubtedly the PvPers will scoff at this build. I know guys, but I don't PvP. I continually tinker and…
I could understand TT and Sci sharing a cooldown because they both deal with shields but Eng Team could still be separate IMO. All I'm saying STO devs is that I am content with being the boring old healer in the group.
I think it'd better if the special Neb console was more useful in PvE. Perhaps it would give all teammates a sensor analysis boost for 15-20 seconds to let all team members improve weapon performance.
