Agreed. The sensor scan we got in the teaser a week or two ago, if it was the Shenzhou, looked a bit too futuristic for the mid-23rd century. That's what started my thinking of that possibility. Hope I'm wrong.

Was using the event store path you mentioned, but the ship was grayed out. But it's opening fine for me on my other characters now. For whatever reason it looks like waiting a little while is the best solution to this issue.

Exactly the same experience here with the Cryptic Launcher failing to auto update, then timing out. Was in mid-game when I got booted and can't log back in. Looks like it happened to quite a few of us around the same time.
