I also have this problem and error message. Tried to force verify twice. This was after the patch.

So is this issue only being seen on computers running Windows 8 or higher? Running Windows 7 Pro, Windows 7 Home and a version of MAC OS X on four different computers using STEAM, each computer a totally unique build, and all was working fine as of late last evening.

Well now I have this issue. Got disconnected mid-game this morning (EDT) and now the Cryptic Launcher update refuses to start and tries about 5 times to update an closes.

So missing 8 items from the account bank for all toons on the account (@rjflyer7). The eight spots are blacked out, something occupies the spaces, but can't view info, take the items or put other things in those slots. They were mostly rare or very rare mk xii items. Fleet bank (Klingon Security Agency) also missing items…

So I found a way to actually get the white common bridge officers, but it still doesn't let me contribute them to the fleet project...end this now.

I just fell into the trap of this Starbase upgrade as well. It's YEARS later and the bug is not fixed and now my starbase has ground to a halt. Cryptic: If you're not going to fix it, remove it! I just got caught in this bug today. I completed the third scan and then was sucked into the anomaly and can't get out. I've tried changing characters, exited sto and went back in and was taken right to the same spot...stuck in the anomaly.
