I've disabled Arc Defender and it STILL wants a One Time Code. My problem was a system crash and a reinstall. And I've used the save password feature in my browser for so long that I forgot it and now cannot access the email account that is registered with Arc/Cryptic. Now what? :D

You can't do anything in this game while in RED ALERT mode except combat. You can't open a crate, you can't use a console and you can't heal a colonist while getting shot at. What makes you people think you can tag a diplomat while in combat? You can't. Just wait until your RED ALERT is cleared from the top of the screen…

Not a bug. You can't open a crate whil in combat, you can't use a console, you can't heal the colonists and, of course, you can't tag a diplomat. It makes perfect sense. Just wait until the RED ALERT clears and the diplomats can be tagged with success. Just like any other action.
