So how does one activate these various preprogrammed specialized routines in order to get all the bonuses? Would a player simply activate the console as often as possible? A recharge time of 10 seconds seems pretty quick. Having so many bonuses in one console sounds very generous but also seems kinda scary at the same time.
Coordinate Colonization Efforts is a great repeatable Starbase project for active fleets with a 30 minute cooldown. Both it and the provisioning projects have the more desirable fleet mark to fleet credit ratio. However for the 4 completed fleets I slot projects for I exclusively use "unload excess fleet marks" (with the…
It takes a lot of work to get a fleet up to top tier, and a lot of resources as well. If this is about the difference in the payout ratio of fleet marks to fleet credits for projects that build the holdings versus the "unload excess fleet marks" projects please realize that we all have the choice of building a fleet's…
Just flipping a switch seems like such an easy thing to do but what would happen if it affects the games's code in ways nobody could even begin to imagine ?
Yes, yes, and yes. For me the best way to get to know a few people and chat with other players on discord was to join a fleet. Two places to try would be.. 1) This forum's Fleet Recruitment section 2) reddit.com/r/sto/ (fleet info in right sidebar) It's still a good game after all these years and has a huge number of hours…
That fish bowl saucer was one of my all time favorites. The new version makes it look like an old stained glass window. Didn't Scotty give the formula for transparent alumimum to a 20th century engineer almost 40 years ago in ST IV ?
If you're referring to Give Your All, yes it certainly seems to work well. Would it be possible to expand on the "value" of building for a high defense rating in PvE though? I took a raider for a cruise and it appears that a large part of the available defense was available at a quarter throttle, and all of it was…
I think a lot of casual players need all the help they can get when playing ground. This is likely why changing to a ground spec is something that's requested so often. The not quite so casual players are probably using Large Kit Overboosters plus a simple keybind to sequentially fire off abilities in a tray using a single…
I thought all the MAM specialists were engineering, but there are a couple of science dept ones mentioned here as well as where to get them.. (stowiki.net) Specialization: Matter-Antimatter Specialist Two FED examples from the above that are from the science dept.. Emergency R&D Hologram: Matter-Antimatter Specialist_(FED)…
The leveling experience for KDF used to be a bit different due to the available content at the time so KDF players needed to find xp in a variety of different ways in order to rank up.
I like to focus on just enjoying the episode. They aren't for grinding. If it's all about getting paid then focusing on content that pays better (i.e. TFO's) might make sense.
The universal endeavour might give credit towards the completion of some of these missions. The minimum level for some of these are just Lt 6 so these are the sort of mini-missions that could have been used to help level up back in the early days of the KDF.
These are very old and some include ground or space PvP. No idea as to their current status. Check out some of the missions given by this NPC --> B'Eta "Do not fear death, embrace it. Fear will paralyze you in the heat of battle. Take this lesson to heart, and you will indeed be a great warrior"
I've had that happen before when I'm a bit too slow in getting the ingredients to put into the cauldron. Sometime I run into a chair or table the devs mistakenly left in the way. You'd think tripping hazards would be taken into consideration when working in a dimly lit room but apparently workplace safety isn't a thing in…
I'd just try to keep tactical team up as often as possible (via something like Photonic Officer) and maybe keep a hull heal handy i.e. Auxiliary to Structural. In the photo from your linked previous post you have room for A2SIF in the spot where you're using boarding party (marked in red).. I'd also consider swapping…
While having a look at the Reman engines I noticed that the Romulan engines give a boost to the Weapon Amplification skill instead of defensive maneuvering. https://stowiki.net/wiki/New_Romulus_Command_Advanced_Prototype_Space_Set#tabber-Reman_1 So the Reman engines might help in avoiding damage while the Romulan engines…
One line of thinking for PvE is that as long as you're moving, even at part throttle, your defense rating goes up quite a bit (in something like a BoP you could even rock back and forth a bit while firing at a stationary target). This line of thinking can be seen in some recent skill tree interpretations in which 3 points…
