Would something like cloudflare or other similar DDOS protection tools work for an MMO? I also really appreciate the dev attention.

You realize that as a lifetime member or gold member that you receive 4000 zen worth of respec tokens? Being able to reset a character 8 times is not trivial and offers far more flexibility off the bat for people who are subscribed.

Try running STO in windowed mode instead of Fullscreen. Otherwise Trillian has the chance to be superseded by STO in process priority. Sounds like a problem with Trillian itself, have you tried XMPP alone without STO with Trillian?

It's possible that you may have disabled your speaker control device. To reactivate it, just head into the "Hardware and Sound" tab to see if it is active. Right click on your speaker device inside and it should have an option to Enable/Disable. Let me know if that works.

There is absolutely no way to connect Trillian into STO. You just can't. STO uses and leases a proprietary voice engine that is not compatible with Trillian. If you need to chat ingame, I would recommend either Teamspeak or Ventrilo.

Although this might be trolling due to all the exclaimation points, I agree with 1 thing you said. 50 - 60 deserves to be slow. The 50 spec point levels after that do not deserve to be that slow. Getting spec points is the real tedious part.

Make sure you also look at the leveling requirements for WoW vs STO. STO requires more grinding to get to max.

Accx2 Dmgx2 is one of the worst actually. CrtDx4 will do about 25% more damage than those weapons generally.

Surgical Strikes Intel ability rank 1 and 3 or 1 and 2. Then add bio molecular phasers and a couple attack patterns. It should serve you well.
