Yes. The phaser PDS is fantastic, even more so if you are running phaser consoles. It chews through fighters, probes, and even a 3 pack of frigates die in seconds to this thing.

I still bothers me to no end that the MACO and Omega sets are not powerful enough to outclass the Borg set bonus. A MkXII Maco set is still not as good as the Borg 2 piece set, and the MkXII is much hrder to obtain.

Yes, the Nebula is a science vessel. It has interchangeable mission pods for specific scientific research. in game, it has subsystem targeting and 6 weapon slots, and top boff is science, making it a science vessel. I'm thinking that the Vesta will be the Star Cruiser refit, much like the Regent was the Assault Cruiser Refit. So look at the Regent, and have it lean toward science instead of tactical.

I am having the same issue with the Intrepid Refit and the Nebula class. I purchased them from the C-store a long time ago, but the current store is telling me that I need to buy them again. I sent a ticket in-game, and the reply was that I had probably purchased them with in-game currancy, which I did not.

Phasers couldn't be used, the beam travels at the speed of light. Weapons are limited to torpedoes, which travel at warp.
