Yea..in space it depends on which kind of placate it is.. Sci team will clear SCIENCE placates like Jam sensors..Eng team will clear the doff placate associated with Aux2Sif.. Miracle worker spec has an anti placate ability.. But as Fox mentioned..there are effects for placates that arent...Like that Quantum cloak clicky..

With science ships it's best not to rely on the conventional weapons for your primary damage.. Gw3 Vortex3 Drb and a differ Reverse tractor really mess up Npcs. Torpedos are a bonus
